Thanks for all the great memories of Jacobson. Still know my credit card number and have a couple Jake’s boxes. I grew up in Grand Rapids going shopping with my grandmother and then later going to the East Grand Rapids store as well. That’s where I got my first credit card at the age of 18. Bought a peasant dress. By Oscar de la Renta still wish I had it it was gorgeous. After graduating Michigan State, I moved to Detroit and ended up with a job at the birmingham store. Worked in separate which was a department for women’s scarves and other specialty items loved working there. But my wedding gown there. And my very first Christmas I got a card in the mail sign. Nathan had no clue who Nathan was until the next weekend. There was Mr. Rosenfeld in the store. Such a great company. Thanks for bringing it all to reality again for me.
