This time a treasure hunt, a fun comic, and a mystery!!

In this one a new mystery which involves not just a treasure hunt set in a comic but also a mysterious being that stalks the halls of the school (and is pretty terrifying). I just loved that the author of the comic went to the same school as our group and decided to make a treasure hunt to celebrate the last parts of his series. The treasure hunt and how it was done was perfection. There were new issues each x time and each issue had a clue. I loved seeing not just our group but also the whole school try to figure out things, find the clues, go after hints. I just wanted to be part of it and help out everyone. As the treasure hunt got more heated things got more exciting. What would happen. What is the prize?

The monster that stalked the halls was absolutely terrifying. Yes, I knew there were humans in there (I mean, duh), but still it was quite scary how it seemed to appear out of nowhere and always seemed to be lurking somewhere.

I wasn’t too happy with the whodunnit on the monster. It felt silly and weird. I am not sure how to say it without spoiling, haha.

Stacey was actually not the worst in this one, which surprised me. Maybe the author got enough comments in regards to her? Because while I do like someone who loves supernatural, her constantly going for the supernatural and just persisting it is that gets very annoying and I wonder often if she is 5 or 10-12 years old.

The illustrations in this book were a delight again and I loved them a lot.

All in all, this was a fun mystery and I would have loved something like this happening in my school. A treasure hunt! I cannot wait for the next book!

The breakfast club adventures: the treasure hunt monsters.

As a family, we are huge fans of Marcus Rashfords previous novels. My son lives and breathes football if he hasn't got a football at his feet, he isn't well. Together, we have read every single Marcus Rashford book and have loved them all. So when @netgalley gave me and my son the opportunity to read this, we could not be more excited.
This book is action-packed, fast-paced, and great fun to read. My son really struggles to sit down and read more than a chapter at a time, so I was shocked when he couldn't put it down. He finished it over 3 days. He mentioned that because of the short chapters, it felt so much easier to read and wanted to get more read.

On first opening the ebook, my son Oscar told me how much he loved the illustrations on the front cover. He also mentioned that he liked the different text styles as we headed through the first chapter. I would say this book is aimed at children ages 8-12 years. That being said, if a child is a more advanced reader and enjoys mystery, then this could be for them too.
The illustrations throughout were perfect and helped my son visualise the story.

I highly reccomend and we will be purchasing the paper copy as soon as it is out to add to Oscars collection.

Is there anything Marcus Rashford can't do?
Massive thank you to net galley, Marcus Rashford, and Macmillan children's books for giving us the opportunity to read this.

Fourth mystery by the breakfast club and it certainly was a mystery indeed, made me feel I was part of the gang while on this job and honestly it was a real good one.
The choice of characters and the plot were both really good and I cannot wait to read the next one in the series to see what the next job is gonna be about.

I’m not 100% sold on this one. Again it was fast paced and full of action. It had a great message behind the main mystery as always. I can’t put my finger on what it was, but I’m just not sure how fast I will be going back to red it again.
