The final Connor sibling has been matched up, and with a super sexy millionaire, sigh. I have adored this family of quirky and hard-working siblings, although I cannot seem to settle on which book I liked best; each had unique complications and foibles. Hailey and Reid's story was so steamy it was hazardous to my Kindle with the additional benefit of allowing me to forgo my cardio workout today as my heart rate and respirations seemed well elevated and near enough to target levels.
It is always bittersweet to come to the end of a series, but maybe this one doesn’t have to end just yet as although all the siblings have paired off, several haven’t made it official yet. Perhaps we should petition Ms. Hagen to consider penning one more Connor book for all the wedding drama. ;)

I have loved Hailey in every single book that she was mentioned in.
Reid was the perfect man for her, or she the perfect woman for him..
In the end they were perfect for one another.
But now, with all Connors having found their other halves, does that mean the series is over because I'm not sure how it feel about that!
Thank you, Layla for another perfect read. For making me, once again, fall in love with these families and their interactions! I am from a big family myself (3 older brothers, 1 younger sister) and I would kill for evenings like the Connors have!

Always with You will be at the top of my best of 2019.
I had to fan myself with my kindle, Reid and Hailey have a steamy relationship from the first pages. Whew! Everything you crave and need in an emotional romance are here. These two, they are everything, and I love how Hagen squeezed everything in between them, and twisted me up until I had to deal with all the bittersweet emotional feels this book drew out. READ IMMEDIATELY. Quit reading my review, and just one click this book.
Hagen is not a new author to me, but she has blown my mind these fantastic characters. AWY is ridiculously addicting as are Hailey and Reid. I’ve thought of them all day hours after finishing. Hailey is so vulnerable and the way her story unfolds, the inevitable heartbreak and HEA, I loved her. She needs Reid.
Reid! Holy hell. Hagen found a new level with him. He’s perfect and he’s also not, but he's so well drawn. I loved how confident he was, and how he was the salve that Hailey needed. He got Hailey. I love a white knight, and I can read all the filthy and flirty things he said over and over. This book doesn't shy away from their steamy moments either.
It didn’t hurt that he had the best bachelor pad of all time. But he is so full of compassion and peace and longing and patience, and forgiveness. I could go on, but you should be clicking on this book already. It’s that good.

Always With You is officially my favorite book of the entire Connor clan. I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!! IT. WAS. EVERYTHING! Honestly it verged in on of Layla Hagen's HOTTEST stories yet! If she wanted to end the Connor series with a bang she definitely suceeded in it! It was bittersweet, but worth every delicious second. I could not get enough of this story and it's characters. Everything about this story was simply perfect, and so magical. It had that feel good hallmark feel, and I LOVED it. I could save about this book all day. It truly is my favorite by this author, and going straight into my best reads of 2019. I always love the sneak peaks each new story brings of past Connor's. It's always nice catching up to past characters you have come to love. However Hailey and Reid absolutely steal the show. If I had any complaints it's that I wanted MORE of them. I could have immensed myself in their world forever. They were seriously relationship goals. I ate up every minute of their easy banter, amd flirting ways. Their chemistry is some of the best I have read. And they definitely knew how to make your kindle sizzle.

Hailey has always been one of my favorite characters. What can I say, I've just always had a soft spot for the youngest Connor. She's just so easy to love and relate too. She's carefree, young and determined. I loved her sassy spit fire ways. I never realized how insightful her character was. She was quick on her toes, and always had a plan to tackle anything. Most of all I admired Hailey's vulnerability. Her insecurities it made her that much stronger.
"I felt so utterly alive and so very... loved. I couldn't even... oh God, how could he make me feel so many things at the same time?"
Reid is MINE. Seriously I am calling dibs right now! Holy mother of Book Boyfriends he is utterly perfect. I could not get enough of this man's charm. Did I mention he was perfect? Everything about Reid pulls you in. I have never read a more charming, compassionate, and dominating alpha. Every word out of his mouth either made me want to purrr or melt into a puddle of swoons. He was the perfect mix of gentlemen, and dirty mouthed alpha. Mark my words when I say Reid Davenport is out to completely steal your heart.

