I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.

I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.

Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.

In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.

book 3 was even more thrilling than 1 and 2 but that's what I expected as a series continues to grow and Magic Unleashed did not disappoint.
The White Haven Witches have become a force to be reckoned with and they are making friends at every turn...
This eclectic group of people has come together through long term family connections and their connections to White Haven, I am loving how they are all coming together, boosting their magic and feeling like more than a coven. Alex and Aver, Rueben and El, Briar and Newton, well maybe Newton lol if he ever pulls his head out of his a.. as a group they are fantastic as pairs I love the pairs they are making each compliment the other and then we have new friends, the ghost hunters are enthusiastic...lol new witch friends and the Nephilim White Haven witches are expanding, growing and I just love it.

Great series

Witches, mermaids, potions, grimoires, herbs, amulets, tattoos & spells what more could you ask for? Paranormal series with great characters you can get behind. It’s been an enjoyable few nights where I’ve barely slept needing to know what happens! Start at the beginning and follow Avery, Alex, Briar, El, Gil, Reuben and Newton as they come into new powers and battle to learn in order to save white Haven a small Cornish town in the south of England.

This story was ok. I think there were a lot of opportunities that were missed to really build the epic battle climax and it just didn't get there.

This is book three in the White Haven Witches series and I wish I had managed to read the first two books first, as I really enjoyed this one! You don’t have to have read the previous books as the author fills you in with the backstory. The huge unleashing of magic around the local area of White Haven, Cornwall, has caused a lot of strange occurrences to happen. The search of Avery and her fellow witches, for their family grimoires and the battle that happened under the Old Souls Church, has led to something escaping from the spirit world. What that was, they aren’t sure. What they did, released the binding spell keeping dangerous souls imprisoned and their action unleashed huge magic to the area.

With the large wave of magic that was released, powerful supernatural creatures were attracted to the magic unleashed. Some were the daughters of Llyr, what we would call mermaids, and they need human men to take as husbands, to produce the next generation of mermaids and mermen. There are also the creatures that came through from the underworld, through the opening beneath the church! Avery, Alex and their friends have to also contend with the Witches Council of Cornwall. Not something they had ever been a part of, but maybe something they should have been invited to. If they had, maybe they wouldn’t have done what they did. Nor did they know what the ramifications of their actions would have been.

After the magic had been unleashed, the Witches Council invited Avery and her fellow witches to become the thirteenth coven in Cornwall. Some of the Witches Council members hate them for their actions and their family history. The Faversham family and their friends, cannot forget their defeat and the death of the head of their family, a man many saw as a bully who controlled all of the covens. A few welcome Avery and she manages to make a few friendly connections from other local covens.

There is plenty of action in this book, with the addition of the presence of a ghost hunting group of students, and the witches of White Haven that find friends amongst some other witches and use the help of the humans who know about their secret life. They have a fight on their hands. First with the beings that entered through the church when they broke the binding spell. Then with a fight against the mermaids who are taking young fishermen from the local area.

They have run-ins with both of these groups and find that the Witches Council is not exactly wanting to assist them. It was them that caused the problem and they say it’s up to them to sort it out. Alex finds he can link to the beings that escaped the church and manages to get them to stop their violence and even to come and help them. The mermaids however, are very aggressive and are not going to stop doing what they must. A big showdown on the beach is a visual highlight of the book.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The main characters are varied and interesting. You have ghost hunters working with a group of witches and finding out a lot more than they maybe thought they would. A new coven of young witches, who are just coming into their powers, and learning what they can do. What they will be able to do with their powers, with all the magic hanging over White Haven, will be fun to see in any future books. I look forward to reading any future books and also the first few to catch up on. I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and I have freely given my own opinion above.

This is book 3 in the White Haven Witches Series.

The Grimoires have been found, the witches have formed a coven, and the battle against the All Souls Church has been fought and won. So, what else could go wrong? The answer to that question is easy... a lot could go wrong especially since at least one other world creature followed Avery and the gang back to their town!!! When you add to that the fact that the other 13 covens in and around Cornwall are not all happy and welcoming to the newest coven in the area, the stage is set for more fights and some diplomacy. Finally, Avery and the members of her Coven discover that their males are being led astray by mysterious creatures that are seducing and killing them!

