Gorgeous and insightful, this book makes me want to play the game all over again!!

My only problem with it is I wish there was more. More sketches, more insights, I would have gladly spent more time in character and suit design than environments but that isnt as indicative of the art of the GAME. And I'm a biased costume girlie soooo. But yeah, so often I would be reading like that's so cool!! Tell me more! Just for the topic to change, so as pretty as this book is to look at, I would have loved more explanation and analysis and insight on the designs and the art itself.

Super fun and relaxing read, AWESOME hardcover with an epic print. So happy to add this to the collection 😁

It is rare to find an art book as comprehensive as this one. Most excel in some areas but fall short in others; however, this book checks all the boxes and features stunning artwork, making it a perfect coffee table piece. For those curious about the game's design process, it offers detailed insights, both visual and written.

The concept art for characters is particularly impressive, showcasing various design iterations. The book includes large-scale concept art for locations and key events, each serving as a standalone art piece. I am particularly fond of the architectural views of NYC depicted here. Additionally, there’s a section dedicated to the graffiti used in the game, which enhances the overall feel.

The only potential drawback is the book's length, as it contains a vast amount of material. The numerous Spider-Man suits, while interesting, can start to feel repetitive. However, the book isn’t meant to be read in one sitting.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys 'art of' style books, regardless of whether they played the game. For those who have played it, this book offers beautiful art and deeper insight into the game world. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.