Well earned for one of the best endings to a series I have read in 2019. I truly can not stress how much I recommend you read this book. And well this whole series. I am sad to see it end. But hope this won't be the last we see of these characters. I am ready to see what journey the author takes me on next.

4.25 Stars / 2 Steam Fans
Reid has been the head of his family and when he is attacked through the media from an ex-fiancée his mother hires Hailey to fix his image. The two of them both have families that want them to settle down. Hailey has some anxiety issues that she is dealing with and the two of them take a sweet and touching journey to help each other find love. I enjoyed that even though this is the sixth book in the series you really don't need to read the other books to enjoy this one. In many way this book has me intrigued about the rest of the series to find out more about the Connor family.

Ich bin gerade echt traurig, dass diese Serie nun ein Ende hat, denn ich habe jeden Band genossen. Ich liebe diese Familie und fühle mich nach 6 Bänden selber wie ein Mitglied davon. Ich hab zwar noch die 10-bändige Serie vor mir und muss mich so nicht ganz von den Charakteren verabschieden, aber spielt diese Serie vor dieser und so haben da noch nicht alle die Liebe gefunden. Ich hoffe, dass die Autorin noch weitere so tolle Bücher schreibt, damit ich noch ganz viel von ihr lesen kann. Es war wieder eine wundervolle Geschichte und ich bereue nicht, dass ich mir die Serie komplett nachgekauft habe und nun endlich gelesen habe. Eine absolute Empfehlung von mir, auch wenn es eines der (bisschen) schwächeren Bände war.

Yes, finally I get the story of my girl Hailey!
I absolutely adored her in all the other Connor Family books I've read and was anticipating her to find her true love.
She was always the one to be quick to douse out any fires her siblings may be in. She was the fun, outgoing and a little bit naughty youngest sibling, which made her the most lovable. Of course after Jace!
Now we finally get to see her and understand her on a new level. She has a demanding job which she loves, within PR. So when a huge scandal breaks lose for business man Reid, she is the one who is asked to come to his rescue.
He's not a man to go against his own agenda so when Hailey is thrown into his line of fire he only tries to push her away. However with her feistiness and strength he ends up admiring her more than he should.
They work together and make compromises, some which end up with impromptu dates! They're just too darn lovable together and so as they relationship grows from business to the quickly personal it doesn't seem forced but meant to be.
There's some more fires that need putting out but with both of them being open and willing to work things out they only bloom. Yet there is some difficult moments but it was written with such ease that you knew that happy ending was only in your fingertips grasp.
A beautiful story and conclusion to this six book series. I loved seeing the Connor clan again and could seriously read about their lives forever.

Layla Hagen has done it again. She has ended another family saga series beautifully!! It is always bittersweet when I come to the end of a series with Layla. I have loved both the Bennett’s and the Connor’s so much and will miss each of these characters so much!!!
We have watched Hailey throughout this whole series and I was excited to read her book. I was not disappointed with her story. I thought Reid was the perfect match for her. I loved getting a closer look into Hailey. She was always such a sassy and strong character in her siblings books, but I was also great to see her vulnerable side in her book.
Layla’s family sagas always leave me with a huge smile on my face. Her books are the perfection mixture of humor, sex and romance. She even throws in some drama to keep things interesting. I thought this book had the most drama, but it worked well with this storyline.
Always With You is the 6th and final book in the Connor Family Series. This was told in Dual POV and is a complete standalone. But with any of her family saga series, I would highly recommend that you read the series in order. My only issue with this story was that at times there were some time jumps that just didn’t blend in well. I felt that we lost some time between chapters, but it was nothing big enough to take away my enjoyment of this story. It just made the flow a little choppy. I also believe some people will consider this an insta-love story but to me it worked so I didn’t mind it at all.
Hailey Connor has finally gotten her story. In this book we follow her and Reid to their HEA. Hailey is the youngest of the girl siblings in the Connor family. She has moved back to LA to be close to her family and has found her dream job at a PR firm. Reid is a hotel mogul, running his family’s hotel business. He has made a name for himself and was hurt from a past relationship. Which in turn has caused him to become kind of a recluse. He is also one who liked a schedule and things to run according to that schedule, so when he is told he has an appointment with Hailey the PR rep, he isn’t very happy. To say their first meeting didn’t go smoothly would be hitting the nail on the head. Can Hailey break down Reid’s walls and get him to open up?? Can Reid show Hailey it is worth going after something that scares us?? Can these two get their HEA?? Read this entertaining story to find out.
I again enjoyed seeing all the Connor clan in this story. I liked that we got to see how some of the past Connor’s stories played out. I thought she ended this story and wrapped up this series perfectly. Again, I liked getting a cameo of Pippa Bennett. I miss that family :)
If you are a fan of family saga’s then jump into the mix with The Connor’s. These stories will entertain you and leave you smiling. Oh…and the Heroes will melt your kindle ;) Don’t miss Layla’s newest romance novel….it’s worth the read!!!!

