You know those books that are clearly not good but are highly enjoyable anyway? This. This is one of them.

Historically, record breakingly MID. Mid storyline, annoying main girl lead, felt like the whole thing focused on getting heli and sooha together. Like bro i get that you were her knight in shining armour in like 14 bc but i do not care enough to allow it to be the entire premise of the webtoon.

I feel SO conflicted about writing this review, but ONLY because I didn't love the beginning (it felt like I was being thrown everywhere and wasn't sure how Sooha was getting from point A to point B). The middle to the end though? VERYYYYY good! (Though that last page left me deeply conflicted but more on that later.)
So I liked how the beginning picked right back up where the previous volume ended! I really enjoyed seeing Jakah be the "knight in shining armor" (even though I love Heli) as well as a few of the other guys have some good focus and spotlight! I have really loved the entire cast of vampires, but I feel that outside of Heli, they don't get a lot of page time so I always forget their names. *sobs* So yes, it was nice to see them get some love on page for once!
However, after things wrapped up, I wasn't quite sure where the story was going? It felt very disorienting and I was trying to figure out what happened to Sooha from volume one to now because I felt she had a strong head on her shoulders, but it was like she just threw common sense out the window. Honestly, I felt very disappointed by that because I loved her in the first volume! I guess I don't dislike her now, but even with her emotions going haywire after a special dream, why did she think it was a good idea to go outside ALONE and far from the school?
The second half though was VERY action-packed and continuously felt myself gasping from events that were unfolding! I read this second volume in under an hour which is extremely rare for me to do in general, but especially manhwa! But I could not put this book down once secrets were coming out and Sooha was emotionally unraveling. (Sorry to say it that way, Sooha!)
The big reveal was HUGE! I legit did not want to turn the page because I didn't want to see the fallout that was about to happen! I definitely didn't expect that things would even go MORE downhill after that moment! Sooha feels the center of all this chaos and feel so bad for her with everything that is being bombarded on her!
Now I will say that I made it well known after reading the first volume that I hardcore shipped Heli and Sooha together. They're amazing and still ship them together! But I felt a little…concerned? Unsure? about the last chapter. I didn't mind the quiet moment I don't think, but I guess I feel a little disappointed it seems to be a "fated" kind of thing?
Not sure how to expand on that without going into spoilers, but I do want to get the next volume! This is by no means a ground-breaking series, but I had fun reading it and was very much engaged emotionally! I'm wanting to see what happens next and see Sooha find answers to what just happened, especially in regard to who this new character is.

This really is the plot of 2010’s Wattpad story, but it’s a fun pallet cleanser. The nostalgia is real thanks to this. Sooha and the boys are going through it.

I really like this series. This is my favorite of the HYBE collabs. I would like to continue the series, but HYBE is under a lot of heat right now with bullying and defamation of Korean idols from their own organization as well as other companies. I'm going to let the waters settle a bit before I support HYBE with their endeavors.

