I borrowed this 2 hour "workbook" on audio only because the full book wasn't available through my library and I was in a hurry to get more information. It has a short summary of each chapter, with bare-bones information. Even though it felt abbreviated and wasn't very gripping reading, it seemed well done for what it is. And it was enough to convince me that I want to read more. I have the hardback on order now and look forward to a deeper dive.
Great guide to fasting, also what foods to feed your microbiome, and how to adjust your fasting cycle to account for a woman’s hormonal cycle.
Great information and easy read. This is the shorter version of a longer book which has additional recipes and information. The workbook was perfect for me!
This workbook for Fast Like a Girl by Dr Mindi Pelz was all I needed to refresh my previously learned lessons from the original without going thru the whole thing again. I doing some of the added information very helpful, for example the definitions of the technical terms and advices. Exercises were also helpful and the fasting tracker very much apreciatted.
This book is a must-have for women of all ages interested in fasting. It confirms and expands upon my personal experiences, making it highly motivating and beneficial for achieving various goals beyond just appearance.
Even though I have read Fast like a girl this is a great companion and provided information I was looking for and hadn't gotten from the book. Maybe it was because it was condensed down and easy to follow, or maybe because it was reiterating what I had read. Highly recommend this.
I checked this book out because I thought it was about getting faster 😅, but I really loved the in-depth research on fasting and how it relates to hormones. It was definitely good enough information to keep me reading even though it didn’t make me any faster 🤣
