As all of Doreen Virtue’s books are portable collections of art, this one doesn’t disappoint. The ethereal feeling of the artwork enhances the teachings of working with angels.

Combine Doreen’s presentations of angels with Yasmin’s astrology knowledge and you have a wonderful book bringing the best of these two worlds together. They begin with a history of astrology and a brief description of what it entails. Then a chapter is devoted to each sign and its related information corresponding with the associated angel.

Whether the extent of your astrological knowledge is the Sunday paper horoscope, or a more in-depth study, this book is a delight. If you are not familiar with Doreen’s work, you’ll learn that it is not based in one particular faith. This book is universal for all walks of faith for those that do believe in angels and for those that believe in astrology. Add in the psychological factor of personality traits and this will become a guide for self-discovery. In addition to learning about yourself, you can learn about your loved ones which will bring a greater understanding of them.

If you love the study of angels and you love astrology, then you will love the combination of the two.

Summary: This is an easy read that is for those just learning the relationship between astrology and the archangels. It was perfect for where I'm at in my learning curve. It serves as a great reference.

Astrology actually bridges every religion that exists, but for a lot of the Western Religions, Christianity in particular, there was a separation that occurred sometime in the last couple of centuries. Before that there wasn't the same sort of disconnect. As a result, finding resources to really help you understand how to reconnect everything is a bit difficult. This has been an area of research for me for some time, so I was glad to find references while visiting the spiritual city of Sedona, AZ.

It's a great starting place for those that plan on practicing the craft and communicating to a broad audience that spans religious faiths.

My impression is there might be even more to the study of this than just these twelve. I'm starting out, though in learning both deeper knowledge about the Archangels and their personalities and powers, so it's fine for me. The book will talk in detail about what the most prominent houses (sun, rising, moon, mercury, venus, mars) mean as relates to how you can call upon these archangels for guidance for the double edge sword of all of these aspects in one's charts.

I picked this up due to my vague interest in astrology. I think it's okay- fairly accurate for myself but quite not so for many of my family&friends. Maybe this is because I don't always have accurate enough info to construct their natal charts. Overall, I found it an interesting, easy read.

This book is a utility gem that combines the language of astrology with that of archangels. I was attracted to this book for basically one reason: I am an apprentice of astrology and was curious of how both archetypal energies can work harmoniously together.
To be honest I am not an angel person, maybe because of some Christian heritage I am not comfortable with, however I found this book freshly non-denominational.
This book helped me link the twelve zodiac signs, which I was already familiar with, to the twelve archangels. To me this felt like a rosetta stone energy book that explained to me bit by bit how the music of the spheres can be related to the archangel modalities.
As you can imagine the book is divided in chapters that link a zodiac sign to an archangel. In each chapter both the zodiac sign and the archangel are explained in simple, easy going layman language, illustrating the reason why that pair was combined and how they elegantly work together.
The chapter is then further divided astrologically and archangel wise by Sun sign (our vital energy, our life purpose), the Ascendant (how we present ourselves to the world and see the world), Mercury (how we think, talk and communicate), Venus (what we love, cherish and give value to) and Mars (our passion, assertiveness and sexuality).
In each of these divisions by planets, the archangel concerned is further detailed and its modus operandi explored, each time blending in how we can call upon for his/her help to better use the gifts we have in our natal charts.
In between each chapter there is a general presentation of the archangel, what energy he/she represents, what activities are normally linked with this archangel and the situations that we can call upon for his/her assistance.
I was particularly mesmerised by the use of colours and designs especially by the oniric illustrations of each zodiac sign. Sadly equivalent archangel drawings were not present.

I am sure my astrology studies have been enriched with this book. I will from this day on, curiously link the sign and planets with the archangel concerned and I am certain that a healing journey with the angelic realms through the astrology filter has been initiated somewhere in my heart.

Angel a Astrology 101

This is a lovely book describing the character of the different signs of the zodiac according to their placements in an individuals' birth chart, as well as the planets within those signs, and by assigning an Archangel to each character placement gives a broader perspective to the whole.
Beautiful graphics combine to make this a very pleasant reading experience.
Not only will you learn about your Astrological sign, but you will find out which Archangels work best with your unique sign.

Some small knowledge of Astrology by the reader would be very handy but not necessary as the book is pretty easy to understand and explains it all very clearly.
However, to get the most advantage from this book you should at least know your Sun sign (Astrological sign), and if possible your Moon sign and Ascendant sign (ASC) otherwise known as your Rising sign.

The books tells you how you can readily get your own full Birth Chart made up at any of several online sites which offer this as a free service. Once you have this information you have lots to read about yourself, according to your planetary placements in your own birth chart.

Doreen Virtue, is a metaphysician and clairvoyant doctor of psychology who works with the angelic, elemental, and ascended-master realms, and who has written extensively on same. She works along with Yasmin Boland, acclaimed Astrology expert, to combine their knowledge for the making of this book.

A lot of fascinating and extensive research on the subject matter and the long history of Astrology precedes the main assessments of each sign, and is enlightening reading on its own.
The book is non denominational and doesn't prescribe any particular belief system, so suspend any preconceived ideas about these subjects and give it a try, you might be surprised.
This is a book anyone can return to again and again as a reference book.

