Moonlight Serenade by Mia Hopkins poignant, bittersweet, and hopeful, about a married couple learning to rebuild their life and their love after a lengthy separation due to war. 4.5 ⭐️
The Memory of You by Elle Cruz a witch’s curse causes Eli and Holly to relive the same day over and over, unable to break the curse until Eli realizes that in order to break it, he has to let her go. 3 ⭐️
Maybe This Time by Kaye Rockwell second chance romance between 2 childhood besties reunited through work and the MMC’s careful machinations; liked the grovel. 4 ⭐️
Someone’s Always Saying Goodbye by Maan Gabriel instant lust turns to instalove for a love shy former romance novelist turned editor dealing with grief and a movie producer. 3 ⭐️
Moments in the Vineyard by Aurora Paige enemies to lovers between competing vineyard owners, 1 of whom is trying to buy the other one’s vineyard for his family’s business; awkward writing, no tension, quick resolution. 2.5 ⭐️
Double Exposure by June Gray second chance romance between high school sweethearts, this one was cute and sweet but had some consent issues. 4 ⭐️
Stay With Me by Liz Durano older woman/younger man, only one bed, liked this sweet and spicy story about a woman afraid to open her heart falling for the younger doctor who helps her after a car accident. 4.5 ⭐️
The Stand-In by Sarah Smith fake relationship and mutual secret pining between a florist and her assistant; normally I don’t love the boss/employee dynamic but this was cute. 3.5 ⭐️
Win Your Love by Tif Marcelo second chance plus competitors, this one was okay, the shared history helped, would’ve been better with a flashback. 3.5 ⭐️
Now That I Have You by Maida Malby the proposal, engagement, wedding planning, and wedding of Vida and Rafa is the feature of this story. Their wedding serves as the backdrop for most of the other stories in this anthology. 4 ⭐️
I purchased this anthology because of the Mia Hopkins story, and at this time it’s the only story I have read. And it was a really poignant, heartfelt story about an American man who went to the Philippines to teach English before World War 2, fell in love and married a Filipino girl, then spent time during the war in an internment camp. Once the war ended, they moved to the husband’s family vineyard in California, but he’s suffering from PTSD and is distant from his wife who loves his desperately. But Naty is determined to make a good life in the US for her children and help her husband find his way back to her. I loved this story.
I really enjoyed "Forevermore" by various authors. I wanted to read this collection since it featured one of my favorite authors Liz Durano and at the end - I discovered a whole new set of authors that I will be reading in the future. This was a great collection of connected stores that filled my weekend with entertainment. Well worth adding this to your book collection and introducing yourself to some amazing authors. Happy Reading...enjoy!
I came here for Moonlight Serenade by Mia Hopkins and it was so good! A tender story about a couple who have to come back together after experiencing deep loss and trauma. The rest of these stories were alright but didn't stick with me the way Hopkins's did.
What a wonderful selection of stories in this anthology. Loved them all. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed are my own and I have not been compensated for this review.
“You should give love the chance to work it’s magic. Love isn’t pain Carrie. It heals, but you need to give it a chance.”
What an excellent anthology and follow-up to Pasko Na My Love. The Filipino in me was "kilig" (giddy) with each story. I love how the story started with Lola Naty's story. The history behind the Hacienda and the love story that built it was a solid start. Each story was unique and drew different kinds of emotions from me. I was intrigued by the magical realism that Elle Cruz included in her story. Still, at the same time, it reminded me of the beliefs we had back home in the Philippines. I was surprised how I liked the surprise pregnancy and second chance tropes. Those two tropes have to be done right for me to love the story without me rolling my eyes or skipping it. But all the stories touched my heart, just like Filipino Telenovela does. That's what I like about reading stories, particularly love stories, written by Filipino American authors. They just don't incorporate the culture or family dynamics, but they know how Filipinos love. We say it in Tagalog: "Nahuli nila ang kiliti" of the readers (they captured what tickles or fancy the readers). Each love story has different beginnings and different conflicts. Still, all of them remind you how beautiful love can be and that it will conquer all when it is meant to be. I am happy how Vida and Rafa's love story ended and how their love brought past and new love together. The only negative thing about this book is that the pages are not long enough to tell each love story. I wanted to read what happens next as this love story moves forward.