I really liked this book even though I did have to laugh sometimes at the way various characters tried to be brave and bold. It's almost as though the members of the coven involved in the battles in the previous book, went all Conan and Xena as regards their fighting fierceness. (Someday I have to buy the audiobook and see if they really do sound as silly as I perceive them). :)

By this book in the series, the writer knows exactly where she's going with most (if not all) of the characters. Their personalities are set and while they can be unpredictable at times, for the most part, they have a true personality complete with idiosyncrasies. The writing is crisp and it's easy to imagine the scenes in your head because of the words and language used. The romance between Avery and Alex is moving along slowly but not too slow as to cause boredom. While the author did not "hit the ground running" with the first book she was gaining her stride in the second book and has reached her best speed with this book. (IMO). Let's hope she can sustain the pace. :) (And since there are like 12 books in the series, I will hazard a bet that she does!)

Our White Haven group of witches have released a massive burst of magical energy when they broke the binding on their powers, never thinking about the dire consequences which would follow this act. Now they had to find a way to solve the problem they had unleashed, over not only White Haven but many of the surrounding areas. When people start being killed they realise they are out of their depth and the Council of Witches refuses to help. They are forced to face both the creatures from the sea, known as the children of Llyr, and other ancient spirits known as the Nephilim who in turn are enemies of one another. The Earth itself was unsettled; it trembled, was it trembling from fear or because power was stirring? They needed to bring things back to normal before more citizens were killed and families left to mourn. This is a brilliant fast paced novel, full of magical action and fantastic yet horrifying creatures, which were out to meet their own agendas. Though the witches council would not help, our White Haven coven still found help even from unexpected sources, and together they brought back peace to White Haven but doubted this would last. I love this series so much it is full of magical lore and is becoming ever more dark and exciting with each book we read, this the 3rd book in the series is the darkest yet and the most thrilling!

Magic Unleashed is the third book in the White Haven Witches series.
I loved this continuation of the story of the White Haven witches coven.
The characters are dealing with their decisions from the previous book and coming to terms with those consequences.
This one had some surprises that I really did not see coming.
Really love the characters and their development throughout.
Have loved the whole story line and such fun to read.
Highly recommend reading.

I received a free ARC from the lovely author and this is my honest voluntary review.

Another fantastically addicting read filled with mysteries, danger, and new alliances. White Haven is a paranormal hotspot now that the Witches have regained their grimoires and their of magic destroying the seal, trapped spirits have broken free and men are mysteriously disappearing with no fowl play. The storyline and plot was epic, I love the folklore, the action and adventures have amazing seamless flow. Would of adored to have more character perspectives, but the growing cast is still appreciative.
Avery is working double, keeping her bookstore Happenstance open during their busiest days and learning her grimoire while uncovering numerous possible nefarious schemes around White Haven, she is just as resilient, and a powerful leader among her peers; gathering plans and executing them flawlessly.
The romances floating around the White Haven Coven is always sweet and innocent with bonds being forged more firmly and others still going through growing pains, but learning and growing in maturity.
The supporting characters are all so unique and enthralling, their contributions needed within the group to succeed, would love and appreciate a more personal intimate version, to know more of their inner thoughts and feelings and not so solely focused and dependent on the main heroine female lead.

Book 3 was very exciting. The entities that escaped have taken up living in churches and there have been deaths. One night they go to Faversham’s village to run out the entity and of course Caspian and his fellow villagers start shooting energy at it and end up giving it enough strength to escape through an upper window. When the other villagers churches are checked the entities there have also escaped through windows. Then 7 cows are found dead in the same manner as the humans in the churches on the nearby moor. Then there are reports of mermaids in other coastal villages and a spell is found to help identify them. The girls go to a pub and do the spell and it is filled with mermaids, all sitting with men who are clearly infatuated if not in thrall to the mermaids. Even Dan, Avery’s shop assistant is in thrall to one. The mermaids are pissed they have been outed by the witches and challenged the witches to a duel of sorts on Lugasanah. With the aid of a witch from another seaside village and a young man who turns out to be an escaped merman and the aid of the 7 spirits whom Alex has somehow befriended the mermaids are defeated and the men all saved. The giant wave that the mermaids summoned to destroy the beach and town Is also deflated before it could be damaging. A great read.

