Heather Chase is back in the best story yet.
See The Fire, book 5 in the heather Chase FBI series is a nonstop rollercoaster ride that will leave you with several answers to questions raised in the previous books. Of course, there are still unanswered questions from the previous books as well as this book raising a few of its own. If you have read the previous books, this is a must read. A.W. Kaylen does an excellent job of keeping the reader off balance just enough to make them question who is on whose side and working for the betterment of whom. I have to say of the six books/stories I’ve read by this author See The Fire is by far my favorite and in my opinion the best of the six. This series has gotten better and better with each new episode, and hopefully it isn’t anywhere near done. I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book through BookSprout and chose to provide this review.

Agent Heather Chase - C is back! One case after another - only this story follows book 4’s Hunting C-60. With the death of C leader Bucky, Heather has lost her intuition mojo and it takes exhaustion and traveling through the rabbit hole to recalibrate her senses. Although she still suffers the effects of the mind psychology she is back on the hunt of finding a missing person of interest. What I like about these fictional crime stories is that it seems realistic and out of the box. She loses people close, so there are sad bits but so intense with the angst that I am left reeling. I feel the sadness but I am still waiting to see what our Heather will do with the conclusion’s unprecedented betrayal. Next book Invisible Criminals may reveal what shady secrets are being harbored, that our Heather will uncover.

A thrilling addition to the Heather Chase FBI Series, packed with suspense, action, and a complex web of mysteries. In this installment, FBI Special Agent Heather Chase takes on a shadowy terrorist group, The C, following a devastating fire and a string of high-profile crimes in New York City. The author's storytelling keeps you on the edge of your seat as Chase delves deep into the criminal underworld, facing ruthless mob bosses and a sinister cult on Ellis Island. The book combines gritty realism with witty humor, making it a compelling read for fans of hardboiled crime fiction and near-future thrillers. With a clock ticking and a private detective thrown into the mix, See the Fire promises an explosive showdown that will leave you eagerly turning the pages.

Whoa, See the Fire is a total rollercoaster! Picture this: FBI Agent Heather Chase, a mysterious cult, and a terrorist group called The C. I was hooked from page one! It's like watching an action-packed movie, but you're reading it. Heather Chase is such a badass character, and you can't help but root for her as she chases down these ruthless criminals. Plus, there's this private detective who's like a wildcard in the mix, and you know there's gonna be a fiery showdown. If you love crime fiction with a twist of humor and non-stop action, this book is a must-read. Seriously, it's like a burst of adrenaline on every page!

A brand new spin on things that makes you end up back where you started!
Who says the police and FBI don't learn new tricks?.. This was a new twist, as well as many things for Heather Chase. She has one partner, but works with another partner, then there is the mix of an old partner, who was charged previously, and had to leave, but is a private investigator now.
I love how Chase learns new ways of 'feeling' the next lead. This was a very good addition to the series, could have been read as a stand alone, but it is so much better reading in order.
Thank you, A.W. Kaylen for another great story!

Wow , we have more questions than answers in this fifth instalment of the series. Following FBI Special Agent Heather Chase as she chases the bad guys but who are the bad and who are the good guys? Hunting down an arsonist that is apparently linked to some high profile crimes that are rocking NYC. A web of intricate clues , a mob boss and a shadow sect of a Cult on Ellis Island . A perfectly riveting , edge of your seat read, that’s well written and well orchestrated descriptions gives the reader an immersive perspective.

With non-stop action, amazing twists and turns in the storyline, A.W.Kaylen has given us another excellent chapter in the Heather Chase FBI series. Many of the characters are those we have seen in past books in this series but it can be read as a stand-alone. That being said, reading the books in this series in order gives a tremendous richness to this story. The characters are well-crafted and the action believable. This is one of those books that are truly hard to put down. I highly recommend this for action, thriller and mystery buffs. I received an ARC and this is my honest evaluation of this novel.

Heather is still trying to lock down the elusive head of C and bring the bad guys to justice, but it's a spiral down a dark rabbit hole. I enjoy the Heather Chase stories. There's action and mystery with a bit of supernatural. Heather is an intriguing character and a wild card who gets things done. She fights the same fight all workers do with disparaging co-workers and a know it all boss. I feel for her.

