Finding The Pieces is an unbelievable example of the power that God has within his plan for our lives. It is a friendly reminder that we do not have control over what happens in this plan, but it is up to us to trust and persevere. Kim displays this true practice within the countless ups and downs of her life through the beautiful words that she wrote in her story. Kim lived the perfect life, or so she thought, but soon her world came tumbling down. She was led by her faith to leave everything she knew and begin a new journey over 5,000 miles away in Italy. The experiences that she embarked upon would have never been possible without the people that God placed in her life. She takes you along with her, through every intricately woven moment; some comedic, some heart-tugging, some dreamy, some faith-strengthening, and some that will absolutely fill your heart with Joy as it did mine. Kim's love is travel, music (by Andrea Bocelli and Michael W. Smith, both of whom she got the pleasure to meet), the unconditional love of family (including the Paoloellas of course), sharing her amazing cooking, the remarkable Italian culture, and finally her Father in heaven. Kim takes guests along with her to share with them the captivating views and people of Italy. She shares her love for so many and is impactful to their lives while also being impacted. It is amazing the way the Father can work within you!
I was given this book by Kim herself, and I truly expected this overwhelming impact it would have on me before even reading it. Kim is someone who has a way of making you feel loved in all ways, especially by her extreme talent and way with words. I have studied abroad for three months in Italy this past spring of 2023 and cannot agree with her more on the strong emphasis she places on Italian life. It is something I dream about daily, and it changed my life completely. I have so much to relate to in this book, more than just Italy. Although, It made me gitty to hear about the places I have once stepped in and seen with my very own eyes and the places I hope to see in my future. I have also had the privilege to meet her gracious Italian family, the Paoloellas, in my last moments in Italy at their farm with my own family. They have been such a staple in our lives ever since and I will remember those times clear as day when I am older. I was emotionally connected to Kim while reading this book and have strengthened my faith through hearing hers.
I think that I can use this book as an inspiration throughout my life and through my opportunities to be a "Kim" for the people around me. I have recently experienced difficult and unexpected turns in my life that have made me so much stronger as a child of God. One of which was choosing to change the major I have dreamed about doing since I was in 5th grade as a junior in college and continuing school to become a Speech Pathologist instead. This was one of the hardest decisions I have made, but I have felt nothing but absolute joy ever since. I am excited to work with children day by day, who may have lost faith in their ability to communicate, and show them the capabilities they have through the love of our Father. I will use this book as a stepping stone to allow me to give each child a reason to get back up and know that they were made through the hands of a powerful God. I can't wait to see where this life takes me!

Seeing Italy through this writer’s eyes makes me want to visit Tuscany again and experience it with her. Love how she weaves her story along with the beauty of friendship (new & old) and travel. I throughly enjoyed this book!

This is a very inspirational read. The author encourages the reader to be open to life’s spontaneous adventures.
