This is my second reading through this book. What I took away from it this time was quite a bit different than the first time through. Having lived with microscopic colitis for almost 20 years now, I had better perspective and experience to know what Wayne was talking about. For those just starting on their journey with mc, I would advise reading the 2nd edition for updated information as a result of new research. I understand he has also written a book about diet which I am interested in.
If you have ever been told you have Lymphocytic or Collagenous or microscopic colitis as the cause of your GI Problems this is the book to read. It gives a detailed account of what it is and what MAY be the treatment both non-medical and medical.
great book for anyone with celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease of any sort of auto immune disease, or if you love someone who does. lots of good information on how to work toward remission.
This was the first book that I found on microscopic colitis that had clear advice and made sense to me. I will be keeping this as a reference book. I will also be sharing with my doctor.