Layla sigue en su rollo. ¿Te han gustado otros libros suyos? Entonces este te gustará también porque sigue las mismas pautas que todo lo demás que he leído de ella.
Es verdad que me leo sus libros porque están en Kindle Unlimited y si no fuera así habría pasado de ellos muy olímpicamente. Como tengo la sensación de que no pago y no gasto dinero ni me ocupan hueco en la estantería son gratis.
Ellas son más o menos la misma y ellos son prácticamente el mismo todo el rato. Cambia el escenario y los secundarios, pero es difícil recordar la historia de cada hermano/primo o lo que sea solo por el nombre porque son todas muy similares.
Quitando eso es un libro que entretiene mucho y se disfruta, con su dosis de dramita y ¡oh, no!, ¿cómo van a arreglar esto?, para que sufras un poco al final (sabiendo internamente que todo acabará bien).
No te recomiendo empezar a leer por aquí porque es el sexto de la serie y, aunque son autoconclusivos, te pierdes los amoríos del resto de la familia.
Prueba de los primeros y si te gusta, engánchate a tope.

Reid Davenport is a perfect match for the last sibiling in the Connor family, Hailey Connor. She is the youngest on. We met her in previous book obviously and I think I know her already. The got under my skin.
Hailey, the fiery PR consultant is sopposed to help Reid and his hotels in this area. The first impact is hate but soon they transform an an work meeting to a date. And after that they can not live one without the other.

When Hailey, the youngest Connor sibling, meets her newest client (or potential client), Reid, she's not so sure she can work with him. He's closed up, kind of a dick, and not at all receptive to the idea of working with her, opening up to her. Sigh... but thankfully, after a little discussion with his family, Reid realizes he needs her, perhaps in more ways than one...
Is this the last of The Connor Family saga? I hope not, but if so, Hailey and Reid's story is a great way to end it. I loved these two together, both of them are sweethearts who were just waiting for their soul mate to come along and sweep them off their feet. I think I swooned a tad when I was reading because they, especially Reid, are absolutely adorable. He's such a big-hearted gentleman with some serious moves in and out of the bedroom, but he never fell into the alpha jerk role. And Hailey with her equally big heart and sweet nature is perfect for Reid. I'm going to miss the Connors if this is the last of the series. I can only hope there's more to come!

Hailey was a force to be reckoned with back in book 1. And over the course of the six books, she’s matured and grown up even more. I loved the playful and serious nature of who Hailey was. She took her job seriously, and if I’m honest I’m a bit jealous of her job. It sounds riveting and thrilling. Reid was so stuck-up when introduced…with good reason. But he could have stood to lighten up a bit. Beneath the mask that Reid shows others, he’s caring, warm, loving, a devoted brother, and an amazing son. What others see is a recluse and that’s how he likes it. When Hailey and Reid meet, it was like watching oil and vinegar trying to mix, but still getting nothing. But then these two slowly morphed from oil and vinegar to a smooth captain and coke. I loved every bit of these two together. I think that Hailey handled the professional side of their working relationship flawlessly. Then to see that morph to a personal relationship was heart-eye inducing. Hailey brought out the playful side in Reid, which he needed. He was a straight to the point, never straying from the schedule, and always eat your vegetables type of person. Watching him change to someone that gave his CFO control of the business for a while was HUGE! That’s the kind of character transformation that I like to see. Hailey and Reid were an amazing conclusion to this family.
Okay…time to let me be dramatic for a minute. I’m actually crying because I’m saying goodbye to the Connor family…and by extension, the Bennett family as well. I need more from these families. Hailey getting her happily ever after was the cherry on top for this amazing family. Please tell me that we’ll get a holiday book/ family reunion type of something. I need to know if any of the Bennett’s pop out more kids, when Will and Paige get married, and when Hailey and Reid pop out a couple of nuggets. These are the things that will keep me up at night. Just kidding. Maybe. Kind of. But in all seriousness, this family has been a joy to read about, laugh with, and fall in love with. I need a Connor or Bennett man in my life!

