Chakras & Shadow Work provides many techniques for achieving greater self-awareness and uncovering hidden aspects of yourself. Throughout these pages, you'll use journal prompts, affirmations, visualizations, and yoga sequences to access each chakra's unique energy. This book also features chakra-specific correspondences, including colors, elements, gemstones, oils and herbs, foods, physical and emotional connections, psychic abilities, and more.
Stefani empowers you to forge your personal healing path, guiding you toward manifesting the life of your dreams with newfound clarity and purpose.
Over the past few years, I've gone through a lot of spiritual experiences. While I had prior knowledge and experience with the chakras and shadow work, Stefani's book was able to make sense of a lot of the things that I experienced that I previously had no real explanation for.
More importantly, she puts things in a way that helps you to understand. The chakra system can be deceptively shallow on first glance, and can feel like the Mariana Trench once you even get a glimpse under the surface of the water and see all of the different ways you can interact with the touchpoints of your soul. Stefani puts things in a straightforward way, but also helps you to understand what it is that you might be experiencing as different parts of yourself awaken.
Here is the best way to read the book (from my experience):
1) Read up to the end of the Root Chakra Chapter, and then stop. Take it in, and measure where in your life you may have stress, anger, or trauma that prevents you from connecting and being present with your body and the world around you. Focus on this, and nothing else.
2) Then, when you feel like it's time, read the rest of the book. After this, take note of where you feel additional negative emotions, or feel like you have re-occuring thoughts, memories, feelings, or habits, associated with any one of the chakras. Lovingly seek to understand these, and work on healing these over time.
3) Finally, keep it on reference, so that if there's a specific chakra or area of your life you're working on, you can take what resonates with you in that chapter as inspiration on what to do next.
When applying the practices from this book (as with anything), it's also important to take what resonates with you. Not every person is the same, and every last thing in this book is not going to work EXACTLY right for you. Maybe an exercise being difficult is because of a different issue you need to address. Maybe you need to tweak it so that it helps the aspect of your shadow that you're working on, or can help you achieve the balance you need.
Regardless, always have patience, and show yourself love, curiosity, and understanding in this process. It's a long journey, taken one step each day.
Fantastically written book! You can tell that the author has studied extensively and put these techniques into practice and we are privileged to be able to share in her knowledge in such an accessible way. There is so much information on the individual chakras, so in depth that it is great for beginners and life long students of the Chakra System alike. It’s also a great reference for the oils, herbs, and crystals that work with each Chakra and yoga sequences, rituals, affirmations, and tea recipes to work your way through healing and change. I highly recommend this book to anyone along this journey
Every once in a while I come across a book that I know is too important to finish in a day. This was definitely one of those books. Rarely do I find a book that I truly want to own rather than loan, this was definitely one of those books. I know I will circle back to this book many times throughout the journey. Stefani, well done.
