Glass Hearts & Unspoken Goodbyes is a collection of poetry that celebrates love and the journey through it and back to it that connects us all.
A follow-up to Kayla McCullough’s breakout debut, Glass Hearts & Broken Promises , Glass Hearts & Unspoken Goodbyes is here to guide readers through the transformative magic that lies buried in heartbreak and the pain that arises when love spills over into unrequited. From suffering to self-empowerment, this collection is broken into chapters along the journey that remind you to embrace the storm, the hurt, and the rescue, on your way to finding hope in tomorrow.
Love sustains, and we must do everything we can to return to it and preserve it.
“One day, when you least expect it You’ll realize your worth And nothing with ever cage Your heart again”
This quote sums up this book perfectly. It’s a reminder to stay a little longer, fight a little harder, and to be patient when times are tough. You’re not alone in this fight and that’s what makes this book beautiful.
I wish I would have read this book back in 2019/2020. It would have helped me a lot. It talks about heartbreak and grief. As she was going through a heartbreak she lost her father and was going through grief as well.
This line is written on my wrist in pen and if I were ever to get a tattoo, this would be it. Kayla captures grief, love, and hope in a way that comforted me. My copy is annotated and will be well loved. One I'll return to often.
This is a book to treasure. Maybe today, one could have thought words like this, but one day, one may need to hear them, and maybe there won't be one to speak them. So I treasure it. For that. I am the type of person who forgets easily to love herself.
262 pages of different ways to speak of love. I like to open and read a random page on a cloudy day, it can make a difference. Love that is found even in hurt and in lessons of letting go.
Not only love for others but towards ourselves as well.
I absolutely loved “Glass Hearts & Broken Promises” by this same author so I was so excited when I saw this release! This was yet again another beautiful collection of poems. There was a mixture of grief and heartbreak poems. All written so beautifully and raw. There were definitely a few that made me tear up! I loved the different sections this was broken up into and this little illustrations were all so cute.
This book is perfect for anyone who might have recently lost someone or something. Whether it's a friend or family member that has recently passed away, a relationship that has come to an end, or even a pet that has crossed the rainbow bridge, this will help you process the emotions that come with loss.
Kayla your are amazing. This book shift my perspective of goodbye and you turn it into something I never expected to see. For those who seek the journey of healing, self love this is for you. For those who feel alone, lost and empty, pick up this book and enjoy the journey. Trust me.