Aaahhh, I can't believe that we've come to the end of the Connor series!!! Time really flies so fast when you're having fun reading all the books in this series. I had mixed emotions the moment I opened the book. I was ecstatic and so excited to finally read Hailey's happily ever after. The youngest and the sweetest of the siblings whom I have already warmed up to from the very first book. But at the same time, I was sad because I knew I wouldn't be reading about these siblings, whom I have fallen in love with, anymore. I'm surely gonna miss them but they won't be forgotten.
I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! It was the perfect book to unwind after a hectic day. Having already met Hailey and loved her even before really knowing her, I couldn't ask for a better man for her than Reid. He was a gentleman through and through. Even though he was hurt by his ex Marion, he didn't strike back not until his family was affected. Besides Reid being handsome, sexy and hot, I loved his stubbornness and hard demeanor but with a soft heart when it comes to his family and now with Hailey. Just as Hailey was close to her siblings, Reid was close to his sister and parents. They both have the same motto: family comes first. And that is a major plus point for me.
I have always pictured Hailey to be a happy go lucky, free spirited and easy going kind of girl. Well, she was indeed all of those. She's also straight forward, honest, dedicated, a bit stubborn but caring and loving. Reid and Hailey were perfect for each other. I love how they met and how their relationship flourished. Although they didn't start at the right foot, their love flowed naturally once Reid opened up and let Hailey in. Their instant attraction for each other magnified tremendously and to a great extent. What I do loved most was Hailey's caring nature that went beyond her family. The way she cared for Bianca, Reid's sister, was just so inspiring.
I was instantly attached and immensely in love with this book. I couldn't resist feeling giddy whenever Reid and Hailey were together. The anticipation as to when they would finally give in to their attraction had me flipping through the pages faster than my usual pace. I breathed a sigh of relief when they finally did. I felt like I was there with them in the story. I wanted to fight for both of them when their love was tested. I felt like I needed to hug them both for the sad and the happy times.
Hats off to Layla for a perfect ending to an amazing series. I had the most wonderful time knowing and falling in love with each Connor sibling. This series is just as amazing as the Bennett's. I'm in awe with Layla because she gave each book its unique story. Stories that made me fall head over hills in love constantly in an instant. It made me laugh and smile most of the time, and brought tears to my eyes as well. Made me swoon like I was the heroine in the story. Made me forget my problems for a while. But most of all, made me want to hug and kiss my husband all of the time.
I highly recommend this book and all the others in the series if you haven't read them yet. I already miss the Connors. My first book by Layla Hagen was Your Irresistible Love introducing us to the Bennett Family, and I read every book since. Books where you can truly invest in a family are my go to troupe and I loved every one. Thankfully, when the Bennetts were done getting married off, we were treated with individual stories of their cousins, the Connors. Always with You is a standalone, and you can absolutely read this without any prior knowledge of the family, but I personally love catching up with everyone as they feel like family to me.
Always With You, book 6, features Reid Davenport and Hailey Connor as our hero and heroine. Hailey is the last of the Connors to fall in love and I am hoping there is a secret follow-up in the works, even a few chapters with a wedding perhaps, because I always want more!
Layla writes such engaging characters where the heroes are genuinely deserving of the title. Reid is a smart, honorable businessman running a successful hotel empire, and a great son and brother to his younger sister, but it’s lonely at the top and his life has become routine. He meets Hailey, a PR pro, who is hired to help him out of a jam with a selfish ex, and sparks immediately fly. I love how you feel as if you are actually there and part of their story, and the alternating points of view so that you can see how each one feels.
I love how Reid was classy in the streets and a dirty talker in the sheets. He only had eyes for Hailey and his devotion made me swoon, especially when they hit a roadblock in their relationship. I liked that he wasn’t a player and how through his actions, he made her feel cherished and loved. Their physical chemistry was undeniable and their sexy times were very steamy! That Reid is one hell of a flirt and Hailey gave it right back!
I loved them together from their first introduction even though it didn’t go very well. I admired how she handled the situation, and how level headed and professional she was and not some crazy fan girl who caved into his very gorgeous grin. Reid was charismatic for sure, but more importantly he fought for what was right and the woman he loved. Swoon, swoon, swoon!
We met Hailey in the previous books and I loved her relationship with her siblings, nieces and nephews, and how down to earth she was. I do wish she made different choices at times with Reid, but it’s all part of being human and in a relationship. I loved how well they complimented each other and how they made each other better.
Even though this may be the last book in this series, I will be a forever fan and one-click whatever Layla writes because I know it will give me all the feels and end with a happily ever after.

