C. Thomas Lafollette is a student of history and a world traveler. He’s dined with a Prime Minister, read poetry with Yevgeny Yevtushenko, and drank beer with monks. He’s the author of the action-adventure urban fantasy series Luke Irontree & The Last Vampire War and the forthcoming Red City Reaper series. Besides reading and writing, he loves a good action movie, be it a Hollywood blockbuster or a classic Samurai flick, as well as the occasional rom-com. So nice to spend time with some familiar friends. The characters' growth and the growth in their relationships is lovely to read about. Much of the individual growth in fact stems from the support received from those relationships. I have very little knowledge of polyamory, but it is presented so naturally in this that it is comfortably part and parcel of the story. The continual vampire battles are kept fresh by changing circumstances and plot-enhancing motivations. If I am honest, I am not a fan of war, of battle descriptions, of reading details of either. But the battles, tanks, and high-key situations in this book absolutely fascinated me. Also (I don't THINK this is a spoiler) there is a sequence taking place in a much more High Fantasy setting. My little hobbit heart was filled. Could barely put it down!

Things are getting real for Luke and co.!

The vamps are starting to use their ideas and employing silver. When one of Luke's crew is seriously wounded by a silver round, they decide to pull off the heist to end all heist and steal it all away from them!

Let's just say, as usual, things don't go to plan...

This book took the action to yet another level, and that's saying a lot! Plus, we get to find out what Brutus the dog really is! Wahoo!

Another rocking installment, can't wait until Luke gets rid of every last vamp and their creepy god!

Luke Irontree is at it again as he reprises the role of the Centurio Immortalis bringing the good fight to the legion of the undead. The vampires with their own personal god behind them have targeted Luke for extreme termination and as their plot is put into play the Centurio Immortalis has no choice but to roll with the punches. They would have succeeded, in my opinion, if their focus was more on extermination and less on recruiting him. The vampires fail to realize that with over two thousand years of slaying the undead, the Centurio Immortalis would never switch sides no matter the perks offered.
A terrific book. I highly recommend it.

This book, like the previous ones in the series, is a very entertaining story, well enough written to keep my interest from start to finish.
Pretty much any of these books can easily be read as a standalone tale, something not always true in a series. I am really looking forward to more novels from this author.

Action packed to the hilt as more dramas deploy. The reveal of who or what Brutus is, was totally unexpected. This book rocks excellent writing skills, well truthfully the whole series thus far. From a loner to a 3 "man" team to being part of the pack and two loves and a ward, his life drastically changed. Pablo getting bad hurt had me also emotional as the characters started feeling like family.

A horse a tank and a dog who's a God in disguise

This started out with a nice family like outing. And then there was a not so nice trip that was not what you wanted it to be. And then the next trip had tanks! But even with those things the end was still painful. That dark lord thing is not nice, time for it to go.

Another great exciting book. Enjoyed the book very much.
Upsetting in one part, twist.
Now onto the last book in the series. How is it going to end. Will have to read to find out.
