The show is over, but I’m not giving up on our love without a fight…
The deadly hit television show The Reject Project may have stopped filming, but that doesn’t mean we’re done fighting for our lives. We’ve been abandoned on the island while war wages on the mainland, and Kira’s been kidnapped by a dangerous scientist.
When I launch a rescue party to save her, we make the sickening discovery that Simon’s experiments are more terrifying that we imagined. Somehow, we have to stop him and figure out a way off the island.
And even if we reach Fangmore City alive, there’s no guarantee we’ll be able to protect ourselves and our loved ones from the brutal pack warfare or settle the score with the show’s producers.
Worst of all, Kira is starting to doubt our relationship because of others’ disapproval. The entire world may be against us, but I intend to show her that our love is worth fighting for, even if it kills me…
Honest feedback— I read book 1 before the others were released and absolutely fell in love with it where I could not wait those few months for book 2 to be released, the day book 2 came out I downloaded it on my Kindle since I have kindle unlimited, however I did not love it as much. Yes I love Kira and Wyatt but some of the other story line was a little too bizarre where I would roll my eyes. But once again I couldn’t wait until February when book 3 was due to release, then a few days ago I saw it was coming out on Jan 20th and made sure to download it to my kindle when I woke up. Once again I felt there was too much crazy going on with this book, I loved the main characters but like book 2 y’all didn’t go into detail with them like book 1. It was like oh plot plot plot. I have tried to read both Skye Wilson and Lindsey Devin books separately and they both don’t hold up to other wolf shifter books at all, then I learned each “author” was a group of writers and that made it worse on them not being able to achieve greatness. Research is always key! Research other books and don’t get into bizarre plots that make your readers raise their brows or roll their eyes many times while reading.
PROS - action is always good - looked forward to HEA.
CONS - too many villains. There was Von, showrunners, Simon, Jayson, Heline, upper packs and Tranquility counsel. It caused me not to be as excited about the takedowns. - the rescue of Kira from Simon’s lab was glossed over. - never a big fan of witches, wizards, etc. There seems to b a spell or potion for everything. - Wyatt’s past and reunion with dad was let down. It seemed unnecessary. On top of that, his past sucked but it could have been worse. - ending was wrapped up quickly and was anticlimactic.
Fated Mates Paranormal Romance Brothers Best Friend Fake Romance Friends to Enemies to Lovers Dual POV
I really enjoyed the entire series for these books and was hooked from day 1. There was romance, action, life and death situations, drama, heartbreak and some of the characters made me chuckle with their banter back and forth. Backstory - - Kira is a rare alpha female and we find out a little more background in this third and final installment about how that all came to be. Her mate rejected her on her mating ceremony and propelled her into making a decision to try to save not only her reputation but also her pack by signing up to be on a reality tv show called The Reject Project that is a cross between the Bachelor and Survivor but where contestants aren’t voted off the island but is “to the death” like in Hunger Games. Not only is Kira supposed to be finding a new mate in all the alpha male contestants but surviving the challenges that are deadly in every facet. Wyatt who was not only her co-worker but her brother’s best friend, signed on to protect Kira. Wyatt has always secretly had a thing for Kira but as the show goes on, they both realize that they are in love with the other but are desperate to protect each other in going out of their way to get the other off the island and to safety. The final male contestant shows up only to be the brother of the guy that rejected Kira and says how he always thought the mating’s were messed up and it was always supposed to be him with Kira. Then a new female lead is brought into the show as a way for the showrunners to mix things up. No one on the island knows that they know each other so when that is revealed things get dicey between Kira and the alphas that have been vying for her attention and some of the others start to turn on both Kira and Wyatt. Kira and Wyatt discuss how they think there are issues with the whole fated mate procedures and that part of that is what is messing up their world and causing them to fight and be on the brink of war. When Von tries to force Kira into a heat (without her knowledge) by drugging her, Wyatt loses it and attacks Von giving Kira a moment during a live episode to throw out their theories to the world. The backlash is utter chaos as the staff abandons the island, letting down the wards while fleeing and leaving Kira and all the other contestants behind. This third book “His Rejected Mate” evolves adding new characters and more drama with mad scientists, former rejects that are hiding on the island and war on the mainland. Kira and the remaining guys try to stay alive while also trying to figure out how to get off this island and get home to help their families. Chelsey reconnects with her former mate and things from the upper packs come to light on how they have been manipulating things. I loved the twists and turns and the surprise bad guys. The newest addition of multiple goddesses to the mix really stirred things up. Family dynamics were tested, new romances were found, and justice was met. This was an absolute page turner, and I couldn’t put it down. ARC was provided by Booksprout, and this is my honest review.
