“Shifters of Black Forest Ridge: Emmett” is the fourth book in the series - Shifters of Black Forest Ridge Romance by Sedona Venez. It is another breathtaking, creative, intriguing and amazing story from start to finish! Each book tells its own story, but it is much more enjoyable if you read all of them. I enjoy the way, the characters from the first stories appear throughout this story and meeting new characters. The characters are well written, have depth and the plots are original.
This is the love story of Emmett and Seraphina. Emmett is a rhino shifter and Seraphina is a powerful witch and a demonborne. Emmett recognizes her as his fated mate and if she doesn’t accept their mated bond, he will go feral like every unmated males from Black Forest Ridge. Seraphina has been hurt by an ex-boyfriend and shuts herself off from any relationships. Additionally, she is new with her abilities, discovers her father, Obsidian, a demon who plans to take over the world with his demons through the portal to their world. It is her task to stop him. Emmett is very patient with her, helps with training her to face her father and slowly wins her affection. The Other Council of Black Forest will have her killed if, she can’t succeed to keep her farther from using her to open the portal. They have given her until the next Blood Moon in five days to accomplish this task. No pressure! Will Seraphina, Emmett, the Shifters from Black Forest, and the Coven succeed? Can they have their Happily Ever After?
The chemistry between Emmett and Seraphina sizzles! The story is packed with mystery, steamy, HOT scenes, fast paced action, danger and lots of twists and turns. You definitely don’t know what is going to happen next! Sedona Venez is an amazing story teller, who throughout the book keeps us on edge.

When life gives you frightening options

What a steamy, intense, action packed story!!! Reminiscent of a coming of age story, Seraphina finds out she is not an orphan (raised as a human) but instead a powerful cross between a deceased witch and her Demon Prince father, Obsidian. He wants to use her to open a portal, bringing chaos and death in its wake. An entire cascade of trouble is coming now that the protective spell that shielded her is gone with the death of a grandmother she never knew. Alone and unaware of her power potential, she comes to Black Forest Ridge for protection and training to ultimately take down Obsidian.

But for Seraphina, the best is meeting her fated mate Emmett, a rhino shifter who was a Special Ops soldier after unspeakable tragedy ripped his family apart. He is more than prepared to protect his mate. The battle to stop Obsidian comes sooner than she is prepared for but I must say, the world building is top notch (loved how Seraphina enters and has the Moreau world for training). Emmett is strong and caring. The danger is palpable and pulls you in from the start. Great continuation of this series!!.

Emmett is a rhino-shifter that tragically his parents to poachers in the Serengeti. His arduous, long search for his fated mate ends when Seraphina comes to town after her grandmother dies. Their connection is immediate and Emmett’s quest to claim his mate knows no bounds. But Seraphina has been burned - nay, SCATHED - by her cheating ex, so much so that she refuses to jump head-first into the mating that she knows she can’t resist for long. It also doesn’t help that she learns that she is a demonbourne and must learn a millennium’s worth of magical training in a matter of days in the hopes of killing her father.
Yeah, good times. A real feel-good story.

This was a short, sweet read. As usual, author Venez lays the classic, irresistible shifter boyfriend at our feet. And, as usual, the fear and insecurities of our heroine sends her running away from true love. Luckily, we love a man that loves the chase. Emmett is adorable, because wouldn’t we all want to be cherished and appreciated for both our assets and our flaws? Seraphina started off being very relatable … until she allowed past hurts to cloud any good judgment she had. Luckily, Emmett doesn’t give up easily.

Emmett is a rhino shifter who has finally found peace in his life at Black Forest Ridge. Now all he needs is his fated mate before he succumbs to the shifter madness.

Seraphina was raised by her adoptive mother. She has always felt different and never fit in. When she finds out her grandmother has been alive her whole life and has just died, she is devastated. She is totally ready to decline the house her grandmother left her in Black Forest Ridge, until her fire powers start to emerge. Now she must travel there to learn how to control her powers. But when she gets there she is in for an even bigger surprise! She is half demon and her father, Obsidian, is trying to kill her and take over the world. Well, okay! She is supposedly the only one who can stop him, but she knows nothing about being a witch.

When Emmet meets Seraphina, he knows she is his fated mate. But he must keep her alive long enough to defeat her father. Good thing he is strong and a warrior!

This is a fast paced, emotional and powerful story that needs the entire coven working together to teach Seraphina how to embrace her heritage. Don’t miss it!

Seraphina has been hurt by the ex-boyfriend and shuts herself off from Amy relationships.
Emmett is very patient and slowly start to win her over.
They have a job to do to keep Obsidian from over taking and entering with his demons thru the portal to their world.
Can Seraphina, Emmett, and the Black Forest Shifter along with The Coven succeed? Can they have a Happily Ever After?

Damn!! No pressure!! She had allot of pressure cause of her bloodline. She found out alot of things about her bloodline and how 2 do her elemental magic. Emmett is a rhino shifter and he is going 2 have a hard x 2 convince her about how he feels and what mates r. Can she fulfill her destiny with her mate by her side? It was really good and intense closer 2 the end.
