Cowboy Seeking A Wedding Date

Rate this book
Nora Levitt is at a crossroads.
After a messy breakup that left her with no home and no friends, the prospect of taking some time far away to regroup seemed appealing.
That was until she saw exactly what awaited her in Moss Creek, Montana.
Nothing. Nothing awaited her.
The place is just fields and pastures. And cowboys. Lots and lots of cowboys.
Which would be great if she was looking for a cowboy.
And she’s not.
Except the way one particular cowboy says yes, ma’am sends a shiver down her spine.
****
Brooks Pace wasn’t looking to be tied down.
But that was before a certain city girl showed up and made him think being tied to her wouldn’t be such a bad idea.
Only problem is, Nora and country life do not appear to go hand in hand. She’s only planning to be in town until her job is over, then the interior decorator intends to scoot her sweet ass back to the city.
Which means he’s got to make it clear there’s only one place she needs to be.
With him.

Brooks makes you swoon!!

So…..I fell in love with Brody, then Boone came along and sort of took a piece of that love….and now we have Brooks who’s gone and stole a whole friggin chunk of that love.

This was a fantastic read. Brooks makes you swoon, he’s just another level of man, but those girls I just love them, they are the ultimate girl gang, you mess with one you get the lot!

This is the kind of book that makes you smile at times, tut a few times for people being so dumb, laugh out loud at some of the witty one liners and then some fist bump moments when peeps get what they deserve, all the feels so what’s not to love.

Brooks knows what he wants, he’s so patient….but that could be his undoing.

Nora’s inadvertently planted herself in the hearts of the Pace family and friend, her jobs almost done and she’s got some big decisions to make.

The attraction is clear, one is trying to play it cool and hope the other will eventually realise where they should be, the other is fighting head and heart every step of the way.

When you have never known love it’s hard to see it, even when it slaps you in the face.

Janice just keeps on hitting them out of the park with each and every book.

This one, if you’ve read the previous, by the end will have you gasping with, what the….moments and leave you smiling and wanting more….so much more.

I can’t waiting for Cowboy Seeking Someone to Love. Brett and Camille have been building and it’s time.

But wow I neeeeeeed Liza and Bens story so much.

Nut up Buttercup and bring it on 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Review as seen on my blog (Jessie's Reading Corner):
One Way Ticket to Moss Creek, Montana Please!

Cowboy Seeking a Wedding Date is the third book in Janice Whiteaker’s Cowboy Classifieds series. While it is a standalone, I personally think it would be best to start from the beginning with Cowboy Seeking a Nanny because some of the relationships in this story come about because of the previous two books.

Janice Whiteaker continues to amaze me with her storytelling and world building. I love that I can count on her books to not only be angst-free and full of steam, but to also feature strong characters that build each other up instead of tear down and girl gangs that dish out justice to those that think they can intimidate those they love.

Cowboy Seeking a Wedding Date is Brooks and Nora’s story. Ever since Cowboy Seeking a Nanny, Brooks has always intrigued me because not much has been revealed about him and therefore, he has been a mystery. Nora is an interior designer that was hired by Maryann at the end of Cowboy Seeking a Second Chance to help the Pace family get their Inn ready for its grand opening. I absolutely loved Brooks and Nora! I was immediately swept up in their story and could not put the book down!

I do not want to give the story away but here are some of the things I really loved about Brooks and Nora’s story:
– I loved how Brooks & Nora looked out for each other (even when Nora was still convinced she was leaving and Brooks was confused on whether Nora was the woman for him or not); my favorite scene was when they’re in the grocery store and she buys him a full dinner knowing that he likes to eat while she only got things to graze on.
– the treehouse/Camille’s house
– their first kiss
– when Nora finally opened her eyes and realized that Brooks had been taking care of her all along.
– the sex scene (swoon! You will need a fire extinguisher!) I loved their desperation for each other and then when they knocked the coffee table over in the process lol
– I loved their day after and how it was not filled with awkwardness, just contentment.
– Nora standing up for herself and making Brooks declare his feelings
– the girl gang scene (if you’ve read Janice’s books before, you know there’s bound to be some girl gang action going on)
– the taco dinner scene

Brett’s story, Cowboy Seeking Someone to Love, comes out in August and I can’t wait for it because it’s going to be epic!

If you love steamy small-town romances with no angst and rugged cowboys who fall and love hard, make sure you check this series out! Then proceed to read any of her other series because they are equally amazing! (In addition to Janice Whiteaker, she also writes under Jemma Westbrook and Josie Watts)

I am loving these sweet cowboy romances.

