Blending of the Sands

Rate this book
Through darkness and light, my heart is still yours, our path still the same,
our world slowly changing.

💙 She lost him…
After everything she did to keep Harm safe, Fletcher still won.
Locked in a cage, held by one of the regime’s high-ranking officers, Imani refuses to believe he is gone.
He can’t be.
Her chance comes, and she flees to the outskirts of the desert counties, determined to find Harm or Jonah.
Desperate to find Harm, she breaches the wall, and what she finds on the other side changes everything.

🤎 Harm would give his soul to see Imani just one last time. Her brilliant blue eyes, her elegant smile. To hear her laugh. To fold her into his arms.
But he must keep going.
The rebellion needs him.
Fletcher is still hunting him.
When one thing leads to another and his kindness finds him on the run yet again, Harm flees to a place his grandmother travelled to decades ago.
Now, he must help blend two sides to overthrow the regime, or every sacrifice was for nothing, and the people of the sands will have nothing left.

Omg this book put me through so many emotions! Not sure what Imani and Mason have cooked up with Hanola. I hope my heart doesn’t break even further for Harm. But man this book is everything! This story is more plot than spice but keeps you on your toes the whole time!

Another great book that kept me hooked till the end! The only thing that made me not give it 5 stars was I wish there was more back story and character development on the people of the Forest. I feel like there could have been a lot more detail in that area. Other than that, the story is great and I'm super excited for book 3!!

This second book in the Sands of Ruin series was fantastic. There was so much action going on, it had me on the edge of my seat. There was also a lot of heartache and sadness, joy, love, you name it. This book takes you through the gamut of emotions as you read about Harm and Imani’s adventures.

I really enjoyed this well written dystopian book. The storyline is amazing, and it’s a really good read. Totally recommend if you like dystopian, slow burn romance, high action and angst!

I received an advance reader copy from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Blending of the Sands picks up shortly after the brutal events of Sands of Ruin. Imani held captive by the man she used to call her father, is beaten but not broken. Harm is on the run, hoping he can aid the rebellion that looks to overthrow the brutally oppressive regime of the land. Can the two find each other again, stay away from the evil grasp of Fletcher, and stay alive in the process?

I greatly enjoyed diving right back into this world. Imani and Harm are two of my favorite characters I have encountered this year. Imani is still resolute, refusing to back down even when the odds are continually stacked against her. Harm is still a sweet soul, more street wise and world weary, but still always willing to offer kindness. Their growth across last book continued in this entry, and I feel well continue for however many books this series blesses us with. I read this book in one day, I just could not put it down. This one is a little heavier, there is more sadness and grief, but that simply serves to make the moments of joy pop more. The slow burn love continues as well. The moments we get are worth all the waiting we are going through, along with Harm and Imani of course. This was a thrilling, emotional sequel and already can't wait for the next installment.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily and all views expressed are my own.

Oh my word!!! Well, she certainly had mastered the art of cliffhangers! My request has already gone in to hurry up with book 3!
We start in the aftermath of the gallows, who can forget that ending!! Imani and Harm are in their own personal prisons, each told that the other was dead, crushing their hopes. The first section is actually a tough read, not in the sense that it was a slow burn, but more because of how good the writing is, you felt their suffering too.
Each found themselves taking a chance, to make sure that their sacrifices were not in vain. But getting to Fletcher with so few people is going to be impossible, even with their new found allies.
Sands of Ruin was amazing, I loved it, but there are no words for this one, other than I read 87% in one go. You know I'm all about the characters, and this book has a plethora of fantastic characters. Our old faithfuls develop even more and the new allies brought in are just as dynamic, showing a completely different side to the lands behind the wall. All just absolutely exquisite. I laughed, I cried and I screamed at people to run faster! The ending.....

I had the honor to read this sequel; honestly, it was better than the first. I love the relationship between Harm and Imani. The book starts soon after the last book ends and gives us a look at how Harm and Imani are dealing with not only being apart but also seeing how strong they are when their love is the reason to keep going and being strong. I cried a little reading this one, it is abnormal for me to cry during books but this one had me feeling some type of way. I recommend this book to anyone.

