I couldn’t figure out why everyone was treating me so strangely. It was just supposed to be another normal Monday morning. But when I got to my office, normal quickly turned into something much different. Sneaky glances, cold shoulders, and suggestive comments that made no sense. My supervisor coming on to me unexpectedly. A last minute summons to meet with my boss. Then, in the office bathroom, my friend showed me her phone. And I saw my face. Doing shocking things. But it wasn’t me . Now I’m unemployed, isolated, and my reputation is in tatters. I can’t go anywhere without being harassed. No one believes me, not even my family. Except for one friend who put me in contact with Blade and Arrow Security, and I’m desperately hoping they can help me. I wanted to protect her from the moment we met. As soon as I met Charlie, I liked her immediately. And I knew she was telling the truth. She was trying to stay strong, not just from a series of vicious attacks, but the betrayals of her friends and family. She had every right to be bitter, but she was nothing but kind and sweet. I can’t stand watching her suffer hit after hit and not be able to comfort her the way I want. To hold Charlie and take away all her pain. To be more than just her bodyguard. There are so many reasons to keep things platonic. She’s a client. She’s vulnerable. I’m not good enough for her. But my heart has a different idea. I’ll do anything to protect her. Because whoever’s behind this isn’t content just to ruin Charlie’s career and reputation. Now she’s in danger, too. And as I’m quickly learning, a virtual attack can still draw blood. Saved from Deception is the fourth book in the Blade and Arrow Security series. It has an alpha hero, a smart and strong heroine, a team of former Green Berets, lots of twists and turns, plenty of romantic moments, a found family, action, danger, and steam! No cliffhangers and a happily-ever-after guaranteed! (Can be read as a standalone novel)
Gia Cobie is a librarian and author living in upstate New York. In her spare time, Gia enjoys reading and spending time in the Adirondacks. She loves romantic suspense and paranormal romance, and also has a weakness for reality romance shows, wine, and buying way too many books!
Ms. Cobie is now a favorite author. This is my second book from her and I loved it. You get pulled into the story from the get-go and although it's not super long, it is not short on the feels. Charlie goes through a ridiculous amount of crap, but from the beginning, Rylan is so protective and sweet. It felt so natural and there's no contrived drama as far as the relationship. I definitely recommend giving this a go if you're into military/security romance.
Another great installment to the Blade & Arrow series
Every time the fmc's mother spoke I could picture her sitting in one of the newer McMansions because she thought she was too good for the Victorian ones. It's nice to see an author depict their story in a setting that hits so close to home. I get the feeling Gia Cobie would be the type of Upstate gal who knows the spring closest to SPAC smell like rotten eggs and tastes even worse, and I absolutely agree that Saratoga is at its best when it isn't track season.

Saved from Deception is the fourth book in the Blade and Arrow Security series and an interconnected standalone. The author showed passion, eerie and intrigue building them up in a perfect way wrapped up in a gripping storyline. With every page, story gets more intriguing and has reader rooting for the happy ending. Saved From Deception is sizzling, action-packed, suspenseful mystery adventure but also emotional and heartwarming.
Charlie and Rylan will steal your heart. Charlie's life takes sudden dark turn being a victim of a virtual attack with purpose to ruin her career and reputation. What hurts the most is no one believes her, not even her own family, except her friend who put her in contact with Blade and Arrow Security. She desperately needs their help because this attack was quickly escalating, she is being harassed, isolated, and betrayed. Enters Rylan who becomes her bodyguard. He immediately knows she is telling the truth and offers his help. They were just incredibly beautiful, at times heartbreaking, sharing a unique, emotional connection, pull and bond. Both are flawed, complex, and have been through so much. They continue to grow together and get closer even through denial and trying to keep distance - to keep things platonic since she is his client and being vulnerable but also Rylan thinking he is not good enough for her. This layer of complexity of keeping things professional adds to their internal conflict, unspoken desires, their relationship and character development but also blurs the line between heart and mind. Charlie and Rylan share a deep genuine love connection that is so powerful and caring that adds another layer to their romance and plot.
