THE FOURTH LEVEL is the culmination of Jenkins 25 years of exploration into Inka Nature Mysticism. This is a primer on how humans can increase their Nature Intelligence. It is a book for general consumption that translates the worldview of the Q'ero Indians of Peru through seven Energy Principles that reveal how we are inherently connected to Nature. The book includes seven authentic Inka practices that allow the individual to experience each one of the Energy Principles personally and directly.
“The Fourth Level: Nature Wisdom Teachings of the Inkas” by Elizabeth Jenkins is a guide on how to apply the teachings of the ancient Inka Indians about how to live in harmony with nature.
“The Fourth Level” is one of three books Jenkins, an organic farmer, has written on Inka Nature Wisdom, a teaching that is more than 16,000 years old. The other two are “The Return of the Inkas” and “Journey to Q’eros”.
In the first part of the book Jenkins tells us how to experience the world as living energy, about the sacred exchange of living energy, a philosophy of complements instead of opposites, and a practice of healing by absorbing or eating heavy energy.
In the more advanced practices she teaches us how to receive the "nectars" (finest energies) from nature for self healing, as well as how we are related with nature literally from day one, due to the geographic location of our birth.
This book will be especially interesting to readers who are already invested in and interested in nature, such as members of Green Peace, the Audubon Society, Sierra Club, etc., and especially for those with an interest in Inka culture.
However, this is a fascinating book that I think almost all readers will enjoy reading as much as I did.
I would like to recommend this book to anyone interested in shamanism, energy work etc...Particularly if you are interested in Andean-Inka Path. Great book, concise, elegant and full of practical step by step exercises from an authentic Andean wisdom keepers. Delightful.
This wasn't my type of book. The writing was ok and someone interested in becoming one with nature and finding bliss will enjoy it. On another note, I did notice several editing and formatting errors.
