Great book! just the spy thriller mixed with futuristic elements I was looking for! I like how the main character "Duncan Pryde" is portrayed.

There is a scene in the book where he is accused of being a "cold-hearted bastard" to which he is quite hurt by the comment and he describes his ability to them just to let them know he is as human as anyone else.
This proves he isn't a true sociopath because it wouldn't have hurt his feelings or he wouldn't have seen the need to explain himself. He actually cared what this person felt about him, again proving he does have feelings just that when working he chooses not to tap into them.
looking forward to future books coming under this series.