Great continuation of the story!! I was hooked right away and was so invested in what’s going to happen next. I love how it transitioned from the first book and continued where it left off. Seeing the pain and heartache both Harm and Imani went through. No matter the pain and suffering they went through, they remained strong.

This book filled me with so much emotion. I smiled, I laughed, I cried. I just love the connection and chemistry between the two of them was just so heartwarming. I even could feel their pain as well.

Love the world building and the characters and learning more as we go. Seeing old and new faces and how there are so many connections between them. Love all the action they left me so hooked. That ending though!!I’m dying to know what’s going right happen next!!! I need answers!!

If you love dystopian romance, slow burn, action packed story. This is for you!

5/5.
I absolutely could not wait for the second book, and now I am left shook! I need the third stat! Harm is going to break, what on earth is Imani and Mason thinking …. Surely it’s a set up has to be. I feel as though Rose-Marie paints this other side of the wall as a beautiful forest wonderland. Compared to the dunes on the other side where people are dying from drinking from the wells. Harm learns to fight and he knows it’s all down to him to change the dial……

This is such a good sequel, and in my opinion, even better than the first book. This series is beyond revolutionary. The slow burn romance from book 1 building into the suspense of this entire book just really made it all fall into place with the main story. I love that the romance is a key element, but there would still be a story without it. R.M Muller is an amazing author!

Another amazing novel by RM Muller, I need book Three... the ending was amazing, and a cliff hanger left me wanting to pick up the next book immediately, I cannot wait to see what happens to our characters. I love the new characters Harm and Imani have met in this novel Blending of the Sands, loved the journey, and the twists the author has created in this novel, not sure when she comes up with this amazing plot
For a new author, I'd have to say RM Muller is doing an amazing job, her creativity and imagination leave she reader satisfied and wanting more. I have breezed through the first two novels and the prequel is next on my list, These Vicious Sands while I wait for book 3
I thank the author for this ARC

Darker, more thrilling, and with even higher stakes, Blending of the Sands picks up where the first novel leaves off, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as they try to determine the fates of Harm and Imani. As new characters are introduced to fill out the cast and returning favourites make their way back, readers are left cheering and gasping as this ever hopeful band of rebels fights to save the world they know and dream of what it could become. Have the tissues handy, this one hits all the feels!

Woah, what a great sequel! It's another emotional, action-packed story of self discovery, fight for what is right, found family, and fierce love (slow burn). I was captivated by the  storyline R.M. Muller has come up with, its a page turner for sure! This time, we got to meet the forest village and what an amazing worldbuilding and new characters that was amazing. I really liked Catori, Callian, and Miya. I'm on the fence about Hanola and Mason's motives and secrets. Still absolutely Loathe Fletcher and now Arthur.

Man, I felt all the emotions throughout this book. Harm & Imani go through a lot during their separation, finding each other and ultimately being parted again way too quickly.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching their characters grow into stronger people, especially Harm, who is an unlikely hero being the more sensitive and untrained of the group but he really comes into his own. The blending and the spicy scenes were fantastic. And boy what a damn cliffhanger, impatiently waiting for the next book.

I had the opportunity to receive this as an advanced copy and give my honest review, and it has truly been a compelling read from the beginning! It’s definitely one of those series that gets better with each book, and I’m just counting down the days until book three comes out. It’s a wonderfully unique story set in a dystopian world, a magical dial that controls the weather and climate and now we’re getting introduced to entire new booms, compelling characters and villages as well. The old characters we’ve been with got so much more development in this book and I was truly enraptured the entire time I was reading! I’m enjoying reading a strong FMC that has a lot of rage and a MC that is too kind and compassionate for the world he’s in. There was some spice in this book, so if you were waiting for it in the first book, wait no longer because the slow burn romance turned into a full fledged fire. Finally, the last book ended on a cliff hanger, and the second one did the same thing! You won’t regret picking up this one if you’re looking for a read that is set apart from what I’ve been reading recently.