I actually loved the idea of this series! It was such a cool concept mish mash of The Hunger Games, The Bachlorette, Survivor, and Lost all wrapped into one. There were twists and turns all over the place that I did not see coming! Kara was annoying though. So like, I get that she felt responsible for her pack, sure that made a little sense, but how in the world did she actually think that her message on the TV actually make the war worse. They already knew that the war was happening! Her whole martyr thing was honestly annoying. When she wasn't claiming the weight of the world on her shoulders I thought she was such a badass warrior woman! It was awesome that she didn't really need anyone to save her, I was happy though when she would let Wyatt help her out. And how freaking cute he was with having her back even when he didn't want to acknowledge why! I am happy that they FINALLY established their relationship and that they ended up being real fated mates! That was a happy surprise!
All in all I did enjoy this series, it was just way longer then it needed to be. There were for sure some unnecessary parts added just for more words maybe?

I thought this was the best book in this series. I admit that the FMC was really irritating in Book #1, a little less so in Book #3 and she's even rather likeable in this book. Thing is, I don't want to have to wait 3 books in until I connect with a character.
This book ties up all the loose ends nicely. Although, I found myself hoping for a novella that would be an epilogue of sorts. Something several years down the road, when we can really see all the societal changes that are hinted at in this book. I'd also love to get an update on some of the characters we came to know. How did their lives change/end up? And just a quick sentence each wasn't enough.
For me, this author is kind of hit and miss - and it's usually due to the characterization of the FMC. She does have a lot of good stories though. If you dislike a FMC that mistakes "bitch" for "strong" then you probably won't like this book. If that doesn't bother you, as long as the character shows some growth, you'll probably like it.
The plot of these stories is so different than the usual shifter story, with the added elements of the tv show and goddesses at play. It keeps you wanting to read to find out what happens next, and the spicy bits don't hurt either! 😜 I also really enjoyed the point if view from both main characters. The character development with them was deeper than I expected initially. The other characters were well developed too. It was hard not to have strong feelings for them but for different reasons. My only complaint is that all the books in this series need some more editing. There are grammar and spelling errors throughout. There's also clearly intended words missing in sentences sporadically. I'd have to read those a few times to piece it all together. This is a great story so I don't like that some if those simple fixes were so prevalent.
Very disappointed with this one. The writing quality absolutely plummeted with this last book. It desperately needed a better editor: Spelling mistakes (including misspelling Wyatt's name??--seriously??), missing words and punctuation. Additionally, the dialogue often felt awkward and stilted and most of the smut scenes felt out of place. The flow was not great. I'm not sure what happened, but it was definitely a huge let down.
Overall, I'm glad I read this series and finished this book. The ending did feel a bit rushed, but was satisfying overall. Despite not enjoying this particular book, I might consider reading more by these authors--the first book was phenomenal and I suspect the majority of the problems with this book stem from rushing the release.
You may have come across a similar plot before but I swear to you that you will not have read anything that can compare to this author. You could get lost in the plot twists, nuances and little strains that go here and there and yet you don't. The world is complex and there are a number of characters yet they are not rushed or squeezed in for the sake of the plot. Wyatt and Kira most definitely have the edge given that they are able to communicate so well and the whole thing keeps you on the edge of your seat. This has everything that you could hope for, subterfuge, intrigue, dirty dealings and action of all kinds!
This series of books will appeal to those who are - Open to Shifters, Fae and other outer worldly creatures. - Those that love a love story of epic proportions. - Those not opposed to reading steamy scenes. - Reading about characters that encompass all aspects of good and bad. Lindsay and Skye have combined writing styles in a captivating manner. I had read these books avidly and all ready grieving their finish. These books were addictive, amazing and fun; thank you to the Authors.
8 Wows ~Greatest love story I have read so far. signed by a 74 yrs old…
His rejected mate is the bloodiest, mysterious, loving est 3 book series. Lindsey and Skye’s imagination ran wild on the pages. Thank you so much. The characters, so many, are outstanding. You can feel their emotions. There is so much love, hate, prejudices and fears. This is a must read for readers that feel they are apart of the story. Thanks again. The lead character is a little bit of a bitch. 🫶🏾🫶🏿🫶🏽🫶🏼🫶🏻
XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED. The gods really make things worse when they meddle. First you have to realize they are meddling. Then you have to make it out alive to stop the repercussions from destroying and ending innocent lives. Kira and Wyatt are up to the challenge. If the can get off this dang island being controlled by a mad scientist. What's a little insanity amongst friends?
