Mr. Keller does his usual competent job with this next batch of true crime stories. There are 18 this time, most of which are unknown to me. There’s a mix of older and newer cases, with mainly male criminals and only a couple of females.

The victims are varied and the methods are very different also. Those that involve children are especially heartbreaking. Several have fairly incompetent investigations, while others have smart people really investigating and identifying the right criminals. While these are all very short summaries of the cases, they still impart the important elements.

Well done, with only a very few grammatical errors… KU read.

Keller’s Murder Most Vile books are my favorite of his various series. In these he is able to look at all types of murder, making the stories more interesting due to their variety. In this book I felt that Mr Keller let his hair down a little in writing up a few of the cases in a more sociable manner. He did give us all the facts and brought us up to date, but the writing was more spontaneous. I liked it a lot. If you’re interested in murder and mad men /women, give these a try.

I highly recommend this book to all true crime enthusiasts. Very interesting, and very well written. I really like Keller's writing style because he stays with the facts of the cases.

Suffer the little children to come unto Me.

The latest volume of Murder Most Vile is always eagerly awaited at our house. It's safe to say that I am never disappointed. Volume 45 contains some fresh stories, but too quickly I'm reading the last page.

The cases involving children are the most disturbing. People should be intensely examined before being entrusted with the care and safety of a child, with regular follow-ups. Social workers are too lax and easily diverted, as in the torture death of Sylvia Likens. She's not included in this volume, but I will never forget her.
