Such a wild and insane story! It’s written beautifully and has some crazy plot twists! It’s got a crazy love triangle too which makes it so much better. Highly recommend🤩🤩

What an amazing book. It was a huge page turner that kept you on the edge of your seat.
I particularly really loved the spelling out of the names of characters. With having dyslexia it’s difficult to sound out the words some of the time so having a little cheat sheet of how the names are pronounced was very helpful.
I found that the Souled ones is a cross between Percy Jackson and mythology rolled into one. Which is why I found this to be one of the best books that I’ve read in a long time.
Caspian is a young adult learning to navigate her way into a new role in her life that she never knew existed. While being an orphan to an extent and living with a family that just uses her to an extent as a babysitter and housekeeper. To sadly not being loved by her adopted parents to having to go to summer school that turns out not to really be summer school but an introduction into knowing who she really is.
I felt that Caspian went from being an introvert (much like I am) into a little bit less of one with the other friends who are also souled ones. That she met while going to summer schools.
I loved how the friends are introduced but I felt as though the relationships were rushed a tiny bit. With being an introvert I find it a little hard how Caspian adjusted as quickly as she did in some parts of the book to bring back into an introvert. However as a reader you have to remember that this is the first book that the author has written.
The love triangle that is going on seems a bit rushed between. But I can understand the rushing of it. The author is very talented and enthusiastic about telling the story that sometimes the excitement of writing the story can get away from you and well you just want to jump into the next part of the story leaving out some of the time for the romance to begin.
Souled Ones has basically everything that you need in a book . Especially from a person who as I’ve mentioned has dyslexia having a book that can grab and hold my attention and not make me feel as though I’m an idiot that can’t understand mythology like most of the books that I’ve read and or stopped reading. I couldn’t put this book down.

Pros ✅:
I didn’t know what to expect from this book, but it blew me away! It had a really interesting mythology attached to it. I also loved that it didn’t have a ton of romance. I felt like it had enough to hook me in, but not so much that it overwhelmed the story. This book had really nice characters as well. You could really feel each of their personalities as you read the book.
I’m also going to fan girl over Marzie for a second because, he is SO SWEET! By far my favorite character, but I highly suggest you read the book and decide your favorite character for yourself!

This book is the first in a series so the end leaves you with many questions. However, this can also be a good thing. I will definitely be reading the second one the moment it comes out!

This is an amazing YA book, especially for those just getting into fantasy. It eases you into the mystical world with it taking place in our world but there being fantasy all around. This book is also perfect if you love that little bit of romance but want to read about an amazing adventure. It will leave you obsessed. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I really liked the story idea of this. It was interesting. The one thing I wasn't liking was the love triangle. I felt it was rushed and didn't make sense when they all just met. One guy gave her his grandmother's family heirloom necklace after only knowing her a day and only speaking to her a couple times. The other guy grabbed her arm to see it and was being controlling of her. Once again, they didn't know each other, and she acted like all of this was okay. I would have liked it more if the relationships moved more slowly and naturally instead of insisting on them being a "family" immediately. It felt forced. The story itself though was fun. I was surprised by how gory and intense the injuries were though, and there were a lot. Overall, I liked it, and the ending was really good. I gave it three stars.
