This is an excellent primer, as advertised, on everything you need to know about economics. I read this book to become more familiar with seemingly complex economic concepts related to investing having never taken an economics class in college. I gained the knowledge I hoped for, as well as much more. This book is far reaching in the topics it discusses and opens up doors to further study on economic concepts I didn't even have the vocabulary to discuss or think about.

The write should not involve too much of emotional thinking in a 'How to' book

It’s all there. It’s written as a quick, easy to read, overview. It isn’t going to make economics fun and exciting but it covers the basics.
