Shadows of Betrayal

Rate this book
In a continued search to avenge the deaths of his friends, Hollis joins Aristoi in traveling north into the frozen land of the Rangor people and the wild beasts that live among them. They soon come to the chilling realization that a darkness out of the Songspear's past haunts their every step.

Separated from the man she loves, Asaege is left to her own devices among the revolution she inspired in Oizan. She struggles to hold the disparate revolutionary forces together in the face of a new charismatic opposition leader.

Meanwhile, Jillian, Asaege's reflection on Earth, finds herself in the cross hairs of a serial killer targeting the Earthbound counterparts of his victims in Taerh. As Jillian's safety becomes compromised, so do her options in choosing allies and protecting friends.

Shadows of Betrayal brings legends to life and reminds us that when the student is ready, the teacher appears.

This is my favorite book in the series so far! New characters are added and the familiar characters continue to develop. Harby is really hitting his stride in this series and book three seems to be revealing his comfort with sharing the characters and world that he has created.
