Something far beyond comprehension is happening to an innocent sock puppet in a dark attic, there is only one kind of sock that can help. That sock has been sent as a last resort to try and save her. That sock is The Soxorcist.
A gross-out horror story by Jamie Kort, ripping off extreme horror master Matthew Vaughn and his stories, The Sexorcist and Sexorcism. Because fuck it.
The mind who brought us erotic sock puppet horror has decided to grace us with sock puppet erotic EXTREME horror and it's surprisingly effective. Short, weird, unrelenting, and also a little sad this story is more than its novelty.
Not often in life am I rendered speechless. In fact, I pride myself on my ability to hold a conversation.
This book has stolen all of my words. My kindle needs to be bathed in Holy Water from the purest rivers in Jordan. I may in fact hire a priest to pray over said kindle, then have it taken to confession just to cover all bases.
This is the third sock puppet story i've read and the second I got for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
A Puppet Scorned and Brad, Unwound were bizarre erotic short horror stories. This... the same can be said but it's EXTREME. Extremely bizarro erotic gross short horror story. It is so gross. So gross I feel like I want to throw up, not literally, but ew.
I don't know why I like to read stories that torture me like this. I need to bleach my brain after reading that. What has been read can not be unread.
If you like to be tortured by extreme and weird horror stories, check it out. Don't say I didn't warn you.
This is the third sock puppet story I've read, and I certainly hope it won't be the last.
The Soxorcist has come to a dark attic in the dead of night to save the soul of an innocent sock. And he's willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done...
Yikes! OMFG. This is a short tale but it packs quite the punch. It's depraved. It's gross. It's violent. It's also weird as fuck. The imagery alone is guaranteed to fill your brain with filth, and not even bleach will get that stain out.
Yet, I couldn't stop reading. Didn't want to stop because I needed to find out how this brutal ordeal was going to end. And it didn't disappoint. 😳
The writing is engaging. The subject matter delves deep into such bizarre places, that you end up getting dragged into the very depths of hell inside this dusty attic that holds more than one innocent victim. And so many terrible secrets.
If you want to be grossed out, check this out. If you want to read something so original you can't look away, check this out. Hell, if you enjoy odd, but unique stories from unexpected perspectives, then definitely read this!
No one tells bizarro erotic sock tales like Jamie Kort. He created this subgenre and rules supreme. 🧦🪡
PS. I love Sophie Ingley's cover, and it was cool to check out the other entries.
“Stoically he stands, just inside the threshold as the door slowly closes behind him. He has skills that few socks possess, and he has been sent to untangle a demon from the weave of an innocent, possessed sock. He is here to perform a soxorcism!”
Firstly, I love the cover art for this extreme horror Bizarro/satire short story. All the entries were fabulous and the winners of the competition definitely knocked the challenge out of the park.
Where to begin on the story itself…. Well it’s totally wild and graphic and somehow erotic??? I recommend you read Jamie’s other sock puppet stories first just so you have some context for this strange world (“A Puppet Scorned” & “Brad, Unwound”).
I can’t wait to see what Jamie thinks of next, these knitrotica tales just get more and more wild!
I will never not be impressed by Jamie's ability to make me interested in sock puppet sex. 😂 In all seriousness, his writing continues to be fantastic and the imagery always blows me away.
It’s time to suspend your disbelief yet again and travel alongside the world renowned Soxorcist to rid the world of a monster born of absolute evil. Jamie Kort continues our journey of sock puppet shenanigans with a healthy dose of extreme erotic horror in this Halloween special ripe with possession, love knitting and horrific ongoings. Aaand once again I’m left both speechless and needing more.
We’re thrown right into the thick of things as we witness the Soxorcist attempting to save an innocent sock from the clutches of a demonic entity hellbent on violence and destruction. Utilizing a concoction of deception, seduction and patience, the Soxorcist is willing to do whatever it takes to complete its task. Even if that means unraveling. My dear readers…this shit is weird….and so glorious.
You can’t help but laugh at the ridiculousness of these short stories, but they’re all strangely endearing in some way or another. However, this particular yarn is definitely not for the faint of heart. What we endure in this story is just vile. Obscene. Depraved. DISTURBING. And I loved every minute of it. Kort masterfully engages his audience with a narrative akin to an impending train wreck— you know something terrible is about to happen, yet you can’t look away.