What an incredible ending to the Connor Family (well I assume it’s the end), I fell in love very early on in Layla Hagen’s Bennett Family series, then she blew it out of the water with the Connor Family, (Bennett cousins in LA.) Each member had taken a little of my heart creating a new love that will not be easily replaced. Landon, Val, Lori, Jace and Will all found their forever loves but youngest Hailey seemed just the baby. Somehow she grew into a beautiful woman and it’s finally her turn for happy ever after!
Hailey is the sweet younger sibling of the Connor clan. She’s been there for everyone as a rock, a
Connor Cuddle, a trouble maker, but now she’s a PR agent and is very good at job. Putting out fires is what she does best, so when the offer of representing Reid Davenport comes she jumps at the chance.
Reid Davenport is owner of Davenport Hotels, he’s private but is sitting in the biggest scandal to rock his life. Needing help but refusing what his PA suggests leaves him open to everything. To anyone who doesn’t know him Reid can come across as cold and harsh but they couldn’t be farther from the truth when you see how warm and caring he is towards those he loves. He manages the family hotel business and is determined to keep his private life private but his ex-girlfriend is doing everything she can to make their past very public and is more concerned about the publicity it brings than it being the truth.
Hailey is the baby of the Connor family and because of her past she has always been close to her family. She is a rising star in the PR industry however her newest client Reid is less than impressed that he needs her services and their first meeting was a disaster.
Reid comes to the painful conclusion that he needs her professional help but the personal connection between them took them both by surprise. Their journey was not without its drama and angst but that only made the ending that much better.
Reid and Hailey are perfect for each other as they help each other heal from their pasts. Hailey shows Reid that life doesn’t always have to be serious and Reid shows Hailey his sexy side which is enough to make you swoon. It is always fun to catch up with the Connor family and this book is no exception.

Hailey is the last Connor book and it was centered on PR mostly. Reid Davenport inherited his hotel from his family he's serious, loner and grumpy, all focused on work at the start. Hailey is brought is when Reid's ex is slandering him in the news. It's important to nip that in the bud before it affects business. They both didn't get off the right foot but Reid realizes the scandal might affect his family.
They got on well after that, Reid goes after what he wants and that's Hailey. I'm pretty used to the instant attraction in these books so I'm not surprised. Both good looking people and opposites attract. They got steamy right away too. Of course the scandal doesn't die down and they are caught in the middle of it. They need to figure out where they're going from there.
This series is minimal angst so it's pretty smooth sailing relationship wise with doses of family interactions. Minimal bumps of conflict not dragged out. It's for after heavy books kind of read and light hearted with heart. Layla Hagen knows her family series well the whole bonding and rapport is always great to see. Crossovers from her other family series. Nice ending to a series and all tied up.

