The final instalment in the Bloodlines series is finally here! She has the blood of a goddess in her veins, and some are willing to kill her for it.Laelia has finally learnt the truth of her heritage, but instead of feeling relieved, she only has more questions. Not to mention the deadly challenges the Queen of the Witches is putting her through. The tide is turning at the Haven and Laelia is gaining more and more support. She is the key to bringing the werewolves and the witches together. Of course, this will take away power from the current ruler, and the Queen is determined not to let this happen.Prophesies, attempts on her life, and tasks that look like child’s play; Laelia has to face it all, but with the power of a goddess, this half-breed could rule over both the witches and the werewolves. However, that much power at her disposal is addictive, and Laelia is about to learn that her own worst enemy could actually be herself.
Erin O'Kane is an independent author from the UK. She used to work within healthcare, but now is able to follow her dream as a full time author. Writing is her escape and a dream she never thought possible until she was given a push from her friends and family.

3.75 stars - this is a difficult book to rate. In some ways it's very good and other ways it's disappointing. Sadly, Syn is no longer one of my favorite mates due to something that he did in this book. Ultimately he was trying to protect Laelia but the way he went about it was wrong. Overall, it was a good book, but I found the ending disappointing.
I'm so sad to see the end of the story for Laelia and her guys, but what an epic ending she had and such an amazing journey that we got to go on. We know at this point that Laelia is either going to help bring the witches and werewolves together or potentially destroy them both, not just that but she's also gifted by a goddess which makes her a total bad@$$.
There are so many twists and turns in this story, with one in particular I didn't see coming, until wham, bam and it happened. The finale was everything I could have hoped for and more even if I wanted to throw something at a certain someone, who I will not name but if you read the series you will find out.
So this is a farewell to Laelia, Star, Syn, Scott, Atlas, Joel and Nicolai. If the author ever decides to write a little something for Luna and Kano I would be totally here for it.
Wow, I enjoyed this one so much! Aaaah, the plot twists are so good!
And Scott my maaaaaaaan!! But Syn, my dangerous Syn....
It al came together so good in the end, I was worried that it wouldn't be this epic ending but it really was awesome! The realisations are on point. The smut is always on point also. Love the switcharo in some of the scenes. Group smut can be a bit, boring if it's the same al the time. I get there's a group dynamic but hey, why not do something different sometimes. Otherwise it gets predictable.
I received and ARC, my opinions and thoughts are my own in this review.
Daamn this booook! It had me on a chokehold! I absolutely loved this series, the twists and turns, you could never tell what was going to happen next! I completely adored how it all came together by the end of the book! I loved it! I felt the writing of the book was completely on point, and felt like Erin did an amazing job making everything come together in the end in such a great, beautiful and memorable way! I loved how she found all her mates, how she learned to embrace her powers and herself, how protective she was of her newfound family and friends, it was everything basically! 10000% recommend it!
Laelia is key to ending the war between the werewolves and witches. She’s part goddess. She starts her new challenge set by the queen with her mates. Nicolai starts to learn how to use his magic Everything starts from the beginning again. Betrayal and being hurt by people you love. Laelia deals with all emotions in this book. Lots of twists and turns in this book. You guys are in for a treat with this final book ❤️ OMG Syn 🥵
This book grabbed me and kept me reading until the very last page was read. There was no putting it down until then. It moves along at a pace that makes for an enjoyable read and which is perfect for the flow of the story. The characters are amazing and no matter what happens you cannot help but fall in love with them. This book is a must read that needs to be at the top of your TBR list, no doubt about it.
So I have pretty much devoured this entire series over the past month and I couldn’t be happier with an ending! This particular book though had SO many twists and turns and kept my on my toes, it had me smiling, frowning and sat there with my mouth wide open at times 😂
I am going to miss these characters (syn and atlas especially) the entire series is just perfection!
I've read a lot of stories this year but I was so invested in this one I didn't want to finish the book so I read a page at a time for 2 days lol but I had to find out what happened at the end so I just finished the book and totally sad it's over but wow what a wonderful series had me so excited for the wins and sad for the losses but it's so good read it you won't regret it
Midnight Ascension, the fifth and final book of the Bloodlines series completes the story of Laelia and her mates. Anyone who's seen my reviews knows that I normally I would write a more descriptive review, but this series is so good that you really need to read it for yourself. Erin O’Kane’s books are really well done, and they have the ability to take you into a world of their own. I would highly recommend any of her books to anyone that enjoys fantasy, and especially paranormal.
Midnight Ascension is the final book in this series and it was everything I could hope for out of a finale. Lealia’s storyline was tied up with a pretty little bow, with her growing into her power and connecting completely with each of her mates. The steam was on point and the writing was engaging. It was fast paced and jam packed with even more twists, I just couldn't put it down!
This entire book kept me on my toes until the very end! Laelia finally gets her happy ending, with all of her mates, after a very long, hard fight with both the wolves and witches. She is mentally strong and fierce and I loved how she protected her family. Her mates cherish her, and they got the best happy ending!
The plot twists and turns, the feels, the steam, it’s all good cause for the book hangover.
Erin O’Kane creates really well written characters with depth and their stories are amazing. The world building just keeps me, as a reader, fully submerged with each page I turn.
This story has a fast pace that just sucks you in right from the beginning. The character growth and storyline were very enjoyable-making you forget you were even reading! I've been reading Erin's stories for a few years, and they just don't disappoint-this one included! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a spicy RH series with an epic adventure. 🙌❤️
This was a powerful ending to an amazing and wonderful and series. Laelia learns a lot of truths but still has a lot of questions. With a lot fights and enemies still in play Laelia has to learn the truth of things and figure out how to use her power. I truly enjoyed this book and absolutely loved this series. I am really looking forward to seeing what this wonderful author will bring to us next.
This was an excellent ending to a fabulous series. Everything and everyone all tied up in a little bow! I love it when it all comes together. If you haven’t started it yet, what are you waiting for?? I’m sorry to have it end but I’m excited to see what Erin puts out next.
What a thrilling ending to an epic series. I've loved every minute of Laelia's journey and that of her mates. All our questions get answered in this book and it's so satisfying to see the Queen get what she deserves. Brilliant series.
An epic ending to the series! For a while there I was ready to throw my kindle but of course Erin O'Kane had to make the characters redeemable. I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!
I guess I thought it would end differently - still a great book but what happened to Kano and Luna and Ivar? Great writing and I look forward to reading more from Erin!
I absolutley loved this series, full of exciting and intresting characters, an FMC you can't help but root for, smexy guys willing to burn the world for her, villians an evil to fight and a HEA.
This series is a rollercoaster of emotions, with plenty of action, adventure, mystery and drama, all sprinkled in with heart, humour, love and steam.
