Kōsuke Fujishima (藤島康介, born July 7, 1964) is a Japanese manga artist.

Born in Chiba, Japan, he first came to public attention as an editor of Puff magazine, his first job after completing high school. Fujishima originally intended to be a draftsman, but took the editorial role after failing to get a drafting apprenticeship. He later became assistant to manga artist Tatsuya Egawa in the production of the Making Be Free! manga, and in 1986 began his first original manga series You're Under Arrest. His second manga series Oh My Goddess!, also translated as Ah! My Goddess, is extremely popular and has made Fujishima a household name in Japan. In addition, he is also well known as the character designer for several games in the Tales RPG video game series and Sakura Wars.

He is known for his love of automobiles and motorcycles, and several of his series and their characters reflect this, such as in éX-Driver and Oh My Goddess!.

More fun moments with some Urd.

World: Beautiful art. Nice little pieces of world building but nothing substantial.

Story: Small little stories again with an emphasis on Urd and the continuing relationship with Keiichi and Bell. It's nice slice of life.

Characters: A little bit more depth for the sisters and some small developments for the mains but this series is slow and I like it.

Onward to the next book!

In this volume, Mara made a plot to split Urd in her two sides, the goddess one and the demon one, but the events later are not foreseen. Quite an entertained book, not great but very, very well done.

This appears to be a collection of sequential chapters from the main series. It follows the origins, creation, and aftermath of Mara creating a full-devil version of Urd. So Urd is basically the main character of this particular volume.

The meat of the story is Urd's complicated relationship with Mara. They are friends and they enjoy hanging out together for drinks and karaoke etc. but they're also enemies because of their respective jobs as a goddess and a devil. Mara's attempt to create a full-devil version of her friendly enemy could be an attempt at resolving this (it's implied this is the case when she talks to Urd at the time of the clone's creation).
Keichi and his relationship with Belldandy is very much a secondary thing here. It's like they're the domestic and romantic beta couple to the more turbulent friendship of Urd and Mara.

There's lots of sisterly love here too. Skuld is essentially tsundere to her oldest sister during the central chapters, which is adorable. The final showdown between devil!Urd and goddess!Urd can be compared to Urd's tendency for Big Sister Bully vs her Big Sister Instinct. Then, of course, Belldandy's concern and empathy for Urd is so sweet you will go "aww" at the climax.

Also, a limelight chapter for Ban-pei. That was fun, and unexpected.

The whole thing is suffuse with comedy, but these do not undermine the more action-y or suspenseful scenes. The chapters flow really well into one another, while still being fun in and of themselves.

You can really see the improvement as the manga continues. Not only is the artwork prettier and cleaner, the storytelling is less chaotic while still maintaining the same delightful, wholesome energy (with just a touch of naughtiness lol).

As a long-time fan of the 2006 anime, it's really refreshing to get to know the beloved characters all over again in the source material. Urd remains my favorite, and Skuld is definitely a lot more likable in the manga vs anime, while Keichii is the opposite (he's a LOT more pervy in the manga). It's fun re-experiencing the "episodes" from the anime in the manga, and I cannot wait to see what happens after the material from the anime runs out...

This is the first volume where the goddess Peorth, my high school bff Kelsey's favorite goddess as I recall, appears in the series. It's good to have the plot really picking up, even as it adds in new characters. I look forward to the point when Keiichi and Belldandy finally get past the awkward stage of not communicating how they feel with each other in regards to romance.

This volume introduces Peorth, the fourth Goddess. She is very energetic and has a rivalry with Belldandy. You see where this is going. For those who never got a chance to see her other than the Movie, seeing her behavior was a bit of a shock. Still, her antics help make the entire volume worth picking up.

This is fun to read but I'm getting sick of the cursing and the butt/breast illustrations. Totally a dude mangaka... I'm done with this series.

The book starts with three pages in color, each page showing one of the three goddesses.

Goddess Urd Needed: Clone-Urd and the real Urd can't be told apart by their physical appearance; only by their actions, that is until Skuld finds a rather interesting hidden way to tell them apart. The two Urds fight, but the clone tires and Mara grabs her and vanishes.

Fear Neither Light nor Darkness: Urd finds out from Belldandy just how dangerous clone-Urd can be, and what danger it means for the real Urd herself. Mara comes to Belldandy for help, saying clone-Urd is out of control. Belldandy tries to convince Urd to merge with her evil self so she can be whole again.

Urd Mode is Gentle Mode: Bandai, the robot, has emotion circuits that have become active. It dresses itself to look like a short version of Urd. The robot does a bunch of good deeds.

Two Mini-goddesses stories.

Fourth Goddess..But Number One: Keiichi makes a call and gets the goddess' earth assistance line and another goddess, named Peorth, shows up. Peorth wants Keiichi to make some kind of special wish. She even gets into the bath naked with him. She even tries to seduce him in bed.

Are You Being Served? (The title of a neat British series about a department store and the people who work there.) Urd, Peorth and Skuld are going to have a contest to see which one of them is the most helpful goddess.

More Mini-goddess stories.
