Caress - Three Book Collection

Rate this book
As Iliya pulls Kenna from her lonely life, the attraction grows between them. Iliya opens a world of pleasure that Kenna never imagined was possible.

But not only does Iliya want Kenna, Iliya wants her husband Del to have her too.

While Kenna hungers for Iliya’s caress, she can’t fight her attraction to Del. Friendship deepens the bond and Kenna can’t say no to what Iliya offers – both of them. She can have both Del and Iliya.

But is that what she really wants? Caress is a steamy unconventional romance, “…an emotional story of self-awareness…of finding self-worth and joy of living life as you find happiness, friendship, and love."

... And the Thunder Rolls

I really wish this was integrated instead of overlapping timelines for the separate POVs. After Iliya's mic drop moment in the first segment and the way Del ended things in the last segment, I just want the story to move forward.

Please don't get me wrong, I like learning some of what drives all three of these characters, even when I disagree with them. It was just hard going back to where things ended in the Touch trilogy each time.

This is the second set of trilogies in a three-trilogy series that needs to be read in order.

Here are my individual reviews for each book. Happy reading! 📚💋

Caress 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Mixed Signals
For as hot as things get between Iliya Smoak and Kenna MacTavish, the more time we spend with Iliya, the less I like her. At this point, I'm hoping that Delancey "Del" Ecker will leave her and start a quiet, yet happy and fulfilling life with Kenna or anyone else.

Her touch awoke something long dormant. Her caress woke up a part of me I didn’t know existed.
-- Kenna MacTavish

I do love how Kenna stands up for herself with her sister and does the right thing when it comes to communication with Del and Iliya, even if that doesn't always end well.

Caress - Iliya's Story 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Digging Deeper
I read this, but after the mic drop moment at the end of Kenna's POV, I kind of rushed through some scenes. I really need the story to progress at this stage instead of the overlapping timeline.

I'm trying to figure out how this ends well for all interested parties as Iliya Smoak omits important information and tells her husband, Delancey "Del" Ecker, and their potential playmate, Kenna MacTavish, so many half truths.

But Amy is out of my life; our life. I have Kenna now. Kenna will keep me away from William. Even if she’s not Amy.
-- Iliya Smoak

Her trying to use Kenna as a means of curbing her true desires for William and Amy can't end well for anyone. She's addicted to them and the pain, dominance, and degradation they provide. Her actions tell the truth. As I said in my last review, I don't think she's the right person for Kenna or Del.

I do like the interesting tidbits about not only the three primary characters but several of their family members and acquaintances that come to light throughout. And despite my unfavorable opinions of Iliya and her relationships, I really do like the story.

Caress - Del's Story 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - The Dam Cracks
Delancey "Del" Ecker steals the show. I definitely wouldn't kick him out of bed! It makes me question Iliya Smoak's sanity, that's for sure. 😉

I like the connection he has with Kenna MacTavish. I really want to see that bond nurtured and strengthen.

There must be something about Kenna because it didn’t take me long to come aboard to Iliya’s suggestion.

And while not entirely fair to Kenna, I do like that Del FINALLY reacts to Iliya's actions instead of just pushing his feelings aside to give his wife what she wants. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Iliya and Del are married but looking for a new unicorn after their last long-term girlfriend. They meet Kenna and both feel a connection to her. Kenna has been a homebody since her divorce several years before but now might be the time to come out of her comfort zone.

The book is told first from Kenna's perspective, then Iliya, then Del hearing the whole story three times but with new information and learning their thoughts and secrets. At first I thought it might be boring hearing it over and over but it was actually pretty engaging. I just really dislike Iliya's character, she's terribly selfish and hypocritical. The more annoying part is that all of them are so real in their personalities it is really a study in characters. Honestly, I haven't decided if I want to read the next book but just because I can't stand Iliya, the spice was fun and interesting with a plot that you'd think would be tired but kept catching your interest again and again.

The second trilogy of the 9 book set, again broken down into the three main character POV’S.
I like the romance between Kenna and Del, but Iliya is a little “pushy”? I’m not sure if that’s the right word, but I’m just not as connected to her as the other two.
As with the first trilogy, this is steamy and emotional, I’m hoping that after the miscommunications and misunderstandings we’ve seen so far that the third trilogy gives a HEA (for at least some of the characters).

Caress is the second set of 3 books of the Touch Collection. It continues Kenna's journey into a relationship where she finds herself attracted to Illiya and her husband Del. The books/instalments are very steamy.
