This is a mashup between Walton's scholarly commentary and a modern lay-persons take on the Genesis sagas. Ask the title suggests, this work traces the covenant from it's origins to the consummation, to man's rejection, and to God's promises of a new and better covenant. There are twelve segments that work through about 3-4 chapters of Genesis per segment with concluding questions that summarize and help the reader think through what they just read in scripture.
My wife and I started going through this series and have been very impressed. There are challenging questions for both the novice and the experienced Bible reader and give good insight into the biblical topics.