Avery and the other witches of White Haven are back in book three of the saga. They thought that restoring their magic and banishing evil was the end of their troubles. But while they were banishing evil, they had to open a portal and while they were busy things escaped. This is where book three begins and what they face is beyond their experience and challenges them to go beyond their comfort level.

This is an amazingly well executed book. The author expertly weaves a tale of magic, mysteries and danger. It incorporates well defined and interesting characters, surprises, obstacles, twists, turns and unforeseen allies all wrapped up in a rollercoaster of magic, suspense, mystery and action, that cumulates into a dramatic well executed climatic scene. This is a complex book with numerous themes and plot twists. It is a wonderful adventure and for anyone who loves reading about the paranormal or just loves action, this is a must read.

ONE SENSATIONAL INSTALLMENT!!!
Shock and Awe baby! Talk about fast track in the slow lane. Diving head first into situations without hesitation and finding your hanging on by a thread. A upheaval of mishaps and surprising events propels a full range of stormy emotions swirling, thrusting it into play front and center. Struggling through all the twists and conflicts, along with a few bumps and bruises catapult this bad boy to life beautifully. All the drama, uncertainty, angst and suspense increase steadily while tension spirals. The characters are authentic, believable and so realistic with depth and individuality that blasts this little jewel together flawlessly. The scenes are so vividly described it paints one amazing backdrop. Exceptional job Green, thanks for sharing this baby with us.

This is a great follow up to the White Haven Witches. Dealing with the aftermath of releasing such incredible magic bound for centuries, the coven needs to learn spells of old, deal with politics within the council and new threats that rose from such a power surge. Old lores, pagan and biblical alike put a damper on the excitement of finally feeling like they belong, and included in the witches circle, with acess to new information and the history of magic and their powers. New friends are made, and unlikely allies band together to defeat a prideful especies. With new characters and so much more to discover, the White Haven Witches still have a lot to learn about the intricacies of the human and magical world.

Now that their magic has been unleashed a cloud of it hangs over White Haven and it’s attracting all kind of supernatural creatures! Avery also remembers something else escaping the “other” realm. Turns out they are nephiluim and they want to walk among men again! The town is also infected with mermaids looking for human men to take back to the sea! The friends are all becoming more comfortable with their “extra” power boost. Despite the councils unwillingness to help they find some powerful allies to rely on. This was a great conclusion to the story. I liked the pace of each book! It wouldn’t so the story justice if it was all crammed into one or even two book! There is no stop action, plenty of drama and just enough romance! I totally enjoyed this book and this series! I look forward to reading more from this author!

The third in the series follows the first two

This is the third and the Furies and it closely follows the development of the characters from the first two books there's a lot about the character that I like and a lot about the characters I dislike the author is British and sometimes play mix both the British and the American terms for things together which can be confusing sometimes they overemphasize certain things that in my opinion diss tracks for the story the characters themselves have different characteristics that I dislike personally she makes all the main characters down like they're over age hippies their dress and their hairstyles and Tattoos Etc or not what I would call Mainstream but the stories themselves are fairly decent so much so that I am considering buying the fourth in the series.

Great reading

The balance within the books is good. Just enough witchcraft to keep the stories fascinating. Just enough romance to keep the stories moving. And the friendships are becoming deeper. I think Briar and Newton aren't ready for a relationship. The characters just don't have the build up yet. Avery and Alex always seem to be new within their relationship. I figure the characters will deepen. I like El and Rueban. Now with the new 7 fallen angels in town I'm hoping for them to be included more often. Ah, perhaps Briar could team up with one of them. I figure the further into the series the characters will blossom even more. I have spent many a midnight oil reading these books. Enjoy.

The Whitehaven Witches have released a lot of their power in to the stratosphere which have brought out strange and deadly creatures including dangerous mermaids and you have a monster party on your hands, there are deaths deaths and more deaths there are plenty of evil spirits as well. This is a fast paced story with plenty of magical action, dangerous creatures, suspense, drama and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages, this is book 3 to the Whitehaven Witches and this is the darkest one of the series so far and I absolutely loved it it’s a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Avery, Alex and other White Haven coven has some problems that they had to deal with on their own. The snagley mermaids thought they had the upper hand in what they were doing. There was a huge storm the coven with the help of others were able to get the problem under control.

