Alibi II: Nard's Revenge

Rate this book
ALIBI II picks up where ALIBI left off. The year is 2006 and Diane Praeliou is happily married and living on a horse ranch in Arizona when she receives a letter that threatens her entire world. Someone knows her true identity.

In 1986, Daisy was given a second chance at life when she received a new identity and a fresh start as a college student in Arizona courtesy of the witness protection program.

Nard wasn't so lucky. He was sentenced to twenty years to life in a western Pennsylvania facility and has endured things that no man should ever have to endure. All Nard can think about is Daisy's testimony and how much he wants revenge.

Diane goes on living life, finding love, and getting married until things slowly begin to spiral out of control. What makes matters worse is now Nard is out on parole and Diane is afraid for herself and her family. Feigning innocence, Diane can only turn to one person for help. But if she doesn't come clean about her past secrets, her entire world can come crashing down and there will be no one to protect her. (60,000 words)

True to the Game by author and publisher Teri Woods has been undisputedly titled a classic. While working as a legal secretary for a law firm and juggling motherhood in Philadelphia, PA, Teri Woods completed her first novel, True to the Game. Teri Woods submitted her story over a period of six years to more than 20 different publishers, all of whom rejected her. When major publishing houses refused to embrace True to the Game she wasn’t discouraged. In 1998 instead of giving up, Teri Woods printed, bound, self-published and began selling hand to hand her first book True to the Game. . . . Her grassroots tactic paid off; Teri Woods became a self-made millionaire in just three years selling her novel, True to the Game. She landed a major motion picture deal for the book as well. With the release of True to the Game, Teri Woods has reinvigorated the urban fiction market and created a growing trend in publishing.

The first one was so much better. Alibi II was so drawn out, so many unnecessary details. Pretty much a book that was all over the place. Towards the end it seems like the author was running out of time so the ending with Nard & Daisy was rushed. I read to find out about the revenge from Nard to Daisy and that was only a few pages at the end.

I waited a long time for this book. I read part one a while ago and was excited for this book. I loved the beginning and ending! The middle left a lot to be desired. There were so many characters and storylines. I didn't feel that every character from part 1 needed to stay around in part 2.

As always Teri Woods showed and proved once again he is an incredible writer. I like how he progressed the characters through the years and the ending was just wonderful. I really didn't see it coming. I don't want to give any spoilers but make sure you read the first book because everything comes full circle! A really great read couldn't put it down!!!

I really enjoyed this sequel. I liked the character Nard. I would like to see a follow-up book to see what happens to Daisy.

Outstanding! Teri Woods developed her characters well. She gives us a creative ending that I would have never dreamed of. Ms Woods does not disappoint!