This book has everything a reader could possibly want: an alpha hero, a smart and strong heroine, a team of former Green Berets, lots of twists and turns, plenty of romantic moments, a found family, action, danger, and steam. It's a great addition to this series.
Every time I tell myself that Gia Cobie can't get better, she releases another book and blows me out of the water all over again. I go back and forth between which of her series is my favorite, and I really have a hard time deciding. This is the fourth book in the Blade and Arrow Security Series and I just could not put it down. I pretty much already know that's going to be the case with her books so I make sure I have a good chunk of time set aside so I can read the whole thing in one sitting.
This one was all about Rylan and Charlie. She was desperate for help when her reputation was called into question with adult photos and videos of her being posted on the internet. Those around her from co-workers to family actually thought that she was posting them herself and called her entire reputation into question. She lost her job and couldn't get interviews anywhere to get another one. She was desperate and whoever was doing this to her was escalating.
Luckily, Rylan stepped up and immediately believed Charlie and showed concern about how things around her were escalating. While there was a ton of chemistry between Rylan and Charlie, there was also just something so sweet and natural about the progression of their relationship and the deep connection between the two of them. I was completely hooked on them and could have used an entire extra book just on the two of them and their relationship.
As usual, I absolutely recommend Gia Cobie, her Blade and Arrow Security series, and any other series by her. I also recommend that you give yourself a proper chunk of time to sit and begin these books because if you are anything like me, you're going to completely devour any one of her books that you pick up in one sitting.

Cobie skillfully develops the characters, making them relatable and multidimensional, especially the protective hero Rylan who finds himself drawn to more than just his duty.

With Saved from Deception, book 4 in the Blade & Arrow Security series, Gia shows that the action doesn't always need to come in the psysical way but can also happen on an emotional level.
Charlie's got a promising career as an atterney when suddenly she loses everything she's worked so hard for through a viscious virtual attack. Someone is set out to ruin her career and her life by posting video's and photo's of her in compromising acts. Being shunned by family and collegues, getting harassed each time she sets foot outside, she's getting desperate. Luckily she's got one friend left who brings her in contact with Blade & Arrow.
When Rylan meets Charlie he immediately feels she's telling the thruth and vows to do everything he can to protect her and solve the case. There's an immediate attraction between him and Charlie but having been through a lot himself and keeping some secrets that cause him to feel he'll never be good enough for any woman to have a relationship, he tries to just be her bodyguard and keep things platonic.
The developping relationship between Rylan and Charlie is so beautiful to see, bringing her into the fold of the Blade & Arrow family, the care he shows towards her, supporting her through all the difficult times and return Charlie being there to listen to him and showing him he's more than enough and worthy of having someone to love him.
Yet again Gia gave us another great story that kept me glued to my Kindle and I can't wait for the next one in the series.
2.5* Really good but yet another reluctant mmc yet again, and rather depressing at times.
I did really enjoy this one, and the team don’t make stupid mistakes. Phew. On the the flip side though is Rylan’s reluctance to get into a relationship with Charlie, sigh, and it’s really depressing at the beginning. I can’t believe that no one believed Charlie when she said it wasn’t her! It’s frightening how often these things happen now.
When Charlie goes into work as a lawyer and all her co-workers are acting strange, she doesn’t realise it’s the start of a nightmare for her. Someone has put Charlie’s face on different porn films, and posted them on the internet. This is where it gets a bit silly again. As EVERYONE in her small town knows what she’s supposed to have done. I really don’t believe that the whole town all watch porn videos!!! That’s the only way that they could see that! Anyway moving on. When no one believes her and her life in tatters, her one true friend who knows Cole, (NOT AGAIN!) gets the team at B&A to help her.
As the nightmare gets progressively worse, soon every single man is trying it in with her, and the women all hate her. She can’t get a job and it’s really depressing. Rylan and Leo are staying at hers to investigate and protect her. As things rapidly become dangerous she moves into the B&A building. Rylan and Charlie are soon in a relationship but the danger is far from over.
