I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is late as it wasn’t letting me download it until the other day.
When I requested this book I was unsure what to expect, I do wish it was longer as I wanted more from the characters. But the tension between the two main characters and the way it ended, holy moly, it had me wanting more. I love me some fake dating, and the fact that they struggled to get along also made me want to continue reading because who doesn’t love a little hate. I definitely want to know what is going to happen next as I believe that this book was really fast and I want to know more about the characters. It doesn’t seem like we got to know the characters other then what he does for a job and what she does for a job and she was cheated on

This was the second book by this author that I’ve read, and I very much enjoy that it’s shorter book cause the perfect in between books.
I was annoyed that I had hit nearly 40% and the two main characters hadn’t really had any interactions, and with novellas, it’s usually a lot sooner, and both of their personalities were so bothersome, and I was kinda annoyed.
However once I got past their first meeting, and to the ending, I understood the slower start. I’m excited to see how these characters grow.

What in the world did I just read? This was such a mess.
I was so excited to read this. Enemies to lovers, fake dating and a hot rockstar. That sounds right up my alley.
This was not enemies to lovers. Sure they didn't like each other but their dislike for eachother got completely overshadowed by lust. There was no fake dating, the third time they saw each other they were in love with each other. Sure the rockstar was hot, but had no depth. Neither did the FMC.
The pacing was super off and we didn't get to know the MC's at all. Not who they are seperately nor who they are as a couple.
I'm aware this review is all over the place, but so was this book so it kinda fits.

So I’ve been sitting for a few days thinking of what to say before I write a review. This was an okay book. Not much really stood out. But it was a fast easy read to boost my challenge for the year. Everyone’s opinions are different so it’s possible you might enjoy it! Give it a chance!!

I have never read a rockstar romance, ever. This was my first and let me tell you it did not disappoint.
The novel Rockstar Subscription by Laine Watson is a rockstar romance.

What we have here is a story of Devyn and Rowen ,where love and hate seems to fight for dominance. Sometimes you are not sure which side will win :)
Devyn is a sweet ,caring person, sadled with unfortunate family ,which put her down constantly .Fighting with some boyfriend issues she seeks help , which comes in a form of Rowen - passionate ,stubborn and prideful musician. I must admit that their inicial interactions were giving me a whiplash :)- like,dislike ,hate , love, all mixed in a hot mess.
I have been struggling with the story as Rowen was giving me a lot of headaches with his attitude. Inside reasonable, smart and passionate,on the outside a complete jerk.
I do like Devyn but i think she needs a bit of a back bone , she isn't a dormat . She should fight for what is important to her instead giving in. It frustrates me the most.
If you like short hate -love story with a bit of spice then this book is for you.

This book is the perfect quick read! You get straight into the action of the story within the first few pages!
I loved to see how the characters built within the story and how you start to fall in love with them. Devyn and Rowen show you that sometimes what you think about someone is untrue but also everyone can be hiding something. I loved their love/hate chemistry! This helps continue to push the story forward throughout the uncertainty of what will happen.
I was completely shocked by the cliffhanger and can not wait till the next book to find out what happens! I did not see this coming either 😲
Overall this was a great quick read that gives you a bit of everything which I loved, can not wait for the next one to come out!

This book has one of my only trigger warnings which is a cliffhanger so be aware before you read. Devyn is a woman who is desperate for the approval of her family and to finally get them to stop comparing her to her older sister. Unfortunately right before her graduation her “perfect” boyfriend cheats on her. She is willing to do anything to not look like a loser in front of family, enter Rowan. Rowan is a talented musician struggling to make it in a band so he works as a boyfriend for hire to make ends meet. The two meet and have instant chemistry but that turns sour quickly. The story building is good, and the characters have a really nice banter. They have a lot of miscommunication and things are left unsaid. The ending really made me upset that it didn’t give me a conclusion but I will most definitely be reading the next book as soon as it comes out.

This is the first book I have read by Laine Watson. I was not disappointed. The book is written in 2 person POV which makes it even more interesting as you get deep inside the head of both MCs. This book is only about 150 pages, but it is filled with so much. These two people are so drawn together, yet they also get on each others nerves. The chemistry is off the charts. However, both of these people have individual turmoil from family and relationships that have them broken and doing things they don't want to do.
I loved everything about this book. The steamy bits are well written. The book ends on a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to the next book.

OMG this book was great. Loved it. It was a page turner and the suspense was steamy hot of romance. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. These characters were steamy up these pages and it was too hot to handle and it will have you wanting more. The chemistry and physical attraction between was sizzling and smoking hot. Will they end up together or will it be one night stand. Will love takeover their emotions and feelings. I most definitely recommend this book. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

Wow, just wow! Rowan and Devyn’s relationship is like a roller coaster. They both have families that treat them like dirt. This book was a little slow to get started, but by the end it finally started moving. I hate cliffhangers and had I known this was one of those I probably would’ve skipped it. But now I need to know what happens. I believe when the truth comes out, we will find that April was the one in bed with Lucas. Can’t wait to find out I’m right. The model on the cover is absolutely gorgeous and a big draw to this book.

This is my first rockstar read and I was entertained by this enemies to lovers/fake dating story. Loved to hate the characters in the beginning but by the end I was wanting more. I have more mixed feelings about Devyn than Rowen, but they are both a HOT MESS and relatable to College aged readers. As the story progresses you understand why they act that way and watch their characters slowly grow. The spice level was delightful! Can’t wait for the next book in this trilogy to come out!

Let me start by saying, with this being just around 150 pages I was afraid it was going to fall flat in more ways than one. I am so glad I was wrong. This was short, spicy, and Rowen came in to swoop Devyn off her feet 😮💨 I wouldn’t necessarily say it was an enemies to lovers as they just really more disliked each other, but the fake dating was definitely there. Overall, I’d recommend this book for a quick read if you want something cute.

Took me a minute to get into it, but Rockstar Subscription turned out to be a good read! Rowan and Devyn went through a lot of character development throughout the book, and it was nice to watch them grow individually and together. I love a good enemies and lovers and fake dating trope. Excited to see what happens in the next book!

Being completely honest I hated both characters for a least the first 30% of the book. BUT I'm glad that I stuck it out to the end because I definitely enjoyed watching the character development and the SPICE! And that CLIFFHANGER!!! Book 2 can't come soon enough.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I was drawn in from the first page. I really like the plot of the story and the romance. I just wanted more and more of the story. It’s always a good book when you get attached to the characters. This is definitely a book I would recommend to others.

A nice short read with spice. I enjoyed the character development of the main characters both together and separately. A lot happens in a short time but the cliffhanger is insane. Can’t wait for the next one!

The main characters never really seem to have a conversation and always end up fighting and storming out, but they do have a lot of attraction to eachother. I do like that there was more plot in this book than the other I read.

A great quick read! I loved the banter between Devyn and Rowen. They are both horrible to each other but can’t stay away! I hope to see what happens next between them after the ending!

Rowen was an interesting character and him and Devyn together were hot! An engaging quick read which was enjoyable and kept my attention to the end. I look forward to reading more from this author.

But I don't really like Devyn. Some will enjoy her personality but I just feel she's a snob. Guess I will have to read the next one to see what happens.