Atmospheric, grisly and imaginative beyond belief, The Soxorcist is a parody of a parody, and the perfect slice of bizarro fiction if you’re in the market for some humor alongside the thrills and chills. Googly eyes and knitting needles galore, there’s no shortage of strangeness to thoroughly occupy your mind. To conclude I’m just going to leave you with a single quote that I hope will convince you that you need sock puppet erotic horror in your life.
“You douse yourself in lavender, Soxorcist, as if you think such ancient remedies work on me? I will f*ck the stench out of your weave before I unravel you.”
From the screwed-up mind of the man who brought us the sex lives of sock puppets, we are given the gift that just keeps on giving in The Soxorcist. Think of a rip off of the horror movie, The Exorcist. Being completely candour – I fucking loved it – it was funny, entertaining, well written and just plain disgusting. The description had me in a tug of war between laughing and being completely shocked. I had whiplash.
Books are my escape from a mad life. I don’t take them too seriously and I love it even more when books leave all the boundaries and expectations behind. I love a bizarro horror story and the Soxorcist gave me everything I needed at exactly the right time. But on the opposite side of the spectrum, books also give me hope – hope that my life won’t turn out quite as badly as some of the characters I read about. I don’t want to think about my socks shagging, or why that hole in the sock appeared. I just don’t but Jamie Kort has an imagination that I could only dream about having – it’s fucked up but unique and I really hope he continues to write stories that eek that kind of emotion out from his readers.
So yeah, this short story messes you up. It’s weird as shit, it’s depraved, disgusting. Jamie Kort doesn’t know how to write to comfy, easy horror – only the kind to make you feel deeply uncomfortable. So, if you’re looking for a short read in the run up to Halloween pick this up – it’ll leave you feeling more disturbed and uneasy than ever. Just pay attention the next time you stick your foot into your sock, you don’t know what lies within.
I have been a fan of Jamie Kort's for awhile, and his series of puppet horrorotica has always been my favorite. When he sent me an ARC of The Soxorcist I was delighted that it included a warning for being "more extreme" than the first two.
That's definitely the case. This installation is more vulgar, profane, and wool gore-drenched than the other stories in the series. The one thing that hasn't changed is the seam-splitting laughter that comes from the absurdly terrifying situations presented in this book.
If you have a very dark sense of humor, and don't mind getting squeamish about your yarns, then I simply cannot recommend this book enough.
"The Soxorcist looks suspiciously sideways, but also forwards at the same time because he has googly eyes. He is ready."--> This particular line had me dying at 3 am. Stupid and juvenile of me? Sure, but I don't care. Love this damn book soooo much!
It's easily one of the most bizarre, vile, disturbing, and yet brilliant things I've read this year. If you thought sock puppet scorned was unhinged.... you have no fucking clue.
Sock puppet erotica... the genre I didn't know I needed. Seriously though, crazy ass content aside, Kort is a great writer.
This has also inspired me to check out The Sexorcist, which if this tale is an indication of what I am in for.... I can't wait!!
This was disturbingly hilarious. Gore and possessed socks. I never knew how wonderful the two could go together. This series was a pleasure to read and itched a weird corner in my brain. Disturbing in the best way. Your brain both terrifies and fascinates me.
Did you read A Puppet Scorned, or the prequel Brad, Unwound, and think to yourself - I wish these stories were really demented and completely horrific in ways you never thought possible from a story about sock puppets? Yeah, me neither. Thankfully, Jamie Kort has decided to give us exactly what we never knew we wanted, and it is everything you'd expect from a story ripping me off, and also much worse. Seriously, this story is a wild ride, I commended Jamie for his descent into depravity. I think this story is going to wow a lot of people.
I did not enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the previous 2 books in the series This was a bit different, in that there was not as much erotica as in the previous 2 books The premise of this book was that a puppet was possessed by an evil. Another puppet had the ability to remove evil from puppets The story revolves around this exorcist removing the evil from the possessed puppet It was an interesting story, but not what I was expecting If you read the previous 2 stories, then you should not miss the last story of the series
“Soxorcist: A sentient sock puppet who expels or attempts to expel an evil spirit from a possessed sock by initiating a sensual, needle-fucking ritual called a soxorcism. There are a surprising amount of fluids involved in a soxorcism.”