Another great installment from the Connor family. Always with you is Hailey and Reid's sweet and flirty story and I just couldn't put it down.
Hailey works for a PR company in Hollywood and when Reid finds himself in the middle of a PR nightmare he soon finds himself as Hailey's new client.
They say opposites attract and you cannot get much different than Hailey and Reid. He's a bit of a recluse living and working in his extravagant hotel and Hailey is outgoing and lives life to the full. Sparks soon start to fly but when their lives start to unravel can the really make it through?
I love the Connor family stories, each one can be read as a standalone and they all come highly recommended by Crazy Cajun Book Addicts.

Hailey Connor has made a name for herself as a hard as nails Hollywood PR rep. Taking on a new client, Reid, comes with an unusual set of rules as he is is not Hollywood but has made his fortune in hotels. Can you work closely with someone and not have the sparks fly? When the relationship is publicized will it be the end of Hailey's career? Can two people from different worlds fall in love and get a HEA? Once again Layla Hagen creates beautifully written characters and surrounds them with a storyline the reader cannot put down. Each Connor has found love and I am so glad that Hailey has gotten her chance too.

Always with You marks a bittersweet ending to an unforgettable family. Hailey is the last Connor to fall and she falls hard. Reid is not in her plans. Her brain is saying bad idea, but her heart deems him a perfect fit. Although they meet under less than perfect circumstances, they make quite an impression on each other and closet romantics everywhere. Can two people who love being in control, loosen the reins enough to fall in love? With humor, heart and love, Hagen saves the best for last. What's the harm in a little heartbreak when it leaves the door open for so much more.

The story is filled with romance, drama - mostly brought on my Reids' ex - and laughter. With plenty of twists and moments that will make you cheer, this book will leave you with a smile on your face. I always want to start the series again from the beginning, every time a new one comes out. I love the Connor family!

Flowers of Passion – Verlockende Azaleen - der nunmehr sechste und leider auch letzte Band dieser wundervollen, sinnlichen Reihe, auf welche ich nun voller Wehmut und Traurigkeit blicke, denn selten haben Reihen so eine große Sogwirkung, wie bei Layla Hagen. Es war ein Fest, wieder einzutauchen und erfüllte mich mit einer geballten Ladung Emotionen, die meine Sinne und Empfindungen bis aufs äußerste reizten.
Layla Hagens Worte sind eine zärtliche Liebkosung, authentisch, voller Gefühle und Emotionen. Ich liebe ihren Stil und lechze mit jedem Wort nach mehr. Kann nie genug von ihr bekommen. Layla Hagen ist eine jener wenigen Autorinnen, die ohne großes Tamtam oder Drama auskommen, um Herzen höher schlagen und den Puls rasen zu lassen. Allein durch ihre Protagonisten, die auch unbedacht handeln, Ecken und Kanten haben, wird diese Reihe lebendig und realistisch. Hailey ist die zweitjüngste in der Connor Familie und ich mochte sie schon in den vorherigen Bänden.
Reid, das krasse Gegenteil von ihr. Kalt und distanziert, so zumindest der erste Eindruck, doch den muss man als Leser schnell verwerfen. Sein Charakter offenbart sich nach und nach, wie die Schichten einer Zwiebel, und was dort zum Vorschein kommt ist uhlala. Die Chemie zwischen den beiden hat mir den Atem genommen und das Knistern war gewaltig, so dass ich es bis in die kleinste Zelle gespürt habe. Eine Sucht entstand, der man sich nicht verwehren kann. Die Dynamik der Connors war auch wieder spürbar und schuf erneut ein Gefühl von zuhause, zu gern wäre ich ein Teil von ihnen.
Es tut weh sie gehen zu lassen, auch wenn ich weiß, dass sie ewig in meinem Herzen weiterleben werden. Es gibt abschließend eigentlich kaum Worte zu sagen, als „Echt, humorvoll, emotional, packend“. Und wer diese Reihe noch nicht kennt, sollte das unbedingt ändern.
Fazit
Ein perfekter Abschluss einer Reihe, die die Facetten des Lebens zeigt und eine Familie hervorbringt, zu der man mit jeder Faser seines Seins gehören will. Mit Ehrlichkeit, Authentizität, Humor, Sinnlichkeit, Echtheit und Welcome Feeling rast Layla Hagen durch die Herzen der Leser und schafft eine unstillbare Sucht. Jeder Band ein Genuss für Sinne und Empfindungen. Gefühlvoll, emotional, herzlich, knisternd. Mehr kann eine Reihe wahrlich nicht bieten, um zum Highlight zu werden.