I love rom-coms, romance novels, and love stories. So I read a lot of them. This is great fun for me, but it means that my personal "market" is oversaturated. It will take a truly great romance to get more than three stars. In case you are interested:

Relyn's personal rom-com & romance novel rating system
5 stars - This book is excellent. It stands out from the hundreds of other love stories I've read, and I loved it.
4 stars - Oh, I really, really liked this one.
3 stars - This was a good, entertaining book and I'm glad I read it.
2 stars - Meh - boring, or overdone, or in some other way just not a good fit for me
1 star - This one stunk.

Brooks can't get Nora out of his mind and wants to get to know her better but she's a prickly woman with no confidence in herself! Makes you wonder how on earth they're going to get together!
This book makes you laugh out loud, but also makes you want to cry for Nora. Once Brooks decides he wants Nora he sets out to help her understand he's there for her. He's very patient and understanding and alongside his family/friends they help Nora become the woman she is meant to be. Oh yes, there are lots of hiccups and misunderstandings too but once Nora finds her feet....just wow! (No spoilers from me!!) Their attraction is off the charts but will it be enough....? Will she make the right decision? Come on Buttercup......
Cowboy Seeking Someone to Love, is the follow on book and features Brett and Camille - if you've read the previous books in this series, you'll know that this relationship will grab you with it's intensity.

How Janice Whiteaker continues to top her last book is beyond me. She is an incredible author. This is the third Pace brother she has written and they are all so different yet still amazing. Brooks is swoon-worthy. He is now on my list of top book boyfriends.
Nora is wading through some pain from her past and really does not want a cowboy. Brooks, however, is patient. Go ahead and jump right into this book. While it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. I will say though you will want to read the other two Pace brothers stories.
I am so excited for Boone and also Liza's story and watch how the author continues to develop this series and the strong female relationships – they are so much fun!

FYI, Janice Whiteaker writes as Jemma Westbrook and Josie Watts (huge backlist of incredible books)

Nora is only in town to design the Inn on the ranch. Brooks has been looking for the one and Nora is it; he just has to convince her of it! Nora left a messy life behind in Seattle and needs to go back to clear her name and reputation. Brooks needs to talk her into stay to help him flip a house. I have read all the Cowboy Classifieds and really loved them all.

Yearning To Be Read

This book, Noras story is all at once hard to read and hard to put down. I can’t remember a character so needing a connection, a yearning to see if what she saw on TV could be true, family. I think you need to bring her parents in for their wedding so Maryann can find out why they were so neglectful of their only child... and it better be a good reason...right there, that response is how great this book is, I’m still mad at them and they should be Maryanned or Liza’d or Mae’d!!

It's time to "nut up" and read the new cowboy romance of the year (so far...Brett's story is still coming!) Nora is so strong and independent and lonely and she doesn't want to want a sexy cowboy! But sometimes we can't help what we want and when Brooks starts working his way into her life, she finds him hard to resist!!! I absolutely loved their story!!!!

I loved the way Brooks had the patience to wait out Nora’s scared of life tendency. He wanted to love her but she had been too badly hurt by her previous boyfriend.

Yet another great book! I’ve absolutely been loving this series and these books just get better and better!

Brooks is someone I was definitely excited to get to know more of, he was the quietest Pace boy and the most mysterious. But let me tell ya, once you get to know him he’ll capture you’re heart in no time!

Brooks is such a romantic guy, all his life he’s grown up looking at his parents love story as inspiration to his own, and he’s willing to be patient for the one whose meant for him. He knows he wants to be married with kids but he also wants his wife to be his best friend and confidant, so all his life he’s been known as the picky brother because he doesn’t just date around. If he dates, it’s with the intention of marriage, which is probably why he hasn’t really dated too much.

So in walks Nora the interior designer. Nora was introduced in Mae and Boones’ book as the interior designer for the Inn, but now that that’s over there’s not really a reason for her to stay, much to everyone’s disappointment, especially Brooks’. So what does Brooks do? Well he buys a house and hires her to design and decorate it.

However things aren’t so smooth going, for one, Nora is a city girl who doesn’t match well with country life (or so she thinks) and for two, she’s got a lot going on back in Seattle with her ex, which also means she’s not entirely ready to jump ship and play house with a cowboy, so Brooks has a lot of convincing to do.

Honestly their relationship is so cute because Brooks is so patient with her and understands what she needs, for the most part anyway. Also they definitely develop a cute friendship before anything and then to see that grow and develop is even cuter!

We did get some previous character updates! So Brody and Clara do get married in this book and we learn that they are having twin girls! We also learn that Mae and Boones secretly got married! Also Brody and Clara’s house is almost completely finished and Mae and Boones’ is in the works.

