Ayano Yamane (native name: やまねあやの) is one of Japan's most popular Boys' Love genre manga artist.
She debuted as a professional manga artist in 1996 and since then has published several BL series and illustrated many light novels. She is one of the top selling BL manga artists in Japan. Her most successful work is the Finder series.

This had more twists and turns than a labyrinth. Akihito’s memory loss didn’t go anywhere, nor is Ryuichi any closer to capturing the crazy doctor. But he’s changed a lot and he’s willing to sacrifice everything for Akihito. There are too many bad guys to keep count of, but hopefully a few less after this one, though the cliffhanger ending didn’t bring any clarity to that. I’m dithering between four stars because this didn’t lead anywhere, and five stars for all the action.

There are two extra stories, one about Ryuichi’s past with Alec and Maxim, and a cute fantasy story about Ryuichi and Akihito turning into bunnies—with predictable consequences.

I read this too fast and now I have forever to wait for the next volume. The author promises this story arc will finally come to an end there. Here’s hoping.

Asami is running all over the world to get Akihito back,because Alec delivered him back to the evil doctor that brainwashed him.

We see a bit of backstory of Asami's youth in the military and how certain characters are interconnected.

Yaoi from one of the top creators in the genre.
Finder is a totally addictive gay soap opera in the Yakuza world. Japanese Yakuza boss Asami has finally got his beloved boy, photographer Akihito back - however Akihito's been addicted to a drug and has no memory of Asami! Asami moves heaven and earth to get the antidote from villain chemist Simon Novak. And yes, Akihito manages to get kidnapped again......

Bonus stories include a nice flashback into Asami, Alexandre & Maxim's merc days, and a PWP bit of smut-fluff where Akihito & Asami get turned into bunnies.

If you like Yaoi you're pretty much going to adore this series. It's sexy and the artwork is beautiful. It has melodrama in spades, tonnes of action and lots of pretty boy pairings in the supporting cast - fan favourite Fei-Long (Chinese boss) is still with Mikhail (Russian mafia) and we have Alexandre & Maxim.

If I'm being picky, and why this volume dropped a star, is because Akihito is very much a damsel in distress here with little agency - I know he's drugged and this is very much part of this plot arc, but I prefer him being a bit more spunky and challenging to the strong and more reserved Asami. Still compulsively readable, but not my favourite volume.

Gah - another cliffhanger!! You're killing me, Smalls! Sex is the only thing that helps Tajaba remember Asami, but his body is weakening due to witvseawal. Asami makes a deal with the mysterious Maxim to get the antidote to the drug Takaba was brainwashed with. Only, Maxim ends up hostage to the mad scientist who demands Alec betray Asami and bring Takaba to him. Fei Long and Mikhail come along for another raid...all three in dapper suits at a dangerous party. Asami will do anything to make Takaba safe, but an enemy will do anything to kill him & Asami. The fate of all our "heroes" is left hanging after an explosion!

This volume expands on the plot a lot, revealing enemies and motivations. Frenemies Fei Long and Asami continue to be delightful, and Asami's love for Takaba has become obvious. He even admits to going soft! The volune has 2 bonus stories: the first provides background on Asami, Alec and Maxim (setting up a relationship between Macim and Alec) and a cute, sexy story where humanity suddenly develops rabbit ears & tails - and Takaba and Asami get horny about it. This continues to be my favorite Yaoi series.

Another excellent edition to the series! We got new backstory which was great. But another cliffhanger!! I honestly can't wait for the climax of this arc! The payoff is so going to be worth it! My favourite spread with the suit page though !! How incredibly extra but incredibly Fine at the same time! And damn straight the F is capitalized!!