Layla Hagens Worte sind eine zärtliche Liebkosung, authentisch, voller Gefühle und Emotionen. Ich liebe ihren Stil und lechze mit jedem Wort nach mehr. Kann nie genug von ihr bekommen. Layla Hagen ist eine jener wenigen Autorinnen, die ohne großes Tamtam oder Drama auskommen, um Herzen höher schlagen und den Puls rasen zu lassen. Allein durch ihre Protagonisten, die auch unbedacht handeln, Ecken und Kanten haben, wird diese Reihe lebendig und realistisch. Hailey ist die zweitjüngste in der Connor Familie und ich mochte sie schon in den vorherigen Bänden.
Reid, das krasse Gegenteil von ihr. Kalt und distanziert, so zumindest der erste Eindruck, doch den muss man als Leser schnell verwerfen. Sein Charakter offenbart sich nach und nach, wie die Schichten einer Zwiebel, und was dort zum Vorschein kommt ist uhlala. Die Chemie zwischen den beiden hat mir den Atem genommen und das Knistern war gewaltig, so dass ich es bis in die kleinste Zelle gespürt habe. Eine Sucht entstand, der man sich nicht verwehren kann. Die Dynamik der Connors war auch wieder spürbar und schuf erneut ein Gefühl von zuhause, zu gern wäre ich ein Teil von ihnen.
Es tut weh sie gehen zu lassen, auch wenn ich weiß, dass sie ewig in meinem Herzen weiterleben werden. Es gibt abschließend eigentlich kaum Worte zu sagen, als „Echt, humorvoll, emotional, packend“. Und wer diese Reihe noch nicht kennt, sollte das unbedingt ändern.
Fazit
Ein perfekter Abschluss einer Reihe, die die Facetten des Lebens zeigt und eine Familie hervorbringt, zu der man mit jeder Faser seines Seins gehören will. Mit Ehrlichkeit, Authentizität, Humor, Sinnlichkeit, Echtheit und Welcome Feeling rast Layla Hagen durch die Herzen der Leser und schafft eine unstillbare Sucht. Jeder Band ein Genuss für Sinne und Empfindungen. Gefühlvoll, emotional, herzlich, knisternd. Mehr kann eine Reihe wahrlich nicht bieten, um zum Highlight zu werden.

I don’t like the male MC. He’s one of the male MC tropes I can’t stand, the one where the male MCs are overbearing, have no sense of boundaries and regularly try to intervene/control with the fem MC’s life (often making calls to her job or her boss to get stuff changed around) to better fit his idea of what would make her “most comfortable”. They also tend to get very seriously involved very quickly and want to get wrapped up in the fem MC (and for her to do the same) so that they act like a couple that’s been together for a few months versus a few days. They’re steam rollers that don’t heed when a fem MC tells them to back off (either during courting or when she voices her objection to interference), and when she barks at him, male MCs in this trope will often distract from her anger with sex or by sexualizing her because “she’s beautiful/sexy when she’s angry” while never actually acknowledging any wrong doing or apologizing.
And the fem MCs tend to be the perfect compliment to this trope. Complimentary fem MCs are under the guise of being strong women who take no shit but never actually hold the male MC accountable for his pushiness and blatant disrespect of her boundaries. So arguments are started and dropped, started and dropped. With no resolution.

This book has all that and a bag of chips. Male MCs like this turn me off and a lack of other vivacious characters makes it impossible for me to get into the story despite my dislike of the male MC. I’ve read too many books like this to feel confident my opinion will change at the end and I’m 3 hours (audiobook) too far from the finish line to push through anyway. I’m good.

