My epinions review:

Finding an honest to God, helpful, informative and worth owning book on African-American natural hair care can be VERY difficult. Look no further this one is well worth adding to your hair care collection or just if you only want the one book.

Tulani Kinard shares her secrets of having a healthy natural head of hair and safe and easy alternatives to the harsh world of chemicals.

First she goes over the basics of hair, whats its made of why it feels how it does - everything you'd need to know to better understand your hair and it's needs.
Then she covers topics like baldness and what your hair dresser may not be telling you.

Then on to shampoos, conditions, proper PH balance.

And that's just the first three CHAPTERS!

This book I can say in all honesty that you will not regret buying.

This is a great book and there's so many other books just as great about maintaining good, healthy, natural hair. I love natural hair and I embrace my curls, I wish so many other women would as well. It's beautiful having your own individuality. Overall, hair doesn't define the woman, beauty is skin deep. The first step is learning to love who you are.

Hair care, yes. Styling guide, not so much. I learned a lot about how to care for different types of hair and available styles but wish I could have learned more. A good book to share, nonetheless.