The study of the stars in some form has been around since man first walked upon the Earth. Angel Astrology 101 Discover the Angels Connected with Your Birth Chart connects the study of astrology with the belief that we all have angels assigned to us according to our astrological birth signs. My angel is the archangel Jophiel. To bad I am not a Cancer, then my archangel would have been Gabriel who I know more about from the bible and religious studies.


With such beautiful artwork to accent the information your attention will not wonder, but rather have you perhaps stay closer attuned to what you are reading. Virtue and Boland provides studies on how our angels guide us in our lives and trying events along the way. Whether or not you believe in astrology or angels you will find Angel Astrology 101 Discover the Angels Connected with Your Birth Chart a fascinating book to read and study.

This is an absolutely beautiful book - it's essentially art. I'd barely flipped through a few pages before I gasped, knowing I would need a copy of this for my collection. The art pairs perfectly with the information, leaving an ethereal feeling with the reader.

Whether you know astrology or not, the book makes sense. You don't need to know any jargon to crack these covers. You don't even need to know your own chart as directions are given at where to obtain these freely online. Any beginner can open up the book and easily figure out which angels Doreen and Yasmin are recommending based on their own astrological information. One of the main things that I enjoyed was each section opening with advice on what you can call each angel for, regardless of your astrological chart, before growing specific to those who had Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Venus, and Mars information for that sign.

Those who are more advanced in astrology may find a few things repetitive, but there's still an abundance of information dealing with the associated angels, so I believe even advanced readers can gain a plethora of information.

I'd recommend this for anyone who is curious at working with angels, as well as learning a little more about their astrology. I wouldn't recommend this as an e-read though, due to the graphics. They really need to be seen in person.

I thoroughly enjoyed this richly-colored text with its purely magical illustrations. These entrancing images perfectly compliment the information provided. As a result, I would recommend it be used as a reference, where you jump to the signs in which you are most interested. Most of Doreen Virtue’s work circulates around the inclusion of angels within one’s life in a variety of formats. That said, Virtue and Roland cut no corners in illustrating the ways in which angels can be used for guidance when better understanding the various astrological signs. In fact, you can research your entire chart, from your sun sign to your ascendant. If you are not a hardcore at-home astrologer, don’t worry as this book is quite user-friendly and guides you through ways you can put it to use. At the beginning of each astrological sign, Virtue and Roland include a list of tips on how to call on angelic assistance if you are of a certain sign.
I enjoyed this book, as I have other books by Doreen Virtue, and look forward to recommending it to others upon its release.

I was very excited to read this book, because I have always been intrigued by astrology. I admit, I read my horoscope in magazines, even though I know most are made up by some random person...

I liked this book, but was a little bit disappointed, because I didn't really see myself in the description given for me.
I was born on the cusp, and always thought I was a bit of both signs. As the authors mention, that is not correct. You are only one sign, the one that was the correct one on the day you were born.
So I read that one, but I found more similarities for myself with the other sign of the cusp.

I don't think that astrology can be completely accurate for every person in the world, but I was just hoping to read it and go "That's SO me".

overall, still a well written and easy to navigate book.

When I saw this book it grabbed my attention for so many reasons... I love angels, I love astrology and that is a gorgeous cover *cover junkie moment*!

This is a very colourful book with an awesome layout and stunning pictures throughout the book. It took me a while to get into it but only because I needed to find my chart so I could read the relevant sections which it made it that much more interesting. I enjoyed the small things about the books as well like how they included the star constellation and each Angel's specialties.

Angel Astrology 101 is a very interesting read. Personally I would prefer this in paperback so that I can refer to it when I need to. It can be read from cover to cover but I think it is more interesting when you can apply it to something or someone you know.

Final Thoughts: This is a beautiful book and it will probably end up on my bookshelf!

In this exciting new book from Doreen Virtue and Yasmin Boland, astrology and the angels come together to bring a new dimension to your birth chart.

The book is divided into twelve chapters, each with a zodiac sign and the angel that corresponds to that sign. Not only does Doreen teach you which angel is connected to your sign, she also tells you a lot about you and the sign you were born under. I found the information to be extremely accurate and right on with my personality.

This was a very enlightening and inspiring read, highly recommended for anyone who enjoys astrology, or the subject of angels.

This book was a little difficult to load because of all of the pictures. The pictures were lovely and very artistic.The formatting was off. The content of the book was interesting but I think this book was a little to advanced to be called 101.

This was a nice read and the two writers are very knowledgeable. Both well know in the New Age field. You need to have a physical copy of this book to enjoy the illustrations and fonts. It does slow down your e reader.

I have always had an interest in astrology. So when I saw this book at NetGalley, I thought that I would check it out. This book sure didn't disappoint me one bit. I learned more about myself than I wanted to...lol. Plus now I know why I do some of the things I do and I also found my Archangel as well.

I was able to take my natal chart and look up the different signs and find out why I am the way I am and I just found it fascinating that a book can describe it me in a way that I would understand it. I know that this will be one book that I will be buying when it comes out :)