It is really good but there are still some silly over the top parts.
I was in the mood for a book to get in lost and this was it. The absolute horror that Charlie was going through meant Rylan and the Blade & Arrow Security team (and their partners) were literally a life saver. Everywhere she turned – her boss, her friends, her family – they actually believed she was posting adult photos and videos of herself. The way her life imploded had my stomach in knots for her – how easy it seemed to lose everything. Thank goodness for that one true friend that led her to Rylan…
Every twist and turn was another knife in the heart for Charlie yet Ryland would not let her be. He was her protector and her knight in shining armor. When things became too much, he was there to hold her hand. To just be there and let her know things were going to be okay. Even when everything, everyone, seemed to be working against her…
The two were dynamite together and how they pushed through everything to find their HEA, well… It was a read I could not finish fast enough. A twisty ending was the cherry on top and so was the love that came out of the chaos.
This was a good standalone read but I need to know ALL the Blade & Arrow crew better. I’ve read one other in this series and can’t wait to catch up on all the books!
an attorney who goes into work and can’t figure out why people are treating her weirdly. Little does she know that totally horrible untrue things are being presented on the web as her. She is released from her job and the spiral downward continues. A friend reaches out to her and asks her if she would like help in solving the problem that has gotten bigger than she can imagine. She meets the guys from Blade and Arrow. They take the case realizing it’s not something Charlie can handle on her own. And it’s not getting any better. Leo and Rylan as assigned to her case. Leo is the tech guy trying to find out who and where it started from, Rylan is the bodyguard responsible for her personal safety. And the guy who is very taken by her. Over time, they decide to move Charlie back to B & A headquarters. It’s here where Charlie and Rylan’s attraction becomes stronger. Things tend to get better and with the help of some of B & A ‘s friends the videos are being removed and the culprits are found and jailed. But Ryland is unwilling to let her go and he is falling for her hard! Then something terrible happens to Charlie and Ryland is beside himself with fear that he will never hold her again in his arms again. Read the book to find out what happens, it was a great read. Thoroughly enjoyed the time spent. Get the book. Plain and simple get it and enjoy the great story
'Saved from Deception' is a perfect description of the damage malicious social media can do to a person. Charlie is an attorney who is facing an unknown smear campaign where fake adult videos and pictures with her face on them has been spreading on the internet. She is fired from her job, isn't safe going outside as everyone seems to have seen that media and is extremely frightened. A friend suggests Blade and Arrow Security for protection and that is where she meets Rylan.
Rylan and his team agree to help protect her and to find out who is at the bottom of the malicious media. Cobie takes the reader through the ups and downs faced by Charlie and Rylan in her usual talented way of writing. There are so many twists and turns for the brave Charlie. The shock is when Cobie reveals who the perpetrators are and that was a real surprise. Charlie and Ryland get their happily ever after and she finds a new family with Blade and Arrow.
I love all the books in the Blade and Arrow series. Gia Cobie is a terrific writer who has a talent for keeping the readers completely engrossed in her stories. I can't wait for the next book in her series!

Another great read by Gia. This book offers suspense, romance, intrigue with great characters.
The book starts with Charlie who is an attorney comes back to work after the weekend and everyone at the firm is acting strange. She wonders what is going on and is called into the boss's office and terminated immediately for pornographic videos.
She has no idea what is going on and tries to explain that it isn't her, but nobody will listen.
A friend tells her about Blade and Arrow Security, and she turns to them for help. Her life is in turmoil and cannot even find a job due to the horrific videos out on the internet.
Leo and Rylan as assigned to her case. Leo is the tech guy who is looking into who did this to her. Rylan is her bodyguard who is responsible for her safety as each time she has tried to go out by herself, there are men leering at her and calling her terrible names.
Leo is at his wits end and contacts both Beth and Tex to assist on finding out who is responsible and also getting all the videos removed.
This book has so much depth with wonderful characters and the budding romance between Charlie and Rylan.
I definitely recommend this book. Another great addition to the Blade and Arrow Series.