Brett is the last Pace boy so his book is next and I’m definitely excited for it! And I can’t wait to see what new updates we get!

Nora is all about change and new beginnings but Moss Creek is not for her. Nope not even the handsome Brooks can keep her there. Her life was ripped to shreds by her ex and his mother and being alone is what she is used too. Its what she knows.

Brooks knows exactly what he wants and it's Nora. He knows she has secrets but that won't deter him. He will make her his.

Nora hates crowds and the Pace family is way to much for her. Little by little they are chipping away at the wall she has erected. Will that wall finally come tumbling down or will she cement it in even further?

Great story with beautiful characters. Well written with just the right amount of drama, sass, heartbreak, love and more. Cannot wait too read about the last two brothers in this family...

— Women don’t just give you a place in their life. You’ve gotta tell ’em you want it, and then you’ve gotta prove you deserve it.

Nora accepted the job at The Inn to run away from the problems in their life. But could she make Moss Creek a home to her?
Brooks Pace just want what his parents have: a woman to love. Can Nora be his soulmate?

This was another delicious reading in this series. I’m a goner for a cowboy, and the Pace Family is adoringly. ✨

What I love the most in Brooks is his compromise with the things Nora wants. Finally someone cares for her for real. Brooks is thoughtful, patient, a gentleman, a real special guy. But he can show his “impolite” demeanor in the best ways 🥵
Nora is so alone that it made my heart ache. I was hoping for her happiness from the start. Her life was so devoid of care and love, it’s sad. She doesn’t even know how to receive simple things as help, compliments and friendship.
The talk between Nora and Maryann was one of my top moments in this series so far. ❤️ This book was full of reflective moments for me. And I loved to see all this womanhood together defending themselves. 💪🏻

But I need to say: the title doesn’t matches the story at all 😂

(P.S.: I cackled loud with Boone giving relationship advice kkkkkkkkkk and he was actually right! 🤣)

Plot is fine for a summer read. Characters are relateable and the dialogue is acceptable. My problem with this book is that I'm from Montana and the author clearly knows nothing about Montana. When you write, you should write what you know or do a lot of research. This author didn't. Montana does not have fireflies, trees big enough for a treehouses which could contain a couch, or cowboys silly enough for such nonsense. We drink coffee, never Southern sweet tea and we are fiercely equalitarian. We don't kiss ass, lick boots or M'am or sir any civilian. There is no Midwest invasive honeysuckle and ranch houses are built out of the wind with trees for shade. And we ARE never bored. Boring, maybe. Bored, hell no. Thete's too much work on a ranch to be bored and there is too much fishing, hiking, camping, rafting, kayaking, skiing, and hunting waiting to ever be bored. And we are very proud people who are brutally honest and hospitable. Come out to Montana Janice. I will show you around. In the meantime, write about what you know darlin' and stop watching Yellowstone. That's a bunch of nonsense too.

Love this whole series!

Fun, Heartwarming, and Hard to Put Down!

I absolutely loved this series! Cowboys Seeking a Wedding Date is such a charming mix of sweet romance, small-town charm, and just enough drama to keep the pages turning. The characters felt so real—like people you’d want as friends or neighbors—and the chemistry between them had me smiling the whole way through.

The storyline balances humor, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of cowboy grit. I found myself rooting for the couples, laughing at the playful banter, and even tearing up a little at the more emotional parts. It’s the kind of series that makes you want to grab a blanket, curl up, and binge-read from start to finish.

If you enjoy wholesome romance with strong family values, loyal friendships, and a good dose of cowboy charm, this series is definitely for you. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Cowboy Seeking Wedding Date

Only Brooks was seeking much more from Nora than just a wedding date. Nora was hired an the Interior Decorator for the Inn being built on the Pace ranch. Nora is happy with the job but running from her life in Seattle. Nora has always been pretty much on her own since she was a child and has a huge need to prove herself. Brooks took a shining to Nora, but started to think he made a mistake. They finally had a break thru of sorts and his opinion was changing, however Nora was determined to leave Moss Creek to return to Seattle to prove herself.
The trials that Nora has to go through to only prove herself to herself are many but with Brooks being her champion in all things, Nora might actually turn a corner and stay in Moss Creek where she loved and wanted.

The more I read this series the more I love It!

I love this series. However, the more I read this series, the more I think I am enamoured with the women in these books than the men. Janice Whiteaker has a talent for creating female characters who having survived some serious storms in life, come out the other side, stronger and better than before. The men, while yummy continue to stumble a long as they always have. Case in point is that whenever there is trouble the Pace brothers band together and ride off to kick b***, only to find their women have things all ready put together! In the end the men figure out about what it means to have a true partnership. Janice Whiteaker's character development makes the women in her stories very relatable. It is this factor that keeps me coming back to this series time and time again!
Very Entertaining!

