I loved this one. It showed how true friendships can be and that even though you can do more damage to get to your dream that sometimes it's better to show mercy. I liked that Enzo and Ajax both got there dream to Valor Dragons.

Enzo and Ajax are best friends. They know each other's strengths and weaknesses. When they had to fight each other in the tournament, Enzo showed mercy for his friend that was hurt very badly. Being a Valor Dragon means you have honor and respect.
If I had written a dragon book for my 9 year old son, this is exactly what I had envisioned it would be. I research and pre-read a lot of books before I hand them over to my children to fill their heads with and this one passed the test for every standard. I read half of the Princess and the Fox from this author and wasn’t impressed, but this one met every hope. It is just creative enough to give it style while not over complicating it for the age range. The dragons possess good character, sending all the right messages to their young audience. There is nothing inappropriate or done in poor taste, making it the perfect addition to a classroom or family library. I’m very thankful she wrote this one because my son specifically asked for dragon books and there is not a ton of variety for his current reading level. I’m positively thrilled.
Cute story for confident emerging readers. This was hard as a read aloud because the sentence structure is very basic. I understand concepts and sentences are restructured and repeated for comprehension, but as an adult reading it, it comes across as repetitive and overly simple. Character names are repeated a lot, and increased use of pronouns would be nice. Overall, as a children's book for a child to read, it's fantastic. Great story about friendship with interesting characters and themes.
I read this to my 5-year-old daughter and she loved it. It was the perfect length to not lose interest and enough going on to keep her listening. I loved the message the dragons were displaying and the lessons the story taught. I feel like this is a great book for 6 to 11-year-olds to read on their own. Especially if they love dragons. Would recommend!
My 10 year old son read this and loved it! He loves reading but greatly prefers comic and manga style books, so I was hoping this book would help him get into chapter books more. The story is fun with an awesome friendship plot. It has a great lesson at the end that I will not spoil but this is perfect for younger readers!
Such a small beautiful covered chapter book that left me bored. Sadly I didn’t connect with characters or setting so probably won’t read others. Maybe it just wasn’t the right time for me to read it. Not bad, just meh.
I have been reading these books to my boys. So this is their review. We love the dragons and how there is something to learn in each book. Enzo knew how to fight with kindness. When we finished this book they were sad that it was over.
The epitome of trash formulaic writing that comes out these days. To top it off the illustrations are terrible. It feels like there was as little effort as humanly possible put into these.
My 7-year-old read this book aloud in 2 sittings. He made me download the whole series so that I could add them all to his iPad. I loved the author’s message and the lessons taught throughout the story.
