Someone killed Darius' father, elevating him to the head of the family. Bailey is from a rival family and has been caught on surveillance cameras taking contracts that could get her killed. The 3rd rival family (Mounts) took a contract out on her: 5.8m alive but 10m unalive. When D'Angelo Sr asks Darius and his men to find Bailey, he has no idea what they will want in return is her. Bailey has no idea that Genesis Club accepted a contract on her while she works for them. She finds out and tries to run, but is attacked right outside the club. That's when Darius, Augustine, and Victor show up. No one except the men of Genesis knows the Society 69's had her until recently. When the men find out, there will be hell to pay. But can they stop their search for Darius' father's killer? Will they choose her over their mission?


It's a personal ick, but I don't like *fluids* referred to as milk. The end left a few questions, but I enjoyed the book. I look forward to reading the rest of the series by different authors.

Penelope Wylde Dark Reign series are full of possessive, touch her and die, dangerous men and feisty, strong, I don’t need you to save me, women. She’s a master at world building, creating morally grey men who thrive on violence and bloodshed with a willingness to burn the world down for the women they love. Her books are always packed full of heat, suspense and twists.

The D’Angelos, Denattis and Mounts are the three most powerful families in Seattle, they rule the city. The head of the Denatti family, Darius, Augustine and Victor’s father, was murdered. Bailey’s Mother presumably, Bailey refuses to believe it, committed suicide. They are all enemies fighting over the same territory in Seattle.

Bailey knows Darius, Augustine and Victor, she grew up watching hours of video of them. Even though she is a mafia princess, she is still her father’s heir. She needed to know their enemies. But she has always wanted them, unknown to her, they long decided she would be theirs.

From here I’d be giving spoilers, so you’ll have to read the book. Like any good dark romance novel Bailey is in dire trouble and her villains are going to burn down the world for her. I love how Penelope writes her characters, how they all have to individually overcome their pasts, their fears and learn to trust and love again. Lust isn’t enough to overcome what faces them. Trust me, the lust is steamy and off the charts intense.

The plot twists don’t stop with the hea, you’ll be pleased. Penelope Wylde is the Mistress of Storytelling, combining everything we love into one deliciously dark romance.

Bailey is out of her depth and struggling to stay alive since her dad disowned her a year ago. Darius, Augustine , and Victor have her in their sights and there’s no way she’ll ever get away. Penelope Wylde does mafia with style: dangerous men and their strong women. This is action packed, guns and knives galore, and sexual tension that’s too hot to resist. Loved this addition to Penelope’s world!

Bailey knows these guys, has crushed on them, and studied them extensively. Assassins and her father’s enemies, but she finds herself at their mercy as they attempt to discover her secrets. I am amazed by her resilience and her guys’ patience! This is such a powerful story of learning to trust and live again: very steamy, intriguing, and off the charts intensity!.

I love this story of Bailey De’Angelos mafia princess who was disowned by her father and has been on the run for the last year. Enter the three men she hasn’t forgotten Darius, Augustine and Victor. They’ve come to collect her before the ink is dried on the contract to bring her in dead or alive. A father is ready to forgive her strikes a deals with the Denattis and sends his three enemies to collect his daughter anyway possible and he’ll grant them anything they want. What a captivating story the guys are all in, they want her, they’ll protect her and now to just convince her. I love the chemistry between them it all fire and sizzling! I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book begins the multi author Dark Reign series. I thought this mafia romance was a little dark and twisted but still had plenty of chemistry and passion. Bailey has been on her own since being disowned from the family. There is a contract out on her and the Denattis are going to do everything they can to get to her first. These four know a lot about each other and feel a connection even though they are enemies. There is danger, drama, violence, heartache, doubts and fear all intertwined with the heat and building love between her and Darius, Victor and Augustine. It was a good story with interesting characters in the type of world Penelope is accomplished at creating

I have a hitman after me, oh wait hitmen...not 1, not 2 but 3 dark and dangerous me are after me. Why did running away from a life that was never mine, cause such trouble? Bailey turns another corner as sees something she was not supposed to. Bring in Darius, Augustine and Victor, who are MAFIA...What? Bailey's dad truly loves his daughter and will fight to get her back. These sexy men are brutal, not to be messed with and are beyond protective. Great job once again Penelope and her awesome RH reads, but this was is so much darker and so much fun to read.

Darius, Augustine, Victor, and Bailey's story is a dark reverse harem romance. The guys are sent to find Bailey but go into protective mode when they see her. She's the daughter of their enemy and they've been wanting her for years. Her Twisted Beasts is a great addition to the multi-author Dark Reign 2 series and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

They have wanted Bailey for a long time and it is time to claim her. I like how Bailey handles herself and shares the interest and love of her three men.

This is part of the Dark Reign series but can be read as a standalone. They are all good though, you may want to read them all. Bailey has been living on her own since her father disowned her. Now there is a contract out on her life. Lots of action, danger and HEAT. Three sexy men, her families enemies have been hired to find her while dozens have been hired to kill her.lots of STEAM.

I don’t know what it is about these short stories that I love, but I really do. I feel like with bigger mafia romance or anything mafia related after about 200 pages they all end with the female love interest getting kidnapped with either her family doing it or her family being knowing about it.

This was a great reverse harem romance. It was set in the mafia world created by the author but it can still be read on its own. It had some darkness to it and I would recommend being mindful of the trigger warnings but if you like dark romance then go ahead and dive in. I for one loved it.
