“ The cosmic struggle has always been about your soul. The soul is the most precious element in the universe, Rob. It is what creates life. ”

With those words, Colonel Rob Neville realizes that life in the universe is not okay, that his reluctant appointment as Earth's Ambassador for Alien Affairs is not a dead-end job, and that InfinET is anything but an ordinary alien.
Part philosophical science fiction and part social satire, “After InfinET” is a thought-provoking adventure through time and space. Tracing the evolution of humanity from the Big Bang to present-day problems, “After InfinET” is a rousing adventure through space, time, and around the globe. “After InfinET” is a timeless tale of cosmic consequences and a stark warning that humanity once again stands on the threshold of the End of Times.

Two thousand years ago, an alien named InfinET showed up on Earth to warn everyone that humanity was on the edge of being destroyed by an apocalypse. She also foretold that homo sapiens were about to evolve into another species. Colonel Rob Neville is surprised to discover that InfinET will only communicate with him. He becomes Earth’s Ambassador for Alien Affairs. They work together while he is evolving into his higher self.

Eventually, they leave Earth for two months, which turns out to be two thousand Earth years. The apocalypse happens while they are gone, and many of the survivors struggle to continue working on building their God Receptors. While different groups form, the Gabrielites and the Bodiests are the largest. At first, they worked against each other but when the evil Clan of the Poohbear Dynasty started rising they knew they had to unite in a cold war against them. They created the Infinite Clans of Eternity (ICE) so that they could work together to help society develop their God Receptors and continue to evolve. They want to take the power away from the Poohists who hope to destroy all that is good. The Poohists want the people to de-evolve. ICE must quickly eliminate this enemy so that humanity can be saved.

“After InfinET” is divided into three books. The first two are “God is Missing and They Think I’m to Blame” and “Return to InfinET. These contain portions of books that were previously published. Having read “InfinET,” I feel that these first two sections do a great job reviewing what had previously been published. I enjoyed getting a refresher before reading the third book in the section which is, “InfinET Forever.” Readers should not be daunted by the size of this book. Once they start reading, they will see this extraordinary narrative is fast-paced and difficult to put down.

“After InfinET” is an amazing work of science fiction created by author Tom Milton. In addition to the creative science fiction elements, there are also thought-provoking concepts that include philosophical contemplations and social commentary presented through satire. I found the social commentary aspect to be unnerving because many of the issues currently taking place continue two thousand years later. I know this is fiction, but it made me think that humans really need to get their act together to resolve issues that we are facing today, or humanity will continue to experience ramifications well into the future. Seriously, I think if I were an alien traveler, I would skip this planet. Milton really does a beautiful job blending spiritual, religious, philosophical, and scientific concepts into a fictional account.

The characters are all well-developed and multifaceted. It was easy for me to visualize each one based upon their description and their personal characteristics. The alien InfinET was wonderfully described as she changed her appearance. The settings were illustrated with words, in vivid detail.

Fans of science fiction will love “After InfinET.” Readers who want a tale that makes them think outside the box about a variety of topics, including religion, spirituality, politics, and philosophy will love reading this. I look forward to more works by this gifted author.