It took me a bit to figure out what I wanted to rate this volume but also what to say because I LOVE the majority of it but also had quite a few nitpicks that had me lower the rating a star—without those this would have been a five star like Volume One.
For what I liked: THE ACTION. My word the action/fight scenes are EVERYTHING; I felt like I was right there experiencing everything with the characters, the pain, the fast pace, the violence, the sheer desperation…it was all so excellent! And if they screw this up in the anime I’m gonna be so mad, lol!
Continue to also love the vampire boys and their banter—the “sacrifice Solon” scene had me DYING it was so funny!—and just overall bond with each other plus their protectiveness over Sooha. I still really like Sooha too but I also had some issues with her in this volume that I’ll get to in a bit. The werewolves are fine, I don’t love them but don’t hate them either—they have potential, I’ll say that though, again, I have beef with Khan that I’ll get to in a minute.
And like in my review of Volume One, Heli gets his own paragraph because HELI! Guys, this guy WRECKED me with his eyes! I don’t know how the artist drew him with such soulful, expressive eyes but they need to get a raise because it’s so GOOD and you feel like a gut punch everything he feels and is going through JUST THROUGH HIS EYES!!! It’s amazing and makes me love him even more! The other characters are very expressive too but something about the way he’s drawn is just different somehow. And what he says to Sooha after the battle at the end…! Just kill me now, that was so stinking sweet and powerful and if they don’t get a happy ending at the end of this series I’m gonna riot!
Okay, so on to my nitpicks and negatives: Um, Sooha. GIRL, are you an idiot?! First she goes out at night by herself AFTER BEING ATTACKED BY A FREAKING VAMPIRE HORDE WHAT THE HECK?!?! Good grief, girl, use your head! (She wasn’t though which is a huge factor here, heh) Also, GIRL, you live in a world where vampires are common so WHY don’t you know about werewolves?! When she told Khan she saw “huge stray dogs” I slapped myself on the forehead so hard I probably gave myself permanent brain damage. Just…really? REALLY? Girl, you need to read Heli’s books ASAP, lol.
On the subject of Khan did we really need the bit of him “falling” for Sooha? It’s clear she’s into Heli so I’m actually not worried about there being a love triangle but come ON the story didn’t need this, especially because it made Heli sad and we don’t do that here, no siree! The also “magical forced” nature of it made me roll my eyes and slap my already damaged head again too because it feels so…I don’t want to say forced but kinda? Maybe more “unnecessary” would be a better word and then his actions around Sooha afterwords just made me roll my eyes just, UGH.
So as you can see severe mixed feelings but overall enjoyment! I’m really loving this series overall and am eager to continue!

Admittedly I wouldn’t have enjoyed this near as much if I wasn’t an Engene and a Lune, but this was an interesting read. I love Khan and the other werewolves with my whole heart. And I love Sunghoon’s and Sunoo’s characters. I love all the ties to the two groups’ music videos and I will definitely keep reading the series.

This is so enjoyable and I am not in to vampires/werewolves romance stories. Chris is back and evil maybe??!?? Definitely a real weirdo. The FL feels so generic why are they into her really we don’t know but I’m cool with that. She’s got 11 dudes at the same time… I love that for her.

I get the feeling I'm laughing at this story in places I wasn't intended to. I can't take this over-the-top, ridiculous teen-rated PNR seriously at all. When it tries to be sincere, and the hero and heroine are weeping over their sorry fates, and our hero sits on a tree branch with heroine Sooha and earnestly says "I was born to keep you safe. I live in order to protect you", it brings on a chuckle rather than a sympathetic tear in the eye.
I read in someone else's review that they saw references to the bands' (bands'? not band's?) music videos in this story*, and well, I'm much more interested in this as a piece of goofy fluff than I am in apprenticing myself into a new fandom so I can nod sagely at things like that. If somebody out there knows anything about this, and wouldn't mind putting up a link to a video or two, that'd be cool, but I'm far too lazy to do the legwork myself. This is by no means an obligation on your part! :D
* Enhypen, a Korean boy band, is credited on the cover, and apparently a number of the characters were created by and/or based on its members. I have no idea what the other band might be.
I'm fond of Jakah's character type--the guy who's drawn to our heroine due to forces outside either of their control--though of course it's painfully obvious that Heli is the red-thread guy here. It'll be fun to see Jakah agonize about things for a while...
For a "by committee" series, this is amusing and charming. The art's a little basic, the backgrounds are perfunctory, and the battle scenes are very hard to follow, but the writing is fun and lively, and the character designs and expressions are nicely done. Definitely willing to keep on with it.

✧ Une suite 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲, 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲, et pleine de 𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. Je n’ai pas les mots pour dire à quel point j’ai dévoré ce deuxième tome. La fin du premier volume m’a laissé sans voix, mais là. C’est une source de révélations et surtout une torture de nous laisser avec ce suspens.
✧ 𝐋'𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐢𝐫𝐞
Nous retrouvons nos personnages principaux encore plus déterminés de ne pas « être amis » avec notre belle protégée. Entre mensonges, révélations, ce deuxième tome est un coffre-fort de surprises. Une fois que j’ai ouvert ce tome, je ne l’ai pas lâché à tel point que je voulais constamment connaître la suite de leurs aventures. La fin de ce livre est juste pour m’achever, et ça Neotoon ce n'est pas très gentil.

