See what’s happening at Christmas in Coyote Ridge with never-before-seen characters who are proving that the holidays are even better when they’re naughty.
Reilly Jameson has had a crush on her older brother’s best friend for as long as she can remember. This year, she’s decided to put it all on the line and see if she can give Brady McCord a nudge in the right direction. She intends to show him that despite the age difference, they can be really good together.
Donovan Jameson has shrugged off his attraction to his little sister’s best friend for quite some time because Tate Riggs is not his type. But for some reason, he can’t shake it anymore. When Tate calls him sweetie, Donovan wants nothing more than to dominate the younger man and show him just how sweet they can be together.
This is a full-length holiday romance with HEAs for two separate couples. Since their lives are so intertwined, it seemed more fun to let it play out side by side.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nicole Edwards spends her days stringing words together to make complete sentences. Sometimes not. Her best friend is coffee, and she has a love/hate relationship with sarcasm. She’s been accused of having a filthy imagination, which she admits is true.
Nicole lives in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. She proudly claims one husband, three grown children, and two bosses (better known as the dogs). When she isn’t writing, watching football or hockey, or keeping her bosses happy, you can probably find her with a book in hand.
Let me start by repeating... I can't believe I'm giving a Nicole Edwards a 2 star review!!! I adore this author, have loved the majority of her books! Caleb and Travis's books are still in my top bbf repeat reads! But this book reads not like a Nic book! The characters are just ok,the progression of the characters love interest, way to fast but could have been ok if there was a even a little connection with & between the characters, but there was not!! I liked Reilly and Tates friendship and the idea of hot chocolate wishes but that's where the likes end! There was no connection to these characters, it was literally like bouncing back and fourth trying to figure out these people, trying to form a connection to them & this story ! Bottom line imo it didn't flow effortlessly or hold my attention. Not even the sexytimes where equivalent to past reads. Seriously again...MY OPINION ONLY.... This didn't read like past books by this author😞✌
5 star review of Hot Chocolate Wishes (Jamesons of Coyote Ridge #1)
What's not to love? It's the most magical time of the year and also happens to be my most favourite holiday. I love any story that is centred on Christmas.
I was so happy to be back in Coyote Ridge; add in this new family, The Jamesons and I was hooked.
This is Reilly Jameson and Brady McCord as well as Donovan Jameson and Tate Riggs stories and I was quickly invested in both these couples and the story that Ms. Edwards wove.
Hot Chocolate Wishes is an entertaining, spicy story set around the holidays. It certainly put me in the mood for the holidays.
Cannot wait for more in this latest series from Nicole Edwards.
In true Nicole fashion this one certainly did not disappoint I loved every delicious second. Whenever I get in a reading slump or I haven't read in a long time it seems to be a Nicole Edwards book that drags me back kicking and screaming. The Jamesons are.becoming my new found favourites and without peeking I'm hoping stone's book is next! My fav couple in this.goes to Donovan and Tate for me this author just has a way with M\M characters that makes me want to live in it but I truly loved them all,.Bring on the next book.
This book reads like a novella. Well, more like two novellas in one. It’s the story of Reilly and Brady and the story of Reilly’s brother and Brady’s best friend Donovan with Reilly’s best friend Tate. Got that? Their stories are interwoven so it makes sense the author decided to make it one book instead of two novellas. It works extremely well with a very quick pace and spicy fun.
In many ways, these are insta-love stories, but since the characters have all known one another their whole lives with much pining in the past the speed makes some sense. Once Brady gets over his fear of ruining his friendship with Donovan and realizes his feelings for Reilly are like nothing he’s felt before, he’s all in. Donovan and Tate have a bit more to work through, but Donovan is also all in once he gets his head out of his butt. He just needs to assure Tate their relationship is the real deal.
Although this author’s books are all intertwined, this can be read as a true standalone. There are brief mentions of other characters that have been seen in the past, but it seems to be more introductory to future characters if anything. I was invested in the stories of the two couples and enjoyed their chemistry. It was refreshing that Donovan, as the big brother, was supportive from the start and trusted that his best friend is a great guy instead of questioning his motives. Some serious things are mentioned in the story, but overall it is a light and fun Christmas story.
Am not going to spoil or rave on about the read. Hot Chocolate Wishes was beautifully written. We are still in Coyote Ridge only we are reading about the Jamesons. Yes the appearance of Curtis & Lorrie was there too.
Hot Chocolate Wishes is exactly what is presented here. A box of hopes and wishes from Reilly & Tate. We weren’t wishing for IPhones this year 🫢😂😂😂
A loving story on love that never dies. As much as we love the Walkers, the Jamesons are here to tell stories too.
Nicole has a style of writing that is sentimental. You will fall in love with the characters and ask yourself - hmm, what’s happening next, who is next to discover what they are missing, the kids, the drama, the horror. The list goes on, but it never ends. You will become entangled within a spiderweb!