10 additional stories and a lovely sequel to last year's "Pasko Na, My Love: A Holiday Anthology." Beautifully interwoven and seamlessly transitioned from the previous book, this collaborative work among these Filipina American authors sets the pace among romance fiction. Not only does it have steamy romance among a variety of tropes, but it also pays homage to Filipino American families through its showcase of our Filipino history, values, and traditions. A great addition to add to your Filipino American bookshelves, as there's something here for everyone, including fans of historical fiction and Filipino folklore!
Thank you Maan Gabriel for this ARC of Forevermore A Romance Anthology! 🤍 All of these authors were new to me except for Maan Gabriel. This book was made up of a variety of tropes such as opposites attract, second chance romance, one night stand, surprise pregnancy, enemies to lovers, age gap, fake relationship and more. There is something for everyone in this book!
LOVED it! The setting and family dynamic reminded me of holidays with mine! I also love that I got to read several of my favorite tropes! FRIENDS to LOVERS and WORKPLACE ROMANCE are superior! My favorites are Kaye Rockwell's Maybe This Time and Sarah Smith's The Stand In which seemed to be connected with several characters.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of Stay With Me by Liz Durano and am voluntarily leaving a review of that story.
I enjoyed this quick story. Pascal and Tallie meet just when they are meant to. Tallie has scars from her past she is struggling to deal with. Pascal may be just what she needs.
I received an ARC from the publisher (also one of the authors) and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own. Having really enjoyed last year’s Pasko Na My Love anthology, I was excited that there would be a follow-up this year, and it promised to be bigger and better, with even more authors participating. Forevermore, like its predecessor, is set in the same shared-world and is once again set around a single event, this time a wedding between two characters, Vida and Rafa. I also like that, in expanding the repertoire of authors, the genres represented were also expanded, going from purely contemporary to sprinklings of historical and magical realism, without losing its thematic cohesion. Prior to getting into my opinions about the stories themselves, I wanted to comment that I did like the choice to include everything from tropes to heat levels to content warnings alongside each story. It was very helpful to know what to expect, and sometimes what to skip, as I’ll get into more a bit later. I am a bit concerned as to whether these will be made available anywhere else, as this setup makes it impossible to view in the “preview” feature before purchasing on Amazon or other retailers. Granted, skipping one story in an anthology for content isn’t going to diminish the value of the entire book, especially one this chonky (in my personal opinion), but given the variety of themes and heat levels, I would like the option to view them elsewhere for those interested. Now, getting into the stories themselves: I love that this anthology started strong with a historical, and one that ties back to the previous anthology. Mia Hopkins’ “Moonlight Serenade” follows a young Naty (Lola Naty) as she and her husband, Robert, move from the Philippines to the US after World War II. It’s a beautiful story about falling back in love, in spite of myriad challenges, from dealing with an irascible mother-in-law to financial struggles to the scars of PTSD Robert is dealing with after the war, and while it’s a lot to deal with in such a short story, it’s no less beautiful. “The Memory of You” by Elle Cruz was also quite interesting, although it does push the bounds of the definition of romance. But I did like it, and it pulled at my heartstrings quite a bit. Kaye Rockwell’s “Maybe This Time” is a solid second chance romance, reuniting two childhood best friends. Cole spends the story trying his best to make up for the past, and I really rooted for him and Gabriella to work it out. “Someone’s Always Saying Goodbye” by Maan Gabriel was the skip for me. Surprise pregnancy is very hit-or-miss for me, and short stories provide as little time to work through the consequences as full length third act pregnancies do. I do like the concept though, especially as it involves a romance novelist. “Moments in the Vineyard” by Aurora Paige was all right…I liked the concept of rival vineyard families, but it didn’t really deliver the tension and drama I wanted from a story like this. “Double Exposure” by June Gray was pretty sweet, and I liked how the flashbacks helped to flesh out their second chance romance in the present. While this can be hard to pull off in a short story, I feel like this story made good use of the page time/word count given here. “Stay With Me” by Liz Durano was another really solid one that hit emotionally. I felt for Tallie for all she’d been through, and rooted for her to find happiness and healing. “The Stand-In” by Sarah Smith was fun, and I really liked the chemistry between Violet and Toby. There’s solid mutual pining and a great mix of some fun tropes, like fake dating and a fairly non-toxic boss/employee dynamic. “Win Your Love” by Tif Marcelo stood out to me because it already subverted a trope with a fake date ghosting Alexandra, giving me a chuckle. The story then going into her rivalry with Jordan made it more fun, as the tension and chemistry was very well-done, making me root for them to finally get over it and get together. Maida Malby’s “Now That I Have You” perfectly closes out the anthology, featuring the lead-up to Vida and Rafa’s big day, after it being featured in the background of many of the other stories in this anthology. I loved seeing these festivities from their perspective, and all the shenanigans that ensued in the midst of it. It’s also just great to read a story between a couple already together that aren’t dealing with major challenges to their relationship, making this perfect for the short-story format. While some of these stories were better than others, this is still a fun anthology overall, and there really is something for every romance reader’s taste. If you’re looking for a unique collection of multicultural romance, I’d recommend checking this out!

