I was do not expecting this! I cam right out of nowhere. And TRUST ME, I am so glad I didn't miss out on this installment!
Twisted Trials is a great title for this book, as p!it twist just jump out of seemingly nowhere. I was so caught up in the p!it twist and turns, along with the burning trials Briar was facing, I actually stopped reading and went back to the first book in the Global Outlaw Syndicate World series Fighting for her Love, too read it again to catch the clues I missed.
Apparently, my mind was so blown from starting tne conclusion and reading the 1st o er again, that I only picked up on 1... One single clue in the beginning. It wasn't until writing this review I just picked out a second clue I missed.
What truly threw me off my game was books 2 and 3. With no overlap of the first book, I just assumed these were individual stories in a series.
Dumb... dumb,dumb... Dumb
My hats off to you, author Cedar Rose. As you are the first author to snare me unaware in a few years. The curve ball conclusion was unexpected from you and it fried me.
