The grip of death tightens around the USA as an International drug cartel poisons its way into small towns and big cities across the country. From out of the shadows comes an underground organization seeking justice, a force to stop the slow rot of innocent lives. Michael Falau is a man of many talents, skills honed in black ops but with deep wounds from his past. After Michael's self exclusion from modern society an old friend reaches out asking Michael to join them to deliver justice.
Michael faces his greatest challenge - to take down the leader of the cartel The Butcher, alive or die trying.
Readers of Child, Ryan, Dawson and Slater will love this action thriller series.
Very shallow plot. The author didn't provide a good background on the main character. The storyline was unrealistic even for fiction. But the main detractor was the editing; or I should say, "lack of it." A basic "spelling and grammar" check was clearly not done. Getting through this book was a challenge. I'll be moving on to a different author.
Falau, a down on his luck ordinary gangster, is resurrected by Tyler, known as The Fixer. The journey that Falau makes will surprise you. His rediscovered skills make a perfect paring with The Judges of Vigilante Justice to deliver final justice to those that slip through the public justice system.
This could have been a great thriller if it was written a little darker. This book was advertised as “if you like the Reacher series read this”. Wrong. The book was ok but nothing like Reacher. The hero is a drunk which is a personal irritant for me. I’m ambivalent about reading any further.
Good Thriller overall that begins with a special forces member having flashbacks to previous episodes and contemplating ending his life being contacted by a past comrade and offer work. Work that involved taking out criminals that were above the law and fixing injustices.
This book is grusomely disgustingly brilliant . There are 3 parts that I found eye watering tearful however they are vital to the story. You can get/gather the feeling at just how bad and disgusting the butcher actually is. So his punishment is justified .
Story line was good and the xharacter was relatable. Had a hard time concentrating due to all the typos and misspelled words. Butcher changed to Bucher then back.
Hopefully they fixed tge problem in the second book.
A good book about a guy fixing to kill his self when an old friend comes in and saves him and gives him a job this is the kind of book I like! Thanks Jack Walker!
An enjoyable read. Started a little slow, but that was to be expected, giving the back story. Enjoyable storytelling with full characters can't wait to read the next book.
Author needs a proofreader. Misuse of many common words. Break for brake, site for sight, syntax lacking. Has the basics but needs to finesse the work..
I had not read anything by Jack Walker and decided to give this a shot. Very glad i did, his writing style is fantastic, easy flowing, to the point, and keeps you wanting more. The characters are very well explained and consistent throughout the book. Ive already started the 2nd one :)
