Three inspirational communicators, with successful experience in speaking, publishing, writing, and counseling have compiled captivating lists that will find their way into your heart, help you cope, and change your life. This is not a book of trivial information but a book of lists that telescope areas of our lives where we have the deepest concerns. The thoughts are succinct but flow with inspiration and wisdom. This book is for all ages, men and women, Christian and non-Christians and would make a great inspirational gift.
If it really matters...you’ll find it here
You name it and this book has it. Within these pages are two hundred lists filled with powerful wisdom that will change your life.
—More than trivia, they are timeless truths.
—More than words, they are motivation for success.
—More than another collection, they are a treasure of inspiration and practical advice you’ll come back to again and again.
From family to friendship, contentment to virtue, wisdom to love, these are lists to make your life easier, richer, and truer. Some will cause you to reflect. Some will bring excitement. Some will make you smile. Some will move you to action. And most assuredly, some will change your life
I browsed more than I actually read this book. It is a little bit farther towards the Christian/Inspirational end of the spectrum for my tastes but I found it to be helpful anyway. I had to create a new shelf for it as it didn't fit very well on my existing shelves. I even thought about sending a copy to a friend or purchasing some of the other titles in the series. I will use this book again. It is almost like a trivia collection, or a collection of quotes. Some of the material I am familiar with from other sources. With sections on success, friendship, family life, family fun, and wisdom, to name a few, this book is filled with short bites of information. And that is how I usually like my inspiration and advice..short, to the point, and useful.
This is an awesome book with all kinds of lists from marriage, parenting, resume writing, interview skills, how to be a long distance grandparent, how to be successful, etc. Definately a book to keep out on the shelf so you can just grab it and read something quick.
Very relaxed way to spend a Sunday morning. I got through these compiled lists with a cuppa and noted those that stood out to me. Some weren’t as relevant to my journey but I could still sift some pearls of wisdom even from those.
I could tell that this book was published a while ago in the 1990’s from various works as some of this information in todays society would cause a kerfuffle due to more liberal views. However I am definitely more of a traditionalist at heart so even though some lists made me cringe a bit, I could still empathize.
Lists covering topics of Success Friendship Virtue Life’s Transitions Marriage Home Health Contentment Standing strong Family fun Family life Family values Family love Wisdom
Book of easy read lists with ideas to live by regarding family, values, relationships…etc. Picked the book up at a thrift shop but actually enjoyed going through the list with some surprise insights and inspiration. The last two chapters spoke to early parenting advice and insights which didn’t fit for me, but some were good to read and remember 😊
I may not have been able to relate to every list in here, but it was a very inspiring book filled with lists about wisdom, family, and love. There is practically a list for everything. I definitely recommend buying this book if your looking for advice or just if you love lists like I do!
Timeless truths are contained within, with 200 lists of words of wisdom, motivation, and inspiration. I look at it as a reference book of really awesome lists of success, friendship, virtue, marriage, home, health, contentment, love and family.
Great healthy mentality to go by. Does a great job deciphering what it necessary versus what what is not in life. Made me look at my habits in my daily schedule more closely and see what I was doing wrong. Real eye-opener!
I just found this book again. A coworker gave it to me when I graduated with my bachelor's degree. It's pretty cute and definitely useful as a graduation/life-changing event gift.
great book to use as a motivational tool on many levels. Enjoyed reading it. There is something there for everyone but not everything applies to everyone.