Je suis en train de devenir addict aux séries de Layla Hagen. J’enchaîne très rapidement ces livres depuis quelques temps car ce sont vraiment des lectures détentes et c’est ce que je recherche en ce moment. « The Connor Family » fait partie de mes lectures cocooning et j’avais hâte de lire ce sixième et dernier tome tout en ayant un pincement au coeur sachant que j’allais dire au revoir à cette famille que j’adore. Dans ce tome, on suit Hailey, l’une des plus jeunes de la fratrie, qui travaille dans les relations publiques. Elle est appelée pour aider Reid à gérer son image suite à sa séparation avec une actrice connue. Mais Reid n’est pas très coopératif. Il est introverti et déteste parler de sa vie privée surtout aux médias. Mais la situation ne lui laisse pas le choix surtout quand sa famille y est mêlée. Et il faut dire que son attraction pour Hailey le convainc d’accepter son aide même s’il n’a pas été très sympathique avec elle lors de leur première rencontre… Il fait tout pour se rattraper, et alors qu’Hailey se concentre sur le scandale auquel il fait face, lui fait de son mieux pour la charmer et lui laisser une chance même s’ils semblent être de parfaits opposés…
Ce tome clôt très bien cette série avec une super histoire et des personnages attachants.
Reid est introverti et n’aime pas étaler sa vie privée mais il est prêt à tout pour protéger sa famille et ceux qu’il aime. Il est très loyal, protecteur, attentif et romantique.
Hailey quant à elle est très fun et déterminée. Elle ne se laisse pas marcher sur les pieds (ce qui vaut mieux dans son métier) mais cache malgré tout une très grande sensibilité.
Ce couple est aussi drôle qu’attachant avec une relation très romantique et douce.
La trame va toujours droit au but avec une atmosphère chaleureuse et familiale. J’ai eu deux tout petits bémols: j’aurai voulu voir un peu plus les Connor surtout que c’est le dernier tome sur cette famille, et ensuite un des points soulevés depuis le premier tome n’a pas été résolu et c’est un petit peu dommage.
Mais en dehors de cela, ça reste une excellente série que je recommande vraiment si vous cherchez à vous détendre avec des personnages drôles et attachants. Je l’ai adoré de bout en bout et cela ne m’a donné que plus envie de poursuivre ma découverte des oeuvres de Layla Hagen je n’ai donc pas perdu de temps à entamer sa série « Very Irresistible Bachelors« , dont mon avis sur le premier tome sera très prochainement en ligne.

And just like, the Connor family series is over. Layla Hagen has not once disappointed me. I can totally count on her to write stories that will make me fall in love with men in her stories. Reid was the perfect man for Hailey. And Hailey was the perfect woman for Reid. Reid was charming, compassionate, and a dominating alpha. He was the perfect mix of a gentleman and a dirty mouthed man. Why hasn’t Will and Paige picked a wedding date already?! I’m hoping that we will get another story or even a novella because even though all the Connor’s are paired off, several haven’t made it down to the chapel. I love everything about the Connor Family series. I loved seeing each of the Connor’s falling in love, and seeing their families and their interactions. 4.5 stars.

I had forgotten how much I love this series and am kicking myself for taking so long to read the last book in the series. Reid and Haley were my favourite!! I just adore Layla’s writing. It is the perfect mix of sweet, sexy and heartfelt.
Haley is the last of Connor siblings to find love. She is a force to be reckoned with. I loved her confident, positive attitude even though she struggled a lot after the death of her parents. She is amazing at her job as a PR agent and has a huge heart especially when it comes to her family.
Reid and Haley meet after an ex girlfriend drags his reputation through the mud after she cheated and caused a scandal for him. He is a successful, wealthy hotelier and Haley immediately connects with Reid the moment they meet. She doesn’t fall at his feet like he expects and he was drawn to her sass and confidence right from the start.
Reid and Haley were compatible in every way. They fit into each other’s family’s well, they have similar personalities and not to mention their off the charts chemistry. I couldn’t get enough of them.
The epilogue was my favourite! My eye stung with tears of joy and happiness for the entire Connor family. It is bittersweet to end the series but look forward what else the author puts out next because I know it was be just as great as this series has been.
