I feel like you could play a drinking game with the lines "I/You should have tried to find him/her/you/me harder".

I really liked Kim in the beginning taking control of her life for her daughter and then that person goes away for a lot of the book - insert drinking game. I liked it but probably wouldn't recommend nor read again.

Synopsis: A working single mom realizes how badly she’s neglected her teenage daughter and how her daughter had been being bullied at school. Finally getting the wake up call she needed, she quits her all-consuming job and moves. Taking her daughter to a bed and breakfast which is their new home/business. Her daughter shines bright in the new environment and their relationship is back on track. But then comes the bombshell… Mia’s dad is here. But MIA knows nothing about him and Kim was never able to tell him he had a daughter…

My Review: A decent listen, but there was so much angst/miscommunication throughout the book! I got frustrated with both the MC’s numerous times. But the ending was a happy one at least, after a traumatic bit.

Enjoyable read but...

I love these books and find them a nice easy read but the spelling errors aren't great. Such a shame.

I hate that Kim kept putting off the inevitable. But when she talks about putting her daughters feelings first, it hits so close to home.

Another great story of a single mom making the hard decisions and praying that she gets it right.

This book actually made me think that I might have been a little too hard on my daughter lately and makes me think about the parent I want to be.

I give Berry Grove Bed & Breakfast 4 out of 5 full English breakfasts 🍳

Very much enjoyed the arc the main character goes through, sensitive but tough and innovative.

I am a fan of storylines where the main character comes back from being down and desperate, Sarah Hope convincingly sets the tone and tenor of having your life turned upside down and having the tenacity to not only overcome but thrive.

Very much enjoyed.

what a lovely story

What a great story, lots of emotions running through the pages. So glad it had a happy ending! It portrays a single Mum trying to do the best she can for her daughter, and not exactly getting it right. But making a snap decision, changed everything.

While initially enjoying the book and Kim’s " take no prisoners "attitude in her corporate job in part one. By part two she appeared to have undergone a character change and kept second-guessing herself, postponing decisions and setting herself up to fail. It didn’t work for me.

Sweet easy reading. Not your typical romance.

I enjoyed the dynamics of all the relationships
Tiny bit of fear. And some stand out pieces too. All told a good story,I enjoyed it but it didn't take long to read.

4 stars for the first half and 1 star for the second half. Both leads seemed terrible at relationships/ communication. Also, Danny can't pick up the FL's calls (already forgotten her name lol) but picks up the call of the old couple (they were adorable) and goes out for a drink with them?

Wonderful nobel

Fabulous single parent story with a good old fashioned plot of a parent putting child first and ending up with happy ever after for both of them