Not quite everything is resolved at the end of this one, but leaves Heather with questions to mull over. Maybe the reader will question things too?

See the Fire is quite a ride. Action-packed. I like Heather Chase but she needs a little warmth. She has no life outside of the FBI. I'd like to see her loosen up a bit. She's a great agent and is totally devoted to going after the bad guys. The story has an interesting premise that might actually be true. Scary thought. Lots of twists. I couldn't figure out why there appeared to be two stories, but the author masterfully threaded all the fabrics until it made sense. I'd read more in the series.

A continuation of the previous book's story in the fight against C-60 (now C). A new age techno terrorist group. Like many other Heather Chase books, this is full of close calls, tragedy & plenty of action. However, in this book Heather is off her game. She can't seem to rely on her "6th sense" when it comes to solving crimes. Can't wait to see if C gets stopped before they cause more chaos and tragedy. Good police procedural, shoot outs, action and character development. On to the next one.

I received an ARC of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest review.

Heather Chase is continuing to try to find the answers in this book number 5 of the series. She is up against terrorism, the mob, cults and her own struggles as a agent.

A.W.Kaylen writes her stories with the realism to keep you believing, the humour to keep you entertained and the twists and turns to keep you turning pages with ends you won't see coming. These are everything you need when you are looking to read an action packed mystery.

This can be read as a stand alone as can her other books. Definitely looking to read the next book by this author.

A fiery agenda

The battle against the C bombers is not over with the death of Bucky as Heather Chase finds out. When secret documents are stolen from an FBI building, the FBI have to retrieve the documents. Heather Chase is up against a very clever opponent and it is someone she knows. A well crafted thriller with unforeseen twists. A page turner which had me rivetted and on the edge of my seat.

When a devastating fire breaks out at a Federal building FBI Agent Heather Chase is asked to hunt down the culprit. She investigates and finds out that it is all linked to crimes in New York , done by a group of terrorist called C. There is a lot of danger as the mob boss of a sinister group called the Ellis Island cult. A fast-pace full of action suspense thriller. I am on the ARC team and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers

Heather Chase is back again. This time she finds out that The C, which she thought was done and dead, has risen again to cause chaos and havoc. There's lots of action, suspense and mistrust in this thriller and perhaps a healthy dose of confusion. The characters were okay but could use more fleshing out during the story. All in all, it was a good rea.

Heather Chase, a federal agent is in charge a hunting down an arsonist, well written, complicated storyline. The characters were hard to follow. My bad, this is the first time reader of this series, might have been better if I had read previous books, hard to "get" the characters. Lots of twists, to through shade on the plot, but once I got the characters straight I was able to enjoy the read

This was an ARC read, this is my review.

This book is packed with action as others seem to have revived C , a mysterious cabal trying to create chaos. Lots of friends died and nothing is really resolved. There are plenty of twists and turns. My big surprise was the cabal substituting a senator with a imposter and getting away with it. How many other impostors are involved?

Another fast-paced, well-written, and full-of-action story in the Heather Chase Series. She is now working to find out who is behind the terrorist Group C. It'll not be an easy feat but she'll do it and the story will keep you reading through the night.

Heather Chase is still having a problem with the mind controlling group that she thought was gone when Bucky died but found out she was wrong. There is a fire and highly sensitive documents disappear and then several people die but Ms. Chases figures out the clues and takes care of business.

Allow two days (or an exceedingly long one) for this PG near-future follow-up to C-60. Reading the earlier book is helpful but not necessary to understand this chilling urban terrorist procedural.

Book 5 in the Heather Chase FBI series finds Heather still hunting down the mysterious "C"

A complex plot with plenty of twists and turns - just who can she trust?

An entertaining series that will suit readers who enjoy an action packed thriller with complicated plotting

This was a suspenseful thriller staring Agent Heather Chase on the hunt for answers and the truth. The new criminals are using mind control tactics, hacking and software along with criminals acts such as arson, theft, and kidnapping to take control. I found the storyline interesting but also frustrating as the "good" people fail to realize or admit what is happening. The author does this intentionally, I believe to advance the story. You will question who you can trust. I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to reading the next book in this exciting series.