Arc was provided by the Author, and I am Thrilled to leave a review!!! Saved from Deception is a first read for me from this author but definitely won't be my last. This is the 4th book in the Blade and Arrow Security series. I will now go back and read the first three... it was that good. Right from the first page I became immersed in this story. The M/F main characters were so multi-dimensional and relatable I was hooked. Charlotte "Charlie" was spiraling in a life changing ordeal that sets her on a path that needs Blade and Arrow Security, and they deliver. Rylan is a protective yet flawed hero that you root for from his first appearance in this story. Retired Green Beret with linger injuries that make him dig deep. "I will not fail those with whom I serve" is his mantra as he pushes his physical strength. Perfect!!! Charlie has had a tough go in life. Her family was critical and condescending regarding her and her life choices. This forced her to forge her own path. She is strong and resilient and very likeable. In short, this book has it all. Alpha male hero, likeable, resilient heroine and a team of former Green Berets backing them up. The romance and suspense are well done and keep you engaged to the end.
Heart-aching and thrilling from the very first pages. Charlotte “Charlie” Laine is confused, something is wrong at her work. Charlie, a corporate attorney, soon learns that someone has posted vile videos and photos using her face; but it is not her. She soon finds herself out of a job and accosted by strangers. Even her parents believe that she has posted the videos and abandon her. If not for her good friend Erin, who recommends the team at Blade and Arrow Security, she would have had to struggle on her own. Rylan Jacobson is sent to protect her as his teammate, Leo Wilder searches for the person or persons who are trying to destroy her life. Spending time with Ry soon puts her at ease and slowly they become more than friends. When they finally find the perpetrator, is she finally safe or will danger continue to stalk her? A truly emotional story as Charlie tries to understand who could do this and why. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
Saved From Deception is a rollercoaster ride with so many twists and turns it is hard to keep up. This story will keep you guessing from beginning to end. The premise is hard to deal with in that something could happen just like this in our days of internet usage. Charlie and Rylan make a great couple and you will instantly feel all the feels with these two. This author has an amazing connection with her characters and her readers instantly fall in love with them. Secondary characters are vitally important to this story and are completely understandable and believable. I love stories with alpha men and the kick a$$ women they love. This is part of a series but all of the author's books can be read as a standalone. I definitely recommend reading the rest of the series as you will love the stories and characters.
I only discovered Gia Cobie fairly recently and have binge-read all of her books in a short time. This is the fourth book in the Blade and Arrow series and it certainly did not disappoint. This book follows the romance between Rylan and Charlie, Charlie was desperate for help after adult photos of her had been posted on the internet and her reputation was in tatters. Not only was this book a great read with an exciting plot line and a steamy romance but it also brings to light some of the dangers of social media. It was great to catch up with other members of Blade and Arrow Security and the camaraderie between the team members and their significant others is certainly impressive. My only complaint is that now I have caught up, I am going to have to author stalk until the next instalment. I recommend this book highly
This is the fourth book in the Blade and Arrow Security series. You can read it as a standalone but it is connected to the first three books so you may have some spoilers for those books. Charlie and Ryland's story is a crazy, turbulent ride. Blade and Arrow Security takes Charlie's case. She's terrified, she's jobless and she's being harassed and assaulted after someone uploads fake videos of her on the web. Ryland feels protective of Charlie the moment he hears how she is being terrorized. There's a strong connection and bond between them. Fast paced, page turning, I couldn't put it down. This series has become a must read for me. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The plot was ok. The first half of the story was focused on all the bullying Charlie was getting from everyone who knew her and strangers. After the thirteenth chapter, I was ready to see something else happen. The reason for the bullying was a bit anticlimactic. I think the author realized that too, so she inserted another thread into the story and made a much more dynamic climax happen out of nowhere.