I really enjoyed this series and you need to read them in order so you know what is going on, the new books start at the end of the previous nook. I really liked that we got a lot of backstories on the different people in the book it just made it so much more interesting. Kira and Wyatt go through so much in these 3 books that I was glad that they get their hea. Definitely 💯% recommend this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book like the two prior way too long. If there would have been a story that would have been different but literally the constant descriptions of everything , laying around the people was just too much. The complete and utter editing errors, my pet peeve. And there were definitely timeline errors. I'm a detail oriented person so I can't read a book. That's all over the place.
This is all very trite tbh. I found this one particularly difficult to read as it was all just hitting every trope you could to get to the "and they lived happily ever after" which was a shame because the other 2 were quite fun. Still, it's alright for what it is. Even if Kira is an egotistical nightmare, (the whole world is my fault! Is it? Is it really?) And Wyatt is a bit of an AH.
All 3 books are entirely to long with a lit of fluff just to make it longer. The timelines are all over the place and the editing could use a twice over. I feel like this was written by 20 people with multiple ideas. I liked Wyatt and Kira. I also feel like the ending could have wrapped up differently and more clear on certain things that seemed to hold significance throughout the books.
Book #2 ends on a cliffhanger, and it is nice to get the answers and resolution that come with the end of the series. I appreciated a number of the characters in this series and how their personalities and reactions distinguished them from each other, especially in the contexts of survival and reality television. The final book was less of a page turner for me than the first two, and it took me longer to finish it. However, I left like it was a fitting end to the triology.
This series of books was very interesting. The twist being that the moon goddess being the bad guy.. a real shocker. I'd say the best series of books I've read in quote awhile. Very different twist of fated mates and goddesses was very refreshing. A+ to the author for an awesome read.
I liked this book the best out of the trilogy. It was a good balance between action, romance, and bond building. It ends with an HEA for the main characters and main side characters. I wouldn't mind seeing a book that covered more into after the war, like how the relationships between Eli and Kolton, J.D. and Leif, and Abel and his girlfriend.
This series is absolutely amazing. This third book is just... chefs kiss. All the books have been. You can't read this book without reading the other two, but why would you? You'd be missing out on some great writing and important parts of the story.
I enjoyed this series. I like books that leave me wanting more in a good way. This book left everything in a good place where if this is the end of the series, I would be satisfied. The book easily could have stretched out to at least one more book, or a spin off series. I look forward to finding other books by this author.
This entire series supprised me. I love the dynamic between Kira and Whatt. Enemies to lovers, Fated mates, brothers best friend, wolf shifters and other magical creatures. .. so many other great tags i can add to this.
I loved the play on a Shifter hunger games type of book.👌Chefs Kiss! 💋
What a great end to the trilogy! Loved all the twists and turns in the story, not what I expected when I started the first book. Highly recommend! Clearly need to read the books in order, not just this one, but you won’t be disappointed. Great characters, set building, and promotion of opposites attract!
Amazing story and great writing! One of the best book series I’ve ever read. The story was so original and you just fall in love with the characters. I had a truly love hate relationship with Von. I could see a whole book series written about him and his dating shows. I really enjoyed the book series and would absolutely recommend reading it.
Books 1 and 2 were much better than book 3. I felt like there were a lot of new characters randomly introduced and the whole plot kinda changed. I was glad to see how things ended for Wyatt and Kiara but this book just wasn't as good as the first 2.
Great series, I’m not sure why this is labeled as book 3 right now when it’s book 4. There are some glaring editing mistakes but I didn’t find them to detract much from the story. The plot and characters are so good that I found the mistakes easy to overlook.
And that's a wrap on the sick and twisted bored gods playing with the lives and shifters and the hierarchy of the packs reshuffling to new futures. A happy ending for Kira and Wyatt and all their friends. This was an amazing series!
I absolutely loved how this series ended! I'm in awe of the outcome. Kira, Zoe, Eli and even Chesley are some amazing badass women. And let's not forget all the hot alphas **sigh**
This series was great. It had so much action and characters like banshee and evil fae i never knew what to expect next. But it also had the romance and even some smut.
This entire series was great! This book wrapped everything up exactly like how I expected Kira and Wyatt would have handled it! I loved every page so much I wish I could read for the first time again!