DIY book

Anybody can write a book, right? WRONG! This is what happens when a good idea goes bad.

It's not just a case of questionable grammar, although there's that. The thing reads like an awkward conversation, with lots of hemming and hawing. It's an uncomfortable experience for the reader.

Okay, I'm giving credit for completing and publishing the book. But the title? There's no advertising and no wedding, unless you count the one being planned by an inconsequential character, mentioned in passing. And if this were a real classified ad, it would read Cowboy Seeks Wedding Date, something we learned in high school journalism.

Janice, you need to find a good editor. Two stars.

I’m obsessed with this series.
Overall this series is small town, found family, strong women, cowboys, and all the love.
If you want one of those books where you just wish you could pack up and move to a town, this is one of those. You will love Moss Creek!
(I’m pretty sure my husband would fit right in…)

This specific book is an opposites attract romance. A city girl running from her problems and the cowboy who wants her to stay but will do everything but tell her that.

I do recommend starting from book one. They are meant to be standalones but I think it’s best to read these in order.

Also-Janice is the best for not only giving epilogues but bonus scenes too. It’s the best part! I love that she does this.

loved it

Brooks was done being a player, he wanted a wife, a family, a love like his parents. His mother’s interior designer intrigued him but she was a city girl who couldn’t wait to leave. Could he get her to open up and convince her this is where she belonged.

Nora came from parents that really didn’t want children and basically raised herself. She caught her boyfriend cheating with her “friend “ and lost her home, job and friends all of whom belonged to her ex’s family. She just wanted to prove them wrong by being successful. She couldn’t trust again, open herself again.

Loved this story of how Brooks and Nora fell for each other. A great read, on to the next book! Also love the continuation of the stories in the previous books interlaced.

I love that he calls her Buttercup!

There are four very handsome, rugged, cowboy Pace brothers of Moss Creek. Brooks is the picky one. He wants to find the woman he will love and spend the rest of his life with so he has been patient. Nora changed that. She is a city girl from Seattle his mother hired as her designer for the new inn. Nora recently lost everything, her job, her home, her boyfriend on the same day and has no intention of getting involved with anyone else and certainly not a small town cowboy. But plans have a way of changing and Brooks and Nora are great together. I loved their story, love that he calls her Buttercup, and love how he brought her out of her shell.

the third book .....Cowboy Classifieds series. While it is a standalone, I personally think it would be best to start from the beginning with Cowboy Seeking a Nanny ....because some of the relationships in this story come about because of the previous two books.... so definitely worth reading in order......book 3 is Brooks and Nora’s story...
Nora is an interior designer,.. hired by Maryann, matriarch of the Pace clan.....to help get their Inn ready for its grand opening. ...
hi-lights of the story...
Brooks decides to hire Nora so he shows her his dream .....
the treehouse/ bought Camille’s house...
when they share that first kiss ...
when Nora finally opens her eyes to realize what love really means ....
all of the books in this series have been amazing.
EVERY BOOK SO FAR is filled with big family love and support, not only for each other, but for friends and people who are in need, ..........this is a series you definitely need to read.

Yee Haw!

I am so glad I found JW and her amazing stories. As an avid reader and lover of romances, I am pleased and proud to have enjoyed the company of some fantastic gals and shared enthusiasm for this body of work. As expected, Brooks and Nora had a story to tell that had me alternately cheering and sobbing. Seeing Brooks help Nora recognize her own incredible strength was sigh worthy and wonderful. I'm going to miss Moss Creek when all the stories are told, but for now, I'm just gonna hang out there and enjoy the ride.

Interior designer Nora Levitt was determined to go back to Seattle as soon as she’s done with the job at Red Cedar. Not that she had anything to go back to, no job, no guy, no apartment and no reputation, five years of hard work with nothing to show for it. Brooks was the only Pace brother that wouldn’t date a woman that couldn’t see himself marrying. Nora does! Nora’s not making it easy for Brooks at all though he goes to extreme lengths to get her to change her train of thought. However, Nora made this reader tired.

Love this series but....

I get wanting to write drama and angst but when you're characters talk themselves in circles again and again, if feels like you're hitting copy and paste on chapters instead of forwarding the story. This book is 200 pages less than the previous 2 and feels that much longer. I got irritated before I hit page 100 by the half-ass repetitive BS the MFC kept circling.

Skipping around to after page 200 the book picks back up and you don't much feel like you've missed anything important.
