While definitely not as good as the author's Elaina books (or rather, the first three of that series), this tale set in the same world is still an interesting exploration of human nature and how magic can wreak havoc with it. The supposedly different narrative voices all sound identical, which is a major problem, but the fourth chapter alone is strong enough to carry the book.

Was a bit different than expected with the trash items and who's POV you got. It was entertaining mysteries to unravell. I think fans of the series xxxHOLIC by Clamp will like this.
