Three novels from the #1 New York Times bestselling author Chris Cleave. Little Bee This haunting, New York Times bestselling novel tells the story of an African refugee, nicknamed Little Bee, whose violent and courageous journey from a Nigerian beach to a suburban London home and back puts a stunning face on the worldwide refugee crisis. IncendiaryIn an emotionally raw voice alive with grief, compassion, and startling humor, a woman mourns the loss of her husband and son at the hands of one of history’s most notorious criminals. And in appealing to their executioner, she reveals the desperate sadness of a broken heart and a working-class life blown apart. GoldBuilding on the tradition of Little Bee, Chris Cleave again writes with elegance, humor, and passion about friendship, marriage, parenthood, tragedy, and redemption.

I haven't read Incendiary just yet, but I absolutely loved Little Bee and Gold. The author has a way of surprising the reader with human reality in a way that is increasingly more difficult to.