This is without a doubt another hit from the author. I didn't want to go into to much detail as I would give the story away. This book has so many good moments, you never knew what was going to happen. I honestly recommend reading this book, you will enjoy it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Be careful what you wish for witches

Magic has consequences and the Whitd Haven witches are finding out first hand what those consequences are. Magical supernatural creatures are stirring and now their coastal home is a beacon fir the Magical and monsters who wish to savour the power that has been released. Avery got more than she bargained for by starting the quest and now mermaids and nephilim wander the earth once more. As more supernatural creatures come out of the woodwork, the witches have to save and defend their town. Whether you will all survive remains to seen as yet another mystery unfolds.

Book three. After book one I wasn't sure i was going to continue but I am glad I did! I think the writing got much tighter over the three books, the cast of characters were so fun. Book three ends neatly so I dont feel like I HAVE to continue, as I did with book 1 and 2, but I think I probably will after a break.

Overall I enjoyed the mermaid plot arc of this book, and I liked getting to know more of the witches in the world. These books are fun, short and quick to read. I wish Alex and Avery's romance was more prominent, but thats a me problem lol. I recommend the books up to this point!

What an epic instalment of the White Haven witches.

It seems that White Haven is in for a non stop ride of magic & paranormal beings with everything from nephilims to mermaids are now in this small little town.

With the witches discovering hidden powers, making new alliances and discovering who their real friends are this book has a little of all.

I simply loved the ending of the book. The battle between the witches with the help of Nephilims against the mermaids was awesome.

Hope there's more to come.

The White Haven witches continue their saga in book 3. They have their hands full dealing with the aftermath of the biggest decisions made from book 2. I don't like giving anything away but I can tell you this, it's very true, reading a book is much more exciting than watching the same on the telly. This author does an amazing job at putting you right there so you envision it all as you read. It's not gory, it just gets your blood pumping and every chance you get you're grabbing your book to see what's going to happen next. Well written and a fantastic story line!

Didn't disappoint

So after the first 2 books, I was wondering whether Green would introduce other types of creatures other than witches, for example, vampires, werewolves etc, and this book did not disappoint.
With larger than life spirits having been released after the "power surge" and strange lights appearing in the sea, men are being murdered left right and centre in White Haven.
Avery & Co try and bring in the Council but they're not interested, and so it's down to the usual suspects to clean up the mess they inadvertently started.
Really enjoying thus series

Life has become very complicated for the White Haven Witches.
A very complex book. The witches find out there is a Witches Council with witches all over Cornwell. The witches also start to see what was released when they broke their binding spell. They have to up their powers to protect White Haven and Cornwell, while trying to live their lives. Very interesting fast paced story. Looking forward to the next book.

In book three we meet new foes, new friends and new witches of course. Be prepared to be blown away with the clever suspense, well executed new villains or should we say friends? This book is a mash up of Supernatural meets Sabrina with loads of action. Couldn't put this book down, had to finish it - who needs to sleep? A must read for lovers of the supernatural, suspense and action. Hope to see the new 'friends' again in a spin-off.

I've been anxiously waiting for this!!! Another excellent installment in the of the White Haven Witches series, full of magic, paranormal creatures, superb characters and an excellent storyline. Although it can be read as a standalone, as the author provides all the necessary info so that new readers don't feel lost, I'd highly recommend the whole series. You don't want to miss it!!!

The third book in this series is as intriguing as the first two. The witches have to face the consequences of the magic that they have unleashed.

The witches of White Haven pull all their resources to fight the evil threats. Their friendship is solid. There is a twist where the enemies become allies. They have new friends giving much needed assistance where required. It's a good plot where magic abounds and romances thrive.

Enjoyed this one even more as characters were developed more, new alliances and friendships formed and new species were introduced. It became an intriguing tale with unexpected twists and turns while various creatures form bonds to save the innocent. I’m still not sure how this story continues through 12 books. I’m sure White Haven will have all sorts of new guests with varying abilities for good or evil.
