Darkness Falls, Book 6, by Barry Napier and Mike Kraus is Sunlight.
Makayla and Wayne are able to travel in a crowded bus to an Army base, set up (like many others across the country), as a safe haven for thousands like them, who've so far survived the deadly kudzu's encroachment.
Hoping for news of her husband Gary White and their son Dylan as they watch tv news broadcasts, they instead see only death and destruction, along with fleeing survivors shown by panicked reporters across the nation.
Who's been wounded en route?

This was a very good book which completed an excellent series. It was kind of expected that it would end on a much needed positive. Adam’s takedown of the VEA head was epic. Now excuse me while I google kudzu so I can see if there is any around my house…just in case.

Emotionally intense series.

What a great series this was. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The books put you through every emotion possible. I was holding my breath, biting my lip and couldn't stop reading till I ended a chapter were team characters were safe. Highly recommended.

This series had it all
I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters.
The White’s reunion was emotional.
Definitely recommend this series!!