Nous ne pouvons pas détester un seul personnage, mais comme beaucoup, j’ai déjà fait mon choix, et quelle partie je suis. Je ne peux pas vous en dire trop, au risque de vous spoiler, mais, sachez une chose, c’est qu’on ne peut pas résister aux deux groupes ennemis qui se battent pour notre chère et tendre protagoniste.

Tout est 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘂𝘅, que ce soit au dialogue, à l’addiction de l’histoire ou au design des dessins, tout est pour moi parfait. La palette de couleurs, les jeux de couleurs et la qualité des images. Pour cette saga, la maison d’édition ainsi que les graphistes ont fait un travail 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲.

Tout est 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘂𝘅, que ce soit au dialogue, à l’addiction de l’histoire ou au design des dessins, tout est pour moi parfait. La palette de couleurs, les jeux de couleurs et la qualité des images. Pour cette saga, la maison d’édition ainsi que les graphistes ont fait un travail 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲.

Band 1 war für mich ein Überraschungshit, ich wurde unglaublich gut unterhalten! Band 2 macht genau da weiter und hat mich mit reichlich humorvollen Szenen beschenkt, die zeichnerisch auch wieder sehr spaßig umgesetzt waren.
Soohas Unwissenheit zu den Identitäten der beiden Jungs-Gruppen (Vampire und Werwölfe) wurde etwas ausgereizt, aber dann gibt es doch endlich den „Moment der Wahrheit“ und eine Offenbarung, die nochmal alles komplett über den Haufen wirft. In diesem Zusammenhang folgen einige blutreiche Actionszenen und dynamische Kämpfe, aber auch ein bisschen angedeutete Romantik darf nicht fehlen.
Zeichnerisch war auch dieser Band wieder ein Fest, haben hier alle Kapitel ihren jeweiligen farblichen Schwerpunkt und wechseln von dunklen Blau- oder Lila-Tönen, zu hellem Grün oder Rosa; dies ist wirklich wunderbar durchdacht und umgesetzt. Die Sonnenuntergangs-Szene in leuchtendem Orange hat mir da besonders gut gefallen!
Auch die Hintergründe sind wieder sehr detailliert und das gesamte Artwork einfach wunderbar anzuschauen!
Ich finde es gut, dass jetzt endlich mal die Karten auf dem Tisch liegen und Klartext gesprochen wird, und bin daher umso gespannter auf den Fortgang der Geschichte!

*sees Solon/Sunghoon on the cover* *swooning intensifies*
Okay I absolutely love this volume (not only for the cover 😁)!! The chapters are super interesting and a lot more happens to move the plot forward, including Sooha finding out the boys' secret and Chris, her childhood friend, coming back into her life. This volume also has a lot more action and its pacing is also faster, making it even more exciting to read!
Chris and the mystery that surrounds him is an aspect that I'm really curious about, but I'm also interested to see what happens between Sooha and Heli after the last scene, in the final chapter of this volume!
Also, the similarities between Enhypen's Drunk Dazed music video and the party scene in this volume... chef's kiss 👌 Part of the reason why I'm having so much fun reading this webtoon is finding all the similarities with Enha's music videos!! 😁 I can't wait to read the next volume!!

This is my Review for Volume 2 and 3 because I read them in one sitting:
okay so. Basically: this series has potential, i kind of see the vision. There are moments I like. But at the end of the day there is just as much I don't like.
Special Shoutout to Solon and Khan for actually being very decent. (...I realized while writing this that this might just be because they are based on my biases xD but honestly - if anything that should make me more picky about their portrayal... so i'll still go with this)
For every positive - I have a negative - so 3 Stars felt on brand.
+ Pls give my girl Sooha more agency and more of a brain though... Like - there was some stuff she should've figured out by herself before she was shown.