I’m still processing wtf I just read 🤣 This book is hilarious, bizarre, disturbing beyond-belief and filled with copious amounts of gore. Oh and there’s also some smut thrown in the mix. Yes, with sock puppets. Trust me when I say that it’s actually way more WILD than it sounds 😳😂🧦💦🩸
This book is not to be taken seriously and intended for laughs and gagging purposes only. Let’s just say, I had my fair share of both😂🤢
I’m honestly afraid of Jamie Kort after reading this 🤣🤣
What in tarnation did I walk into in my Lavender plant?! Tallulah and Gary have some splannin' to do…
If you loved the previous yarns about sock puppets form this author, this one is sure to please, and just in time for Halloween! Grab your Lavender oil, your holy knitting needles, and settle in for the epic battle of good vs evil, or cotton vs polyblend! It's time to get SOXORCIZED!
This book is equal parts funny and disturbing. It half heartedly takes itself serious as should you. A little bit of erotica, a little bit of splatterpunk, and a whole lotta puppets doing weird 💩. Your Mother sews socks in Hell indeed.
There is a poor sock soul in peril in the dust filled attic. Her only hope of redemption is the Soxorcist and he will do anything to save her.
WTAF! This author know his socks! Knows their deepest darkest most depraved secrets and reveals them to us all in this third instalment.
If you are easily offended do not read this but if you want a quick depraved, sick, brutal, “holy shit” story that requires a brain bleach at the end this will both amuse and disgust in equal measure.
Honestly this is a wild ride and had me roaring laughing, it is extreme, bizarre horror in a genre that Jamie invented and excels at.
Buckle up for a short mind blowing trip into socksual shenanigans.
I kinda have mixed feelings about this one, not gonna lie. I am a huge fan of the sock puppet universe stories that provided the foundation for this story. I find the whole universe very entertaining, beautifully sarcastic and much better than most sentient inanimate object stories. For this one - I guess I want to say I wished this story was a bit more like the original ones. It was an interesting read, but not my favorite from the line-up. Well written though, as always.
Wow. This was gross and disturbing but I’m here for it. I always love these sock puppet tales by Jamie and hope they don’t stop anytime soon. If you’re looking for something original give this a read. You won’t be disappointed.
Thank you to Jamie Kort for giving me this book in return for my review!!
So I loved this. Initially it was a cutesy little sock puppet story and was pretty silly and funny. But then it takes a left turn into WTF territory really fast. The description of the Hoarders? 🤮🤮 Hilarious, disgusting, and weirdly erotic this book was a whole wild ride and I am HERE for it.
Now onto Jamie’s sock puppet smut that drunk me purchased and forgot about in my kindle library.
Yep. It’s me. One of the peeps who won the cover contest for this story called The Soxorcist.
Let me tell you, after reading it, I am super very proud to be connected with such a tale!
Jamie Kort knows how to write Bizarro. He’s seriously good and definitely one of the best Bizarro writers out there right now. Honest. The Soxorcist is utterly weird and wonderful. It’s gory, twisted, and wrong on so many levels.
I freaking loved it very.
Snap this up. You need to feast upon this oddness.
Ok so who would have thought that a story which is basically sock puppet theatre? could turn so damn filthy? And not in the dirty socks hiding under the bed kind of way. The tale was super bizarre and does pay homage to the exorcist and Matthew Vaughn. I can't quite get over how Jamie put so much description and detail into the story, along with a couple of well-timed sock and knitting jokes. I defo had some vivid visuals of sock puppet love bouncing around my head. But I love the way it darted back and forth, from humour to damn right dark. I won't lie to you the ending was very unexpected and hit me in the feels to an extent. So yeah, weird and wonderful with a lot of gross.
I don't know if I should be horrified or turned on by this....horrifyingly turned on?
Never in my life did I think I would read sock erotic horror, but it was a really fun change of pace! The poor Soxorcist really went through the ringer for that sock, and he deserves a nice long washing for his troubles.
Jamie has a delightfully devious mind, and I've really enjoyed all the sock horror I've read! While short, the stories are so much fun to read and give you a new wariness for your sock drawer!
Now the real question....Soxorcist Part II? We've got a demon googly eye situation to contend with, and I'm very curious how that influences our somewhat tainted Soxorcist
WTF did I just read 😂 so this little short story had my head spinning because I didn’t understand wtf was going on. Has some great humor in it, and some messed up and gross stuff too, pretty sick and vile. I did enjoy it though. Had me cracking up while at work.
Wow just wow. A lot of fluid hair needles but he gets the job done. You honestly just have to take it for what it is a splatter punk horror novel about exorcising a demon sock it was funny and a working knowledge of knitting is not needed but preferred. Cast off.
I’m gonna be honest, I’m happy I have adult money to spend on stories/books like this, but frankly it’s not an interesting one. Weird sock porn? Not my genre I guess.
