Standard novelization of the first episode! It doesn’t add too much, aside from reminding me of side characters’ names, but it’s good and cute and everything I’d expect from Unicorn Academy!

Not a bad fantasy book for younger readers, it's just a pretty straightforward adaptation of the Netflix special.

My main gripe is that it feels like it goes by a bit fast. I also feel it could've been more descriptive. If I didn't already know what the characters and locations looked like from the Netflix show, I'd have a pretty hard time envisioning them based on the sparse descriptions we get here.

This was just the first episode for the Netflix series of unicorn academy series 1.I just loved it soo much!But I was hoping to see the actually book transferred to the movie not a new plot.😞

Cute

This was a very cute, lower middle grade book. I just picked it up on a whim for something different to read. The author does a good job at building Unicorn Island for the reader. But they also leave plenty of room for things to be explored more in further books.

Powiem krótko - to było mocno średnie. Wiadomo - to są książki dla młodszych odbiorców, ale wydaje mi się, że to powinno pozostać tylko serialem. To nie było szybkie w czytaniu i absolutnie nie czułam żadnej satysfakcji. Historia nie była jakaś tragiczna, ale akcja działa się po prostu bardzo szybko. Dosłownie w jednym rozdziale mamy że ona np. wsiada do tej łódki, a w następnym rozdziale już jest i się wszyscy i poznają. Takie dosłownie opowiadanie po prostu serialu. Myślę, że tego typu książki spodobałyby się dzieciom przedszkolnym. Bo wydaje mi się, że w podstawówce już mogłoby to być zbyt szybkie i chaotyczne. Nawet nie wiem czy jest to dobra pozycja na początek z czytaniem. No na pewno spodoba się najmłodszym, ale w tej kategorii wiekowej i w tej tematyce możemy znaleźć dużo więcej, dużo lepszych książeczek. Nie było to złe, ale na pewno nie było też najlepsze. Trzeba też zaznaczyć że mamy tutaj trzy Osobne historie, trzech osobnych osób. I niby to jest ciekawe, ale mam wrażenie że te historie są zbyt oddzielone od siebie. Nie jest to tak jakby „kontynuacja” tych pierwszych, tylko zajmujemy się osobnymi historiami. I mówię tutaj ogólnie, bo żadna z tych trzech pozycji nie była jakoś wyróżniająca. Ja osobiście nie jestem fanką i naprawdę jestem w stanie wskazać lepsze książeczki, a mimo to bardzo podobne do tej. Mimo to, jeśli macie rodzeństwo, kuzynostwo albo dzieci w tym najmłodszym wieku (4-6) to możecie spróbować i być może wasze dziecko/rodzeństwo/kuzynostwo to polubi. Jednak wydaje mi się, że lepszym rozwiązaniem jest po prostu obejrzenie serialu.
