Mia Kent seems to be a very predictable author and she uses the same adjectives over and over again. I’m tired of hearing the word cerulean. The cerulean sky, the cerulean sea in every book over and over again. Let’s not forget the dusky purple sunsets or white sand beaches.

There seems to be a lot of backstory just before the story starts getting good as a way of anticipating what’s next which is quite annoying because it’s just filler, nothing we need to know. Then the story seems to fly by so quick that you really would’ve liked to know what happened in the in between time.

Seems very rushed not well thought out.

I give The Tides at Crystal Bay 3 out of 5 cries!