The romance part of the story was also ok. Definitely a slow burn. But, once they decided they liked each other, Charlie and Ry got along angst-free. I truly loved the beautifully romantic proposal.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
There is a lot to like about SAVED BY DECEPTION: slow burn, wounded hero, spicy (eventually), protective hero, interesting plot. For my taste the characters seems to act too young for their age. Charlotte often seemed childlike yet she was a corporate attorney. Rylan I would have guessed was 10 years younger than his age.
It’s clear it is part of a series with close knit characters and I liked all of them. I liked the security agency setting and would have liked to read more about it. Apart from a few slow spots and some repetitive elements, the writing was good.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Saved from Deception is a must read full of suspense and drama the author keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next unbelievable wow moment and believe me there is more than one but none more than when the person responsible is revealed but the twisty surprises don't end there mercy this is a Emotional draining heartbreaking story with well developed characters and a found family as a support system this series just keeps getting better and better and I can't wait for the next book. I received a advance review copy and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
blessings of the digital world Charlie and Rylan´s story is so much more than a combination of romance and thriller. It reminded me how much damage can be done by manipulating digital data and how hard it is for the victims to prove their innocence. Poor Charlie was judged without even being given the benefit of doubt, when everybody should keep in mind it could happen to them, too and how grateful we are for support when we are in dire straits. Of course finding out who did this to Charlie and the chemistry between the protagonists add to the fact that I couldn´t put the book down.
A very interesting plot line. Make some time because you won’t be able to put it down. Charlie’s whole world implodes seemingly overnight. I was immediately pulled into the turmoil of her predicament of how the internet (don’t get me going on AI) can be used for nefarious purposes. Turning to B & A Security she finds help, support and Rylan. Cue the chemistry and tension between them. An intriguing read with a surprising twist but ends in found family, redemption, a beautiful proposal and love.

I am loving the series. Another fantastic story. Charlie is a lawyer and went to work to find everyone staring at her and making hurtful comments. A coworker shows her a video of porn with her face and someone else's body. She is fired from her job and is unable to find another job, plus men are accosting her on the street. Her friend Erin tells her about Blade and Arrow Security and informs her that they can help. Leo and Rylan show up. Can they find who is behind the videos and why? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Charlie meets Rylan when her world implodes and he's her bodyguard. Someone has pornographic videos and photos of her face online with another body, using AI. She's lost her job and can't get another one, she's had a couple of interviews but when she started work it wasn't what she expected. Now the team are investigating. Can they find the perpetrators? Who hates Charlie so much?
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Charlie is a lawyer in a strict legal firm when nude photos of her in pornographic videos start appearing in company emails and across the internet. These are all fake but she loses her job anyway. She calls her family for help but they chastised her as usual and refuse to help in any way. The only one to believe her is her friend from out of town and she gets her help from Blade and Arrow Security. It’s been weeks and nothing closer to solving this. Things are escalating.
Another great suspense romance from Gia Cobie! This story was so unique and true to what fears people have of AI being used more and more. I was so heartbroken for Charlie when her family didn't believe her. I really liked how the romance built between Charlie and Rylan and read this book in one day. Can't wait for the next in the series. I received an ARC copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
When Charlie is accused of doing something on line, she seeks help from Rylan.
These two really were great together. Their chemistry and ultimate connection really worked well. Rylan was by her side and had belief in her innocence from the start and that showed.
Well written, sweet fmc and manly smart mmc plus a plot that worked so well. This makes to a highly recommended book and had been a great series so far.
It just gets better with every book. Ryland & Charlie tugged my heart & didn't let go. I felt every fear & pain as I read. Felt every twist & turns. The beauty
of the budding romance & the amazing bonds within the team. You will devour every page. As always Gia has done a excellent job! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Charlie is an attorney who recently got fired. Rylan is the sniper for Blade and Arrow. The story starts off with a devastating event and continues with danger, betrayal and assault. Rylan and Charlie are amazing together and I really enjoyed this book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A true love story in this book, even with the events that brought them together, he was always attentive towards her and her safety and well being. The way her family was treating her was abhorrent. Luckily the B&A family were behind her a hundred percent. Kidnapping, danger and suspense. The ones behind it all, not a surprise towards the end. HEA.