Hot Chocolate Wishes, the first story in the Jamesons of Coyote Ridge is a perfect start to a new series with characters that I cannot wait to get to know. From age gap storyline to best friends this book has it all. Reilly and Tate are best friends and so are Donovan and Brady. This book has the characters crossing lines and finding love but it also brings us steamy relationships that cross the bro code with Brady and Reilly and onto a hot MM relationship that is all Donovan and Tate. Tate and Reilly have been writing down their secret wishes together over hot chocolate for years and now they both have the chance to have their wishes come true and why not, especially if it involves chocolate!
I love my visits to Coyote Ridge and I was so excited to see a new family the Jamesons had arrived in one of my favourite fictional towns. Hot Chocolate Wishes is book one in the new Jamesons of Coyote Ridge and if this novella is anything to go by Ms Edwards will certainly have another hit series on her hands. This is Reilly Jameson and Brady McCord as well as Donovan Jameson and Tate Riggs stories and from the moment I picked this book up I couldn’t get enough of these couples. If you love the holiday season as much as I do you need to read this steamy, entertaining and magical read. Looking forward to what’s to come next from the Jamesons and Coyote Ridge.
No cliffhanger Standalone though book 1 in a larger series Told from 4 POVs 2 age gap romances in one (1 m/f, 1 m/m)
I love this author and I gobble up all her books. This is one of the tamer ones she has written recently but it was still quite steamy!
This book is 2 love stories in one. Two best friends falling her older men in their lives. Reilly for her brothers best friend, and Tate for Reilly’s brother.
Overall it was a quick, sweet read. No major drama which is a nice change to break up the drama filled books I’ve been reading lately.
Definitely worth the read. Excited about Stones book next.
Wildly sexy and funny! The Jamesons are a great family. Donovan and Reilly are part of this family. Tate and Brady are the extended family. Tate and Reilly have been best friends forever and share a place together. Within this group are two who have crushes on the others for a long time. This year Reilly decides to try to get something going. Tate and Reilly made special wishes. Will this even happen? But it looks like Reilly is very determined. Hang onto your hats because this could be fast!
Talking about starting a new series off with a bang. This is the first book in the Jamesons of Coyote Ridge series, from the Coyote Ridge World. This was a very quick and enjoyable read. I am so happy that we are going to get more of the town and extended family we love so much. These new characters are quickly becoming my favorites and I can't wait to see where their relationships go in the future Jamesons of Coyote Ridge book. Thank you Nicole for the Christmas present that will hopefully give for the next year to come with new books.
What a read, wow. This book is a fantastic read that will grab you and keep you interested and reading until the end. It moves along at a pace that is perfect for the flow of this story. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them and you cannot help but fall in love with them. This book is a must read that needs to be on your TBR list, there is no doubt about it. You will not be sorry that you read this.
I absolutely loved Hot Chocolate Wishes!! This is a new series in the Coyote Ridge world. It’s the Jameson family which Mrs. Jameson is Lorrie Walkers sister. This book has two couples in it. Donovan and Tate then Reilly and Brady. It isn’t just the hot chocolate that’s hot in this book. Reilly’s sassy attitude is hilarious. This book is a fast read and you won’t want to put it down until you’re done!
I really enjoyed Tate and Donovan and Reilly and Brady's stories. I loved that they had secret, or not so secret, crushes on each other for so long. Reilly and Tate were so mischievous in trying to get their crushes to notice them. It definitely wasn't that they didn't see them, but that they were trying to do the 'right' thing. There was so much chemistry between these couples. I loved it all.
What a perfect read to kick off the series. Not only do we get to know more about the Jameson Family but also we’re treated to two love stories from the siblings, Donovan and Reilly with their respective best friends, Brady and Tate. It’s a novella but it was fun, spicy and satisfying. It’s good to be back in Coyote Ridge this Christmas.
I love the Jamesons! They are naughty, dirty and totally delicious, Reilly and Tate are hilarious, mischievous but also super sweet. They know exactly which buttons to press and how much to tease to get their men to break and ravish them in the very best way! A fantastic start to the series and we also have a crossover too...bonus!
Wow not just one couple but two and two are finally getting their Hot Chocolate Wishes to come true. Tate's wish was Donovan (he's his best friends brother), Reilly's is Brady ( her brothers best friend and business partner).
I really enjoyed reading this book. I was very happy that Simone and Tate hot chocolate wishes came true. I can't wait to read the next book about the James one family.
I love the characters and the story line. And I love that we get two HEAS in one. The only thing I had difficulty with was I felt the relationships moved just a bit too quickly. We didn't have time to fall in love with the characters. However I am eagerly waiting to read more of the series.
was not expecting to read about multiple ppl in one story. it was actually cool to have a story from each viewpoint. and BFFs falling in love Sametime. ❤️ looking forward to reading more from Nicole in this series and her other books.
Really loved this story, there’s abit of back and forth to start with but once they all get there shizzle together the sparks fly! It’s a great start to the series and I highly recommend it.
Best book ever! I read about 4 books a week, reading whenever I can. I fell in love with the story lines and the characters! This was Hot in the best way possible!!
WOW! If this isn't the best introduction to a new series, I don't know what is. I loved every single word, every character, every couple. I can't wait to see what's next!
