Tanjiro and the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps are back and facing their greatest challenge school life!
Welcome to Kimetsu Academy, a school attended by the most exceptional students you’ve ever seen! This comedic spin-off of international smash hit Demon Kimetsu no Yaiba pits Tanjiro, Nezuko, and all the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps against the trials and tribulations of student life.
Fall’s here, but things are only heating up at Kimetsu Academy! Halloween turns scarier than ever when one of the Twelve Kizuki wanders into a spooky water balloon battle, though that’s got nothing on how frightening it is when the principal sees the state of the teachers’ lounge. Then there’s trouble with a demon selling snake oil, all while Mitsuri explores mascot art, a terrible drawing is misunderstood, and Uzui’s wives check the cafeteria’s suggestion box.
I always love diving back into stories with these wonderful characters. There’s just something about all of these characters that provide a sense of comfort to me and make me immensely happy. I was really pleased to see Suma in this story and I loved seeing Kanao’s parts in her short story.
This volume in particular focuses a lot more on the demons than the previous two volumes. I think this modern story provides a unique opportunity to explore the demons and their relationships in a really unique way.
I wish this story had more depth though. While they’re fun and quick to read, the plot never sticks with me very long after reading each volume, so Kimetsu Academy is very much a series that I love just for the characters.
This volume of our SD (Small deformed) characters focuses a lot more on the demons. I think it adds flavor to the volume and really gives you a taste of some of the other characters. As the book is a side story/spin off with cute versions the depth of the stories is not as heavy as the main story, but the adventures are fun and filled with some good jokes and moments that make you smile. Seeing the characters alive and active in a different environment is definitely still as interesting as when this book was introduced. I don't know how many more volumes they will do, but this is very creative and Natsuki Hokami should be praised for this excellent addition to the main Demon Slayer world. From teachers cleaning the offices to making manga adventures you will be entertained.
afro’s (which did kind-of eat) and tanjio’s very questionable disguise???? despite that, i really enjoy being reminded of this series and seeing my fav’s in a modern-day setting. the cleaning day chapter was very hilarious and akaza ily
This is my fave volume so far. I love the cute art style. Okay we do get induced to Tengen's wives but omg I was like who? But it is kinda cool. I also love how Tengen is the only teacher joying in with the water balloon fights that was funny and it kind of makes senses as well.
La pelea de halloween esta divertida, lastima que las cosas no salen como lo planearon. Todos ayudan a Kanao a buscar algo que es importante para ella. Las esposas de Usui y su caja de sugerencias
Walaupun vol ini gak sengabrut 2 vol awal, tapi tetep asik sih buat diikuti. Apalagi si Kokushibo yg nyusup ke akademi biar dpt doorprize utk masuk ke rumah ubuyashiki (demi si muzan), juga pas para guru bersih2 ruang kantor yg berujung peledakan gak sengaja 🤣 Doma sama Hakuji juga ngakak sih mana Hakuji denial kalo dia kenal sama Doma demi pny kehidupan lebih baik setelah menikah 🤣