Ten wonderful romances with a wedding central to the story. The book begins with the matriarch, Naty Moore, reminiscing about her first visit to her husband’s vineyard that is now also the Hacienda Luz. It was marvelous returning to see how this loving extended family is doing and see which members of the family and some of their friends will find their happily ever after at the autumn wedding.
Each story provides a description of the story along with triggers and heat level. There are stories for everyone with many romance genres provided. I loved hearing how Natividad “Naty” and Robert met, married and ended up in Napa. This historical portion was a treat and I love Mia Hopkins writing. I ended up reading two stories featuring older women with younger men and the couples were perfect for one another. The Second chance for Gabriella “Bri” and Cole was a delight as was good girl Viola and bad boy Toby’s stories. The fifth story was that of Rafa and Vida as they became engaged and then prepared for the big family event of their wedding. The other five stories are waiting for me and will be read but not by publication date and I do want to get this review posted.
Thank you to the authors for the ARC – This is my honest review.
Stay with me by Liz Durano Tallie is trying to mend her broken heart and self esteem. She left her home after her husband's death and hasn't been back, but her BFF is getting narried and she can't miss it. Pascal is a man who doesn't have time for a serious relationship. His work is his life. These two meet on a highway when Tallie is in an accident. Pascal comes to her assistance. Their attraction is immediate and they do act on it. Tallie assumes she'll never see him again. Fate has other ideas and discovers that Pascal is bf with Tallie's bf new husband. These two realize they have something and decide to act on it. Though there is an age difference it's nit really an issue.
This is a really enjoyable, fast paced, romantic anthology which I would highly recommend. All of the authors writings was captivating and moving, not a single one let the team down. I loved how they were all interconnected yet so different. And I love how they all contain the word ‘forevermore’ which is also the title. My reason for rating it down slightly is because although they were enjoyable, I didn’t feel too deep into it, I didn’t feel a connection which I feel when I really click with a book. I’m grateful to have been sent this as part of its tour in return for an honest review.
A 4.5, because each story touched my heart and made it flutter.
Loved this wonderful book anthology! It was a collection of love stories from Filipino-American authors and I enjoyed every minute of it! Each story was a standalone but inter-connected. It was light, romantic and have an HEA. Each author showcased their own genres and tropes. I have followed each and every author! Love you all! I'm now a fan.
If you are looking for a quick read, this book is for you!
This was a great anthology consisting of ten short stories written by different Filipino American authors. All the stories are based around Vida and Rafa’s wedding. One of my favorite authors, Liz Durano, was included in this anthology. As usual, she wrote a heartwarming romance that I loved. I found new authors to enjoy as well. I still need to finish, but I look forward to reading all them all!
Wonderful anthology with the Moore family and their amazing Vineyard in Napa. Vida and Rafa’s wedding is the background for different love stories from Filipino- Americans Authors. Liz Durango’s Stay with really touch your heart with the second chance, older woman plot.