Blending of the Sands is the second book in the Sands of Ruin series. If you enjoyed book one, you’re not going to want to miss out on what book two holds.
Harmen and Imani are back. This book picks up where book one left off. Both of our characters have been captured. Now, they must endure what the Guardians have in store for them if they hope to see each other again. What they will be made to go through will threaten to break them, but endure it they must.
The danger never stops. But there will be new discoveries to make in this book. There will be a new area revealed and new characters introduced. Change is coming, and the characters will keep striving to stay together and find some happiness. But for how long can they keep it?
Book one jumped rope between YA and New Adult, but book two takes that big step over into being completely New Adult.
The closer you come to the end, the more clues you’re going to get that a twisted ending is coming. Brace yourself. This book is going to hand you an ending that you’re not going to see coming, but that will leave you wondering – “What is going to happen next?!” We’ll just have to wait and see.

What a whirlwind of emotions! Yes another cliff-hanger leaving me wanting more! The story picks up right after the first books events. It was truly a chaotic mess of emotions as Imani and Harmen try to pick up their respective pieces and try to keep living when they feel like they do not have anything left to live for. The intertwining of grandma Enid and Hanola was flawless. Their call to arms and action was set up beautifully. I really hope whatever Hanola, Mason and Imani cooked up is epic as we wait to see what happens next. I was super excited when our two main characters get a semblance of happiness only to have it ripped away. I am intrigued by what Hanola and Mason were doing that left him broken, but I have some theories! Wish there was a more history about the forest dwellers, but I can’t wait to see what we learn about the mountain men. Patiently waiting to see where this journey takes us!

I’d like to thank the author for gifting me the e-book for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Wow... just wow!

The first book was good but this follow up book is AMAZING. I just enjoy Harm and Imani so much and I was thrilled to see that there is starting to be an aspect of found family, something I didn't even realize I was missing from SoR. I am so invested in all of the side characters and the relationships that are forming that I can't wait for book 3!

This book had twists and turns so often I didnt even see that cliff hanger of an ending coming!! To say I am shook would be an understatement. RM Muller does a beautiful job addressing both sides of a bad situation and tackles the way these characters deal with trauma in themselves and in others in a way that is so heart wrenching that you find yourself pulling for characters you never thought you would care about.

I definitely cannot recommend this book enough!

𝙱𝚕𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚂𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚜 picks up where book 1 ends with Harm and Imani in prison. But, it wouldn't really be a rebellion if they didn't escape, right? You do get to meet more people in book 2 and I thought it was really interesting to see how different the forest dwellers are from those in the desert. You also learn about the existence of another group of people so I think we'll learn more about them in the next book. At least I hope so! I loved the character development for Harm and Imani and watching their budding romance grow into something a lot more fierce. It does end on another cliffhanger! Trying to figure out what Hanola, Imani, and Mason have planned is driving me crazy and I'm still on the fence about Mason & Hanola. I can't wait for book 3!

I received an arc of this book.

I wasn't sure what to expect after book one, but I was blown away by book two!

In Blending of the Sands, we get to witness Harm and Imani's transformation from adolescents into adulthood. They learn that there is much more to their world and the people around them than they originally thought. As threads begin to unravel and make sense, even more threads start turning into the tangled web we see at the end of the book. The twists and turns keep you turning pages until the very last one where you will be left as I have...

With more questions than you started with.

If you're looking for a revolutionary war, 2 badass MC, romance, a decent pinch off smut, the bad guy finding redemption (maybe?), fantasy, and so much more, look no further! Blending of the Sands has it all!

It starts off a little slow but the ending makes it worth pushing through the slow parts! If you thought book 1 had a cliffhanger ending, well you're in for a real treat with book 2. I've never needed to read the next book in a series so badly!

5 🌟 all the way for this book!

Spoiler.. can we all agree Mason and Catori make a really cute couple? I swear if Mason betrays the rebellion my heart will be crushed 💔

Blending of the Sands is a solid sequel. It picks up right after the end of book 1. There’s a lot of angst and longing and pain in the opening chapters. For me I found it a little slow to start but once it gets going there heaps happening.
In this instalment we get to see the forest side of the wall. I really enjoyed those parts. Seeing how Harm and Imani especially react to the differences in the forest environment was well done. That ending! Jeez! Thank god there’s another book to come!
If you like classic dystopian, romance and cool characters then you’ll like this series for sure.
