I am almost finished going through this devotion with my 17 year old daughter. It is one of the best we have ever done. Just this morning, before we began, we were discussing how Stormie seems to have written this book, every sentence, just for us. Each chapter has touched upon matters of importance in our hearts and in our particular lives right now. It is difficult to imagine that anyone would read this and not be benefited by the time spent.
The book begins by examining just who God is and what difference that makes to us. From there, the examinations, reflections, and considerations continue to probe our relationship with the Lord, His call on our lives, and the difference He desires to make in us and through us. Chapters like: Is The Bible Relevant to My Life? Do I Have To Say Yes To God Each Day? What About My Friends? and more have given us so much to sift/talk/battle/wade/pray through.
Oftentimes, parents don't know how to disciple their teens, get them thinking about life biblically, or initiate discussions regarding matters pertinent to their walk. Devotions can offer tremendous assistance to us, and this book now holds place as one of my highest recommendations for the challenge of interacting well with your young adults.
